KeymasterI am starting to wonder whether Belle is A&E’s representative nerd….the individual that is really smart but sufferers from perpetual frustration as the cool kids never recognise them for their smarts.
No she’s the 1980s cliche sexy librarian that the nerds all want because she’s smart and sexy but with little development outside of being the brains and beautiful and in a relationship. At some point she’s going to be chewing on the end of a pencil with her shirt buttons open.
She’s also teetering (maybe in) MPDG territory.

KeymasterI….might be slightly in love with Merlin. (wut)
Belle is there because….? (moments later) Oh, because she’s Google. I almost forgot.
Lancelot knows Merlin how…?
They keep emphasising how Merlin was stuck in a tree for thousands of years and it just keeps making the plot hole about how he visited Emma in the theatre even bigger. It’s really annoying me.
I am 99.9% sure Merlin can project himself.

KeymasterI just finished this week episode of Gotham, “By Fire.” It was…okay. I have some issues with the way the show builds their characters and their motivations. For example, this is pretty common in Gotham:
–the new Captain, Barnes, vacillates quite a bit in this episode but without showing the audience *why.* In his first scene, with Gordon, Barnes yells about how there are lines and he and Gordon cannot break the law in order to bring criminals to justice. It’s a fine scene that shows Gordon’s anger and how Barnes does not agree with Gordon’s new “grey” take. Gordon makes his case, which isn’t overly compelling, and we leave them there. Toward the end of the episode, Barnes comes back into the show, but this time he tells Gordon to stop Firefly “by any means necessary” which means those decidedly “grey” tones. But…why? How did Barnes get from point A to point B. Barnes, thus far, has little development or introspective. He was presented as a man who believes in Justice and what is Right (which is fine) but nothing more than that. Then suddenly he’s telling Gordon to do whatever he needs?
This is what Gotham does all the time. They leave the character development in scenes that do not exist and expect us to follow along. It means that I don’t care about the characters because I don’t know them; they become pretty bland and cliche.
Okay, other thoughts:
–Penguin is becoming a cartoon villain. He is supposed to be the King of Gotham, or something, but he hasn’t done anything (has even really left his mansion??). He’s just sitting around, moping and crying and acting like an over the top cartoon villain and isn’t the scary and scarily quiet villain from S1.
–I find Theo boring. I find Tabby cliche. I want Jerome back.
–Ed Nygma is actually fascinating and his arc could really be interesting as we watch his villainy become more and more pronounced; it would fit with the overall “rise of the villains” arc this show has going on instead of focusing on people who are already villains (Penguin and Theo). But the show doesn’t seem to be as compelled by Ed as they are with Theo or Penguin and thus Ed’s scenes are left to small instances. I’m hoping this changes.
–The Brigett and Cat stuff was sad but once again Gotham does away with a villain who could carry an entire arc before we eve get to really know him/her. They did this with Scarecrow, they did it with the Ogre, they did it with Jerome. The show wants to stick to Penguin and Theo, but those two villains aren’t coming across as interesting anymore.
–Donal is so underused.
–I don’t know what the show wants to be in terms of aesthetic and feel: is it gritty and tough, or is it playing with their cartoon/comic past (Butch with his mallet, hanging a man in the background while people talk business)

KeymasterOf course. Charon comes with his own wind machine. It is known.

KeymasterWell, the Snow Queen might be an exception given she made the right choice in the end and sacrificed herself to undo all her evil work. And also heavily hinted she was going to go join her sisters in the afterlife, hence three happy sisters running through field flashback right after she died….so Snow Queen Ingrid might have made it to Heaven, or whatever OUAT Universe will call it.
Good point.

KeymasterAdd to that, Felix, Walsh, numerous black guards
I’d say they are sticking with BIG villains, not no-name black guards, so we can mostly count those out.
Walsh…maybe….? He wasn’t necessarily a villain because he was forced into servitude.
Felix was a blind follower. But he’s possible, though he doesn’t have a strong connection to any of the main cast, and that’s what those coming back as shades are for.
Pan/Malcolm/Cora = Rumple
Cora = Regina and Zelena (and Snow to an extent)
Ingrid = Emma
Cruella = Emma
James/King George = David
Walsh…might interact with Emma, but Felix is the odd man out because he doesn’t really connect with any of the core in a meaningful way.

Keymastere is??????????? But didn’t we see him earlier this season in the first episode?? Don’t we have set pictures of him sitting in a bus stop?? O.o I just can’t even. Last thing I recall was him giving them the wand, I don’t recall him dying.
He died moments after he handed over the wand….

KeymasterI wonder if David’s brother James could make an appearance, too? Would be the easiest dead character to bring back, considering Josh plays both.
And James was a villain (of the mundane, non magical variety) so yeah, I’m sure he’s there too. If King George hasn’t been fed since S2, then he might be there as well.
On the whole, I’d expect to see: Pan (or Malcolm depending on Robbie’s availability), the Snow Queen, Cruella, King George, James…

KeymasterThe only thing I dislike is in Emma’s portrait, her hair looks like it’s just been frosted with one of those fake snow in a can things. It looks unnatural. It’s not even white blonde, it’s just whiteish.
That’s because that is exactly what it is. They just frosted it

KeymasterI know you’re probably reminded of “Magical MacGuffins”, but Lord MacGuffin, Lord Macintosh, and Lord Dingwall are all characters from the movie “Brave.
Yeah I know, but it’s one of those things that’s hilarious when used here with OUAT
