KeymasterHmm. I get the feeling what the scene with Emilie is, is something to accommodate her new pregnancy. Like “Belle must go on an adventure to find Magical McGuffin #4564325 to save Rumple from X” and that way she can have limited screen time. With Ginny, they wrote it in, but they may not be doing that with Emilie.

KeymasterAnd that’s a Hook episode, yes?
I believe “Swan Song” is, as that’s supposed to be the episode with Hook’s father. Though obviously Hook seems to be pretty involved in “Broken Heart”, too. So my guess is “Broken Heart”‘s flashback might be more Dark Swan stuff from Camelot that happens to involve Hook, while “Swan Song” is the Papa Jones flashback.
ARG. See, I got confused with the whole 10/11/12 mishmash. Bah.

KeymasterWith Hook’s name on the sword, I’m not sure why Emma would go through all this silliness with Rumple if she already knows that Hook’s half heart (her other half) is needed. It is something to consider, however, given that the dagger and the sword are two halves of one whole and that A and E enjoy parallels/metaphors
Just realized there is something else that could suggest that another heart sharing scenario happens: the episode title “Broken Heart.” That title could be referring to a literal broken heart, and that happens to be the episode that was being filmed at the time we found out about Excalibur being fully formed.
And that’s a Hook episode, yes?

KeymasterSpeaking of recommendations: I cannot recommend Patrick Rothfuss “Kingkiller Chronicles” enough. The first two books are out: The Name of the Wind; the Wise Man’s Fear. I have some issues with book two, but I think I read book one in like..48 hours nonstop. It’s very high fantasy with a lot of recognizable tropes and storylines but what absolutely sold me on the series was the way Rothfuss presents mythology. He *gets* the way stories are told over 10000000 of years and how people change stories to reflect their own world instead of changing themselves to adhere to the stories. His myth background to the series and protagonist and the larger light vs dark/good vs good he’s going for…are good. Very good. It’s very Tolkien meets Martin meets Morcock meets Gaiman meets classic myth meets Christian philosophy meets bildungsroman.

KeymasterI wouldn’t know what to do if the show went THERE and said that Hook was the thing Emma loves most over Henry. I wouldn’t even know how to process this. I mean, I know CS is endgame and I know CS will continue to be presented as something healthy and loving when it’s anything but….but I couldn’t stomach the idea that Emma Swan, who saved an entire realm with the love she bears her child, suddenly loves Hook more. It would feel like the biggest slap in the face of S1 and the themes of the series. So, no. Right now I’m choosing to believe (believe, not hope) that A and E wouldn’t do something so insulting as that

KeymasterHowever, I think it’s more likely that Emma somehow used either Merlin’s heart because she and Nimue are linked as Dark Ones, or she forces Guinevere to use Lancelot’s heart. Either way, there has to be a reason why both Merlin and Lancelot are currently nowhere to be seen in Storybrooke.
Yeah Gwen using Lance has been a standing theory of ours for awhile so I’m still betting on that one.

KeymasterNimue leaves a mark or takes some blood? (Also, starting to wonder if Nimue is going to be mixed with Persephone)

KeymasterIF she was even able to take Henry’s heart. Remember, Regina cast a protection spell over it specifically so that nobody could ever take it again.
Oh I know. But either 1) Henry could take his own because *reasons* or 2) Emma can take it because she’s the Savior/Dark One because *reasons*
