ParticipantCould this “witch” be Mother Gothel since we’re getting a new Rapunzel?

ParticipantWill Henry be visiting places from multiple new storybooks?
KITSIS: Yes
So he’ll be going to more than one new universe? If each storybrook is a universe and he’s going to many then he’s traveling to UniverseB and UniverseC? OR do they mean that he’s going to new realms inside of UniverseB?
This goes back to what we were discussing in another thread. I liked your explanation of each universe having it’s own book, so I’d go with your first answer.
Will we know what happened with Maleficent and Lily?
HOROWITZ: Maleficent and Lily are always asked! By the way, if we do five shows after this, I want you asking this in every show.
Geez! Maybe you could stow the sarcasm there, Adam! Maybe you shouldn’t write plot lines, drop them like hot potatoes without any resolution!
Right?! I think they really wish their audience was dumber and more forgetful than we are. Just because your characters experience memory loss several times a season doesn’t mean we do.

ParticipantYeah, I’m fine with new books with new universes with new rules, but I hope it’s completely different rather than just a twist on the Dark One mythology, Savior Mythology, etc. Let’s do something new. Also I’m a bit confused as to why there’s a different author for each book. Does each realm have a book? If so, why does the original feature the EF, Wonderland, Oz, the Underworld, etc and why did Isaac travel realms? It’s…..weird.

Participant“She’s somebody who wants to get to the top and will use any means necessary,” EP Edward Kitsis adds. “So why it’s important for her to be royal, why it’s important for her to crush everyone else, is the story of the year.
This sounds like Cora. They’re going to have to try hard to make Lady Tremaine feel different enough, otherwise she’ll feel like Cora Lite.

ParticipantHow does Henry have gas in the FTL though? I guess this is what Colin was referring to? The land without chevron lol
There’s a BP Gas station in the forest next to the cement factory that constructed all those top notch high quality roads for the people still driving buggies with horses.
Haha! YES, the cement roads! I saw them and immediately thought what kind of world is this? Lol. I think the opening scenes were decent enough – not the best or worst dialogue we’ve had. I think I would have preferred a more interesting reason for Henry leaving Storybrooke that was revealed through flashbacks. I do appreciate the mentions of Snow, Charming, and Emma – it’s consistent with their promise that the past 6 seasons won’t be forgotten – at least they didn’t already break that. lol

ParticipantVladimir Ruzich is very tall, dark, and very handsome like Colin O’Donoghue is, but I agree that he does have more of a Mr. Gold vibe about him (what with his tailored suit). Also, Gabrielle Anwar certainly has a S1 Mayor Mills look about her. It’s basically a rehash of S1. *Lather, rinse, repeat*
Could he actually be a new version of Rumplestiltskin?
Actually…yeah, now that you say it…that sounds pretty likely
Since my theory was debunked at Comic Con, my new one is that Vladamir Ruzich is playing Dracula. He has the right look, the actor may be Romanian (couldn’t find out from a quick Google search), OUAT hasn’t done vampires yet, and I believe Dracula was in the original draft for Pilot so the character’s been on their radar from day one.

ParticipantMy 1st thought was maybe it was referring to Wonderland’s Hedge Maze, and would involve the new Alice.
That was my first thought as well.

ParticipantIt’s very interesting that we have a casting for Drizella but not Anastasia and that we have a new Alice. If not for Will’s connections to Robin Hood and Maleficent, Ana could definitely be from this version of Cinderella. I don’t see how they could work Ana and Will back in but it’s weird they’re bringing in an alternate Alice and Cinderella in. Also, I’m pretty sure fans will riot if they try to do a new version of the Mad Hatter…

ParticipantI’m triggered. This feels like a massive slap in the face and ‘Eff you’ to the fans that DID watch Wonderland. By all means use the different book excuse like they did with Cinderella but don’t say “Since none of you watched the spin-off”. It definitely seems like they don’t care about those fans or OuaTiW at all anymore. I’m fuming.
That’s pathetic. OUATiW still had 3+ Million viewers who DID watch the show. Let your work stand for itself and don’t disrespect some of your most hardcore fans. One of the major reasons it didn’t do well was because ABC chose to air it during the same time frame as the parent show rather than during the winter or summer hiatus. I will still give the season a chance and it could be really fun, but I still don’t get why they’ve chosen to redo characters they’ve already done when there’s so much material they haven’t touched out there. I liked the idea that the OUAT versions of the stories were the “actual” versions of these tales we thought we knew – now apparently they were just 1 of many versions of those characters.

ParticipantI agree though, they cannot have a new Snow, Charming, and Evil Queen. It is one thing for a minor character, but not for those.
I agree with this but I wonder how they go about explaining that in the universe.
Good point. I don’t know how they’re going to do all this.
