Keymasteraccording to Jane Espenson, they’ve got plans that go beyond Season 5
Every show writer/runner on television has plans to go beyond their current season. It’s not up to the writers, in the end.
but based on the acclaim OUAT received over this past summer from not just Paris but Brazil….a season 6 maybe possible.
Oh it’s possible to be sure. But not because of Paris and Brazil. Two foreign locations have no say on an American network’s decision on whether or not to keep running a program.

KeymasterActually, this makes sense. Cyclones must have the power to go between all realms. And Zee must be able to summon them. It explains how she got from Oz to EF. I always figured her broom was enchanted, but it could be that.
The slippers took her to the EF from OZ.

KeymasterYeah, I think Zelena summons a twister with the wand and that’s how they all end up in Camelot.
Yup. Though why does it take them Camelot. I though twisters were Oz? There’s no myth about twisters and Camelot that I can think of. Also, if Camelot is in a time bubble (we think?) then how does a twister penetrate it.

Keymaster1) How did Zelena get out?????
2) Black Wand? How did Zelena get the black wand?
3) I think I called it awhile back but Zelena will “know a thing” about Camelot and that’s why she’s going along. Given the wand, I’m going to assume that our Morgana = Black Fairy theory is true and somehow Zelena got the black wand after 3A?

KeymasterThat is a lot to deal with and I think all of those things combined could push her to the place where she does accept the darkness, because to Dark Emma, it means being free of all of those ‘things’ for the first time.
Ultimately I think that’s where it’s going to go. It’s another narrative point that has been given weight in the show previous to Emma-namely with Regina and Rumple that darkness is easier than fighting for the light.
It’s not a *bad* idea. And I’ve certainly enjoyed moments for Rumple and Regina over the years showing that plot point. I just don’t know that Emma’s in a place where it suddenly is easier to just accept the darkness than to fight. She has things to fight for, even if she’s had a falling out and slight resolution to falling out with Snowing. Namely: Henry.
Henry has been her center for 4 seasons. She fights to get home to Henry. Always. That has been Emma’s drive. It’s one of the quintessential character follow throughs for Emma Swan. She’ll face a dragon, for Henry. She’ll battle a giant and Cora, for Henry. She’ll go to Neverland and declare herself a mother, for Henry. She’ll leave her family behind to be sucked up in a swirling purple cloud of terror (lots of clouds of terror over the years), for Henry. She’ll kill Cruella, for Henry. She’ll believe that Henry will find her in a Author-inspired alternate reality. Henry is and always shall be her true love. So for Emma to give in to the darkness because it’s easier than facing her current situation (even if that situation isn’t as dire as it has been in the past) and not fight for Henry at the very least…well that just feels outta character.

KeymasterWell, did she not find her home, her family, her son, her purpose beginning with the end of S1 up to the present day, especially in the S3 finale and then during the Frozen arc and Queen of Darkness Arc. She accepted who she was, her powers, the whole part and parcel with Elsa in 408 (and then shot off fireworks for reasons).
I think 4B was structured to really challenge the sense of home Emma found at the end of 4A. She found out that she’s not a good person because of Emma, but because her parents are zealots. Although she struggled with good and bad decisions previously, she was really pushed to the limit in 4B. Even killing Cruella was sketchy.
Did she not ultimately find it again by willingly sacrificing her life/goodness for said town, home and people? And really challenge? Maybe yes (though she wasn’t looking to run away like she has for most of her life. She didn’t get the bug and go with the intention of never coming back). Did she have a hard season with her folks? Absolutely. She also forgave them and told them to find a way to do what they did to her as a fetus again now that she’s been infected.
