The fact that people see a leather jacket on Henry and instantly think “Hook!” makes me sad but also just a little nauseous. We talk about how Hook has taken over Emma’s story and this is another pretty clear example given that Emma has been known, since the beginning, for her red leather jacket that doubles as a superhero cape/armor.

It could mean that, but I think it’s more likely that the writers will insert some random exposition about how Emma’s “dealing with the problem” from Stroybrooke (keeping the residents safe, example) because “she’s confident that Henry can handle things” in Seattle. I actually find it hard to believe that A and E would kill off Emma forever.

I want it to be that. There’s a lot of lather, rinse, repeat of S1 going on overall with S7 and a major part of S1 is the mystery of Emma, Neal, and Henry and the whole incredibly human history there. It’s a story they were going with until it got interrupted and I suspect they want to write it, if only for themselves at this point. I suspect there will be shades of Emma/Neal/Henry all over Henry/Cinderella/Lucy (well, more than there already are)

It begs the question, though, of how recently this New Curse has been cast if Henry hasn’t tried to wake up Rumple, Regina, and Hook. Is it just that Henry hasn’t run into the New!Rumple, Regina, and Hook?

Probably just flashes of confusing memories that they can’t quite place….

KITSIS: Once you’re cursed, it’s like mono, you always have it with you.

Any plans for Emma to return for more than one episode?
KITSIS: Nope.

Will Henry be visiting places from multiple new storybooks?
KITSIS: Yes
So he’ll be going to more than one new universe? If each storybrook is a universe and he’s going to many then he’s traveling to UniverseB and UniverseC? OR do they mean that he’s going to new realms inside of UniverseB?
Will we see the Evil Queen again?
KITSIS: Absolutely. Wait, which Evil Queen?
HOROWITZ: Let’s leave it at that.
*slowly groans*
Will we know what happened with Maleficent and Lily?
HOROWITZ: Maleficent and Lily are always asked! By the way, if we do five shows after this, I want you asking this in every show.
Geez! Maybe you could stow the sarcasm there, Adam! Maybe you shouldn’t write plot lines, drop them like hot potatoes without any resolution!

"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"If so, why does the original feature the EF, Wonderland, Oz, the Underworld, etc and why did Isaac travel realms? It’s…..weird.
I think the only way I’m able to rationalize this–and it’s admittedly sloppy–is that all the realms we saw in the first six years were in one universe. UniverseA, if you will. Now all the realms we are going to see are from UniverseB (but this doesn’t explain how books from UniverseB wound up in the Sorcerer’s House in UniverseA). But in short, each realm doesn’t have a book/Author but each universe does.
It helps to just think of this an a brand new seperate show.
But yes, this is actually the real answer.

But EP Adam Horowitz is quick to add: “Different books have different mythologies, so it’s not like we’re going to tell the Author mythology the same way, or the Dark One mythology the same way. There’s going to be new things and new mythology to explore.”

I mean…I guess? If it’s a whole new universe then yeah, sure, the rules are different but 1) that’s gonna be pretty messy and confusing especially if you’re a GA and 2) these writers were never all that great at keeping to rules and logical world-building in check in the first place so I’m not so sure I should put any trust in them when they’re gonna override a lot of their original material because of “different universe” reasons.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"I feel like this is going to be the introduction of some kind of magical McGuffin. Like inside the garden is a some kind of magic mushroom that jogs peoples cursed memories or some nonsense.
Or we could go super literal: there’s a literal and actual fork that makes paths for the characters to follow. Ariel was hiding it in her house but gave it to Henry because reasons. She affectionately calls it her dinglehopper.

And then we’ll get some sympathetic backstory about how Tremaine grew up really poor and didn’t want that for her own family so she kept trying to ensnare rich men.
(It’s like I’ve heard/seen this story before….)
