Gretel, but no Hansel?
Still Roni?
The CANDY KILLER!?
Yeah, what?!?
Please don’t make the yet to be seen Gretel the “Candy Killer.” What even is this?
[adrotate group="5"]ry4christParticipantShe never wished to escape before, was my question? Was that just not impossible enough?
I don’t think they are going to explain why she has this magic.
I’m assuming she did wish to escape from the tower, probably every birthday, but her powers didn’t manifest themselves until she turned 17. As to why she didn’t wish to escape from the dungeon with Robin, I don’t think Alice fully realized she had magic since Robin had to connect the dots for her with her creating the troll.
ry4christParticipantPersonally my bets are on Hook, or Zelenas unseen husband. It would be fitting if the guy she was with turns out to be a witch hunter of some kind.
Ooooh that’s good. Zelena’s husband make a ton of sense. Maybe her centric and the episode he appears in is called, “Chosen” because he specifically chose her a pawn in his plan. My thought with it being Anastasia is that she could have a motive in that Gothel took her mother from her. Maybe as a preteen/teen? in the New EF she sought revenge on Gothel and now she’s getting it by killing Gothel’s coven off and ruining her plans.
ry4christParticipantCould Anastasia be the killer somehow? The witches didn’t start dying until she woke up.

Exactly! There’s just no way the lines in “The Return” about BF being the “Original Power” and “more powerful than anyone” weren’t meant to set something up. Also the fact that they originally wanted Lady Gaga for the role, makes me think there were bigger plans for. I doubt it will happen, but I’d love to hear the writer’s original plan for her character.
ry4christParticipantThey were very clear when they created the wish realm. That it wasn’t real. It was a created construct of Emma/split Regina’s wish. Real Regina did not murder a Snow and Charming and then steal a version of Henry’s mother leaving that Henry parentless and desperate and alone. They wanted to make sure that we knew that it wasn’t real because of that.
I think the writers always intended the Wish Realm to real because the episode after Regina killed Wish Charmings, she was able to bring Wish Robin to Storybrooke. They needed Regina to think it wasn’t real so she could kill the Wish Charmings to wake up Emma and still remain a good guy. They did however, lead us to believe in S6 that the Wish Realm didn’t exist until the wish was made, hence. It actually being a real alternate reality would be fine, if they had acknowledged it at some point. If I’m remembering correctly, original Hook questioned how WR Hook could exist, but they didn’t give an explanation- it was just “because plot.”
ry4christParticipantStill pretty sure EF2 and Wish Realm are 2 separate worlds that Hook is travelling back and forth from.
Okay, yes. The timeline makes a little more sense now but now I’m bothered by the whole world hopping thing. But I guess it’s just much easier than it used to be.
I was really hoping we’d get more on Jack/Nick’s backstory, and that he just happened to get a whole cache of beans after his experience with the giant. Although, I guess that doesn’t explain Nook’s ability to realm jump whenever he’d like.
YES. I want a Jack backstory that explains the abundance of beans too! Maybe he discovered a whole bunch more and now everyone and their mom has some including Henry who gave some to Regina, Emma, and Hook during his visits? back to Storybrooke before meeting Ella.
ry4christParticipantI agree. Any sort of pre existence of the wish realm makes no sense. The wish realm has no real history. The writers just don’t care.
The only way I can make sense of it is that when Evil Queen Half Regina made her wish, she accessed the already existing “Wish Realm” rather than wishing it into existence. Perhaps a number of actual worlds/realities truly exist in the show that involve our characters with key events occurring/never occurring. It’s super messy and not what the writers led us to believe in S6, but it’s the only way I can reconcile it in my head.

This is the last chance to drop the “Blue Fairy has been the ultimate Big Bad all along” truth bomb!LOL Sigh. What could have been.
ry4christParticipant*tilts head* I thought this would be an Alice centric episode?
Me too. Or a younger Rapunzel episode. But the promo didn’t show anything from the past, so it still could be about either of them.
I think that went out the tower window, when Victoria died.
I wanted to see them flesh out the Rapunzel, Ivy, Anastasia, Ella storyline in the past more, but I’m pretty sure Rose confirmed this ep would focus on Alice and Robin.
