KeymasterAlso, it would have been nice to see Hook in some different threads. I’m sure pirates have some ball clothing or can get some
Everyone got new clothes except Hook because ABC has probably mandated that Colin has to be wearing some version of his pirates outfit at ALL TIMES when he’s on screen. It’s rather really annoying (and really shows what ABC’s focus is) especially because I’d like to know how Camelot came up with a Captain Hook outfit at the drop of a hat, seeing as how they supplied everyone else with shiny new ball gowns/outfits.
Even though Emma looked a bit ridiculous, I did like the little mother/daughter moment before the ball, and seeing them walk in together, because you know that’s a thing that meant a LOT to Sno
Yes but you know what really bothered me? “Lady Mary Margaret” Okay, 1) she’s Snow White and 2) She’s a Queen in the Enchanted Forest. GAAAAAAAH

KeymasterI really think that the only way to save Emma is for her to choose to be saved by giving up the power herself, probably in some sort of sacrifice. What the impetus for that is remains to be seen, but it’s likely a heady combo of Henry, Snow/Charming, Regina, and Hook being threatened by some thing so Big and Bad that it triggers the humanity in Emma.

KeymasterAlternative theory: Charon and his ferry showed up for this one episode and will not be mentioned again. OUaT loves that.
I agree. Most likely we’ll never see the Charon again just like the chernabog was never seen again after 4×12, not even at the end of S4.
Oh I agree that’s possible but in this case I actually think it’s far more likely we’ll see Charon again, leading up to Hades. There does seem to be a conscious effort to go down Monomyth road with Emma this season and while I had thought their katabasis was less literal, they could easily go literal.

KeymasterI think Arthur’s motives are simple: he wants to keep Camelot the way it is–the peaceful, utopia-esque kingdom. In order to do that, he needs Excalibur to be whole so that people will believe he’s the rightful king. It’s shady but it’s also good-intentioned shady which is very OUAT

KeymasterIt seemed to me an odd song choice. Like, it’s great that Henry’s into the classics and all, but really, out of ALL the songs, they went with THAT one?
that was my feeling as well.

KeymasterI was also thinking, perhaps the “other realm” that the Wraith took Phillip’s soul to back in Season 2 is the Underworld?
I remember that being a super popular theory back in Season 2

KeymasterTo continue the Greek line of thought here, there are two additional stories they can tack on should Emma’s soul go down to Hades, katabasis style.
1) A more successful Orpheus and Eurydice where Hook is cast as the lover looking for his his lost girl (but this time he doesn’t “look back” and lose her)
2) A more successful Demeter and Persephone where Snow is cast as the mother who goes down the Underworld to save her child (but this time manages to get her back for more than 6 months)

KeymasterIf we really do get Hades for 5B, I predict he won’t be the sole villain. We may be getting a male equivalent to last Seasons’s Queens of Darkness, which I guess I could call the Kings of Darkness. This would include Hades, Jafar (finally appearing on the parent show), and perhaps Dr. Facilier. Those three villains could also mean Hercules, Megara, Aladdin, Jasmine, Tiana, and Naveen appearing as well. If Season 5 turns out to be the final Season like many here have predicted, my Kings of Darkness theory would make sense. They’d want to squeeze in as much as they haven’t done as possible before ending the show. Not to mention, so far this Season is chalkful of recycled plots.
My god that’s a lot of plot.
But yeah, that sounds right.

KeymasterAm I the only one who though this was stupid? I…didn’t get it? So RH died? And Emma brought him back? And so now the balance has been upset and the fury needs to take a life for his life? Is that what was going on? Then why did holding hands somehow make the fury leave? Shouldn’t they all be dead or something?
I don’t get how she brought him back with DARK (that was still light?) magic. That should be against everything in this show. Dead is Dead and Dark Magic shouldn’t be more powerful than Light.
I have no idea why the Fury left because I was too busy rolling my eyes and Snow and Charming going to die with Regina leaving their infant son alone in this world.

KeymasterI could totally see the end of this season being that the Fury comes back and takes Emma to the Underworld. If they do that, and make it her journey back from the Underworld (a proper heroes katabasis) then I’ll forgive them for making this part of the episode feel so random.
Did you just predict the cliffhanger for the Winter Finale? Episode ends with the Fury taking Emma off to the Underworld.
Yes. Yes I did. In fact, cookies on it.
The Charmings really seem to have a discount on the price of magic. That’s what I got from this.
Yes well *mumbles something that sounds like PLOT*
