Given some recent pics, Ruby, Mulan and Dr. Whale all return around 508/509. 509 was supposed to introduce Merida’s parents (yes?) so I’m still betting that Merida and Mulan are the LGBT couple.

Weren’t they in Heroes and Villains?
Yes, but like I said, 4B is sorta the break. They were introduced in 411, and appeared in 412 but their first time we saw them as villains against our core cast in a way that mattered for the present day was really 413.

But Matt’s right that the chance is a tossup and is going to depend on how far we fall, but unlike Matt I’m leaning more toward “cancel”. Here’s a breakdown season to season
S1 difference: .7 drop
S2 difference: 1.6 drop
S3 difference: .3 drop
S4 difference: 1.7 drop
S4 needs to be taken out of the equation because Frozen shot the show up higher than it had been in 2 years. So on average, S1-S3 we drop about .8-.9
The problem is now that if we drop by roughly that much this year we’re down to a 1.0 or .9 and those numbers are definitely cancel worthy. It could be a wee bit higher; in fact I’d say we won’t go lower than a 1.3 but that’s still worrisome and ABC would still cancel the show because it would be too expensive without getting the end reward.
If history is any indication (and it usually is, though, again, history has shown that we normally rise for a season premiere) then we’ll stay steady for a week or two before the drop begins.
Predictions
502: 1.8
503: 1.7/1.6
504: 1.6
505: 1.5-1.6
506: 1.4
507: 1.4-1.5
508/509: 1.6 looks like Ruby is returning for this one, so I’m giving it a bit of a boost
510: 1.5 fall finale, we normally do okay for that
511: 1.7 –100th episode, likely to be super hyped.

This seems like filler/just a villain of the week and not an actual important thing. I am still going with siren. Im betting all my cookies on a siren conjured up by Regina.
Possibly, but it would be keeping in the history of the show.
We saw Cora as the villain in 202 (We Are Both)
We saw Peter Pan in 301 (The Heart of the Truest Believer) and were really introduced to him being the villain there and then even more in 302 (Lost Girl)
We officially met Zelena in 313 (Witch Hunt) which was the second episode of that arc.
We officially met Ingrid as the villain in 402 (White Out)
