I’m late to the party, but here’s my reactions to the episode.
Liked:
– Ivy. She’s awake and is in league with the tower witch! Loved this reveal/twist. Didn’t see it coming. I’m really liking her character – fun snark and more than meets the eye. Her tiny scene in New EF was fun too. Adelaide Kane is doing a great job in her role. Also: Ivy looks at the Witch’s hair. “We really need to find you a stylist.” – Wig theme of the season! haha
– Roni finding the pic. I liked that it didn’t instantly trigger her memories – it will be fun to see that play out between Roni and Henry.
– Victoria’s “anti-pep?” speech to Ivy. Wow. This is a new level of mother to daughter cruelty. Even Cora pretended to care about Regina. Victoria is just flat out verbally abusive. It’s awful to see, but they needed to take her to the next and different level in that way to distinguish her as a unique villain, so I’m glad they’re portraying that more than they have been.
– I’m not a huge fan of Disney’s “Princess and the Fog” movie, but I like their twists and execution of the story. Facilier was a good villain – I’m assuming will get more of him later. I also liked them giving us part of how Tiana became the woman she is as the resistance leader.
Mixed:
– I liked seeing Tiana’s character development and her conversation with her Mom at the end, but how exactly did she solve the kingdom’s money problems? Yay for character growth, but you still have to pay the bills Tiana lol I’m hoping we see that explained further in future episodes.
– Jacinda and Sabine’s story. Yes Jacinda was too harsh after the fire, but I can appreciate her struggle and spending the rent money to buy a stripped out food truck really doesn’t make sense. The balance between being realistic, yet hopeful wasn’t quite there like I think the writers wanted it to be.
– I really want to know Lucy’s level of “awakeness.” If she remembers everything, I feel like her emotions and reactions to everything need to be more dynamic like when she started to break down and cry in the first episode. Even if she just has knowledge of the past, this should be really traumatic for her. It was hard enough for Henry as a kid, believing the truth without anyone supporting him – Lucy actually lived through some of this!
Disliked:
– No Rumple or Alice. Especially after last week’s ep it would have been nice to at least have acknowledged they’re still on the show.

I’m not sure I’d buy those claims on YouTube because OUAT stopped being aired on British TV around the end of S2! It might only be “popular” on Netflix.
That’s interesting to know. Like you said, they must be saying it’s popular on Netflix there, which brings us back to not have Netflix numbers which isn’t helpful. Lol.
Kinda makes me worried that she won’t be around for the full Season, if that ends up being the reason she wasn’t promoted. She’s one of my favorites of the newbies, so I certainly hope not!
She’s become a new favorite of mine too! That could be why she’s not billed as starring, but in S1, Graham was even though they planned on killing him off 7 episodes in from the beginning. I’m thinking maybe it was a bit wanting to pay that many starting characters thing.

I’m thinking he’s probably Flynn too, but could he possibly be Roni/Regina’s new love interest? What he’s both baby Snowflake grown up AND Regina’s new love interest? ?
we know the winter finale is called The Secret Garden.
There was a recent article that said there’d be just 10 episodes before the break, so “The Eighth Witch” will be our winter finale.
That would mean killing off Sophie Lowe’s Alice, though.
Why would Sophie Lowe’s Alice have to die? It would be confusing, but the two Alices already exist canonically and I would welcome Ana and Will back into the show for some closure. Awesome idea Matt!
As the daughter of powerful parents
Interesting. So does that mean Zelena regains her powers? I would imagine so. And it’s “powerful parents” plural, so does Zelena marry a powerful character who becomes Robyn’s step parent? Any guesses on who that could be?

Agree. “Beauty” seemed to generate some buzz among fans online, so that may help.
