KeymasterI saw it today, too. Beautiful, but it lacked something. The Frozen short was worth the price of the ticket by itself though.
Frozen Fever was fine but it went on for too long, the song was lackluster, and the only real highlight was Olaf being Olaf. *shrug* Wouldn’t miss it if I hadn’t seen it and would be perfectly fine not seeing it again.

KeymasterRumple and Pan’s dead body are transferred … somewhere

Chances are, their bodies just magically exploded, and there were no remains.

KeymasterDid the curse transfer to him, however briefly? And then back to Rumple, however briefly?
This is how Screwball Ninja rationalized it, and I think how it was supposed to work?

Rumple stabs himself with his enchanted dagger

The Dark One curse is supposed to transfer from the original host to the person who stabbed him … but in this case it’s the same person

The Dark One curse tries to transfer back into Rumple, but Rumple is dying from the whole stabby-heart thing

Oh no, says the Dark One curse, and disappears in a puff of “404 DARK ONE HOST NOT FOUND” logic

Rumple and Pan’s dead body are transferred … somewhere

Keymaster(2) despite the darkness being driven from her heart as an unborn baby, Emma nevertheless still developed the potential for darkness again while growing up as an orphan.
Which is pretty much what the Apprentice said: that we are all born a blank slate. I think he really just did a showy trick to get Snowing to calm down but in reality nothing happened.

KeymasterRump stabbed himself with it and died
I know that’s how it played out on screen and how A and E explain it, but I’ve said this once and I’ll say it again: that is physically impossible. The dagger is not long enough to pass through one entire human being, out the other side, and into Rumple’s chest cavity the point that it would enter his heart.
The human body is not 2-D, like a piece of paper. It’s very much a 3-D object and quite a cavernous one at that. To pass through the back and out the front would take a dagger longer than the DO’s dagger. The back does not simply yield to the front. There is muscle and tissue and organs not to mention just SPACE.
When he did have it, I assume that he, like Rump, wanted to keep the power but the not enslavement bit so he went after the Sorcerer’s hat.
Yes until he decided that death was a better option. We don’t know how soon or how much later the events of 404 are before 108. Was it another hundred years? Fifty? 10? 40000?
So my answer as to why Zoso didn’t stab himself with it was A) he wasn’t suicidal when he had the dagger and then B) When he was suicidal he didn’t have the dagger to do it himself and so had rump do it.
Pretty much. He also needed someone to steal the dagger because he was forbidden to take it; the Duke had control over him via the dagger.

KeymasterYes you’re right she does say that in Miller’s Daughter. However 1) Cora could be lying 2) Cora could be wrong 3) The writers changed their minds
I think it’s probably 2). Seemed more like she was theorizing. I mean, prior to then, had any Dark One died outside of the typical getting stabbed with the dagger method? Rumple was only dying otherwise because he was mortal when he got attacked by Hook, since he was outside Storybrooke limits with no magic.
This might shock some people but I tend to lean towards #2 instead of #3. We have no idea how Cora even learned about the dagger and what it does. It does sound like she’s making it up out of thin air in order to get Regina to go along with the overall plan.
