KeymasterI should note this would match with what the press release mentioned about Regina gaining leverage over Rumple:
In Storybrooke, Regina gains leverage to keep Gold from interfering with her plan to rescue Robin

KeymasterAs for Regina, she steals Belle’s heart. She believes the Evil Queen needs to do what she does best in order to save the people she loves.
O_o wut?

KeymasterOh, and how did Zelena get all green and wicked in the “Snow Falls” period? She would’ve been dressed in the blue sweater she was wearing in the prison cell. And if they use the “the two Zelenas during that time merged into the one” time travel law (which I think is what’s supposed to happen), why didn’t that happen to Hook?
more to the point, how did she even become corporal again? She was a sentient life force floating around the EF…but then became all…fleshy again?

KeymasterI said this back when this was a spoiler, but I’ll say it again. I do genuinely believe that they planned on this Marian=Zelena plot twist since the end of Season 3
Quite possibly, but then the way Marian was handled in 4A is weird. I’ll quote Lily Sparks since she said it best:
Maid Marian has always been Zelena? All the time she was in Storybrooke, Maid Marian was Zelena in disguise, quietly moving in on Robin Hood to spite Regina? So this was true when she told Regina that Regina could have Robin Hood because she, Maid Marian, was moving on? And this was true when she unwittingly ate some magicked ice cream that turned her into an ice statue for the entire time Elsa was in town? And this was also true when she first came to Storybrooke and immediately recognized Roland, who Zelena had never seen before?
You’re probably right that the writers did plan this, but once again we’re looking at the execution for the plot.

KeymasterHilariously, Robin dressed up like a flying monkey guard, engaged in an arrow fight with Zelena, pocketed a pretty necklace, and learned such an important lesson from the Knave about honor amongst thieves that he decided to abandon his Applebee’s and start a Communist colony out in the forest.

Wow that’s a great face.

KeymasterThe ratings until the season finale are largely going to depend on how the GA feels about the latest plot developments. Is Zelena being alive something that they are sold on or something they didn’t like at all. To be fair, I’m seeing both reactions around the interwebz today.
I think we’re going to be slightly in flux for the rest of the season. I expect a dip next week and the week after. But I think it will go back up slightly (probably to a 1.6/1.7 again) for 420 because you know they’ll really hit that Cora is returning

KeymasterI think the thickening of the blood is something very specific to dark ones being the price of their curse. I don’t think general users of dark magic (e.g. Regina, Zelena, Cora) were afflicted with this particular price of magic–though they may have had to pay in other ways (e.g. the hole left in Regina’s heart was a price of casting the dark curse).
I think that’s very likely as well. But again, it would have been useful to throw in a line somewhere about that.
