saimejoxxersParticipant
I think he was fueled by several factors.
1: I think he is actually trying to change.
2: He IS generally nice to children. I suspect it’s because of Bae.
3: He does seem to like Henry well enough.
BUT these factors, although I think they’re true, aren’t enough for Gold.
I also think that
4: Henry gives him a link to outside realms. If he’s stuck in Storybrooke with essentially no way out, any link to the outside is very helpful.
5: Henry might be able to find out where Hook is for him? If he can communicate/control other realms, surely Henry wouldn’t be adverse to just… asking if Hook is around.
6: Henry is maybe the only person, besides Emma, who can leave Storybrooke. And he’s connected to Emma. So if he can get into their good books, it’s not altogether unselfish. haha.
Any thoughts? Agree/disagree?

Awesome job on all of these! They’re so good! You have some serious talent. 🙂
saimejoxxersParticipantI was one some forums that had a chat room/chat box, and I know I used it much more when it was in the forums. 🙂 Even if I didn’t stay a long time, I would at least pop on really quickly and say hi to whoever was there.
saimejoxxersParticipantI don’t know what the room is about, but did anyone else find the description of the nightmare (especially when coupled with the soundtrack) incredibly terrifying? xD I spent the entire episode going “PLEASE don’t let any other characters share the same nightmare. PLEASE don’t let them have the same nightmare” but I knew they would. xD
I’m wondering if it’s Cora, or if they’re seeing each other, or Rumple… but do you think they might be bringing in something completely different? Like, some Big Bad Evil for the final battle or something extra terrifying from another world or something? I don’t know. I do like the idea, though, of it being communication. That’d be cool. Although, again, kind of terrifying. O_O
I love the inclusion of this, though. I never considered that there might be lasting effects. =/
saimejoxxersParticipantI wonder if this will be significant? Maybe it was just ‘don’t break the set’, but the mining down in the Storybrooke mines did not look very convincing to me at allll. xD It looked like they were either 1: not actually swinging those things very hard 2: it was just super fake looking or 3: that it was for some reason ineffective. ?
I’m wondering if this is foreshadowing that the dwarves will need their proper magic/FTL axes to be able to actually get to the fairy dust. Because I really think they’d be able to make it look at least a LITTLE more realistic, swinging those axes. They seemed to just kind of bounce off the rock without making any difference at all. Does anyone else think this?
saimejoxxersParticipantCould the Red Hand also stand for the province of Ulster in Ireland? xD It’s less related, but that’s the provincial symbol in Belfast.
I actually do agree about the Wheel of Time, though. xD
saimejoxxersParticipantI always thought that Emma had magic because she was kind of the product of the curse, in a way. I thought that because Rumple wrote her into it as a loophole. He put the True Love potion in it, and because she is also a product of True Love, by the same people, this kind of allows her to channel magic in a place where magic never used to be.
October 25, 2012 at 5:01 pm in reply to: Can Rumple win the fight agaisnt Hook when he arrives in SB? #158028saimejoxxersParticipantI think Hook is definitely going to win/manipulate/control Rumple with the dagger– but not ULTIMATELY triumph. I think either directly (controlling him with the dagger now that magic is back, or by threatening/blackmailing others) or indirectly (by forcing Rumple to make morally ambiguous and possible villainous decisions in order to defeat him… fight fire with fire, as it way, and take no prisoners), Rumple is going to be forced to do a lot of things that he will regret. It will likely drive a wedge between him and Belle, and there will be some very serious ramifications. I think it’ll all be okay in the end, but not for a long time. It may even get more complicated if Bae shows up, because he’ll see Rumple being quite nasty (although with good reason, if he’s protecting Belle), and he’ll be disappointed because he’ll think his father hasn’t changed at all. It will set Rumple back quite a bit, I think, and undermine some of the character development he’s been going through now.
I think it’ll be heartbreaking and painful, but rewarding in the end, when they bring it all together and he overcomes adversity and pulls through. Which I think/hope/pray he will. haha.
saimejoxxersParticipantI was thinking it might be blue for a couple reasons.
1: Because magic is different in Storybrooke?
2: To reflect his changing motivations and character. He was motivated by love rather than hate– maybe it showed through in his magic?
3: Or, is it a different TYPE of magic than we’ve seen before. I doubt this one is correct because I think we’ve seen him use ‘the force’ type magic, where he interacts directly and levitates things in the world… so I’m thinking it’s one of the first two, or maybe a combination of both. Thoughts?
saimejoxxersParticipantNonnie: Sorry to disagree, but Regina used Henry Sr.’s heart to enact the curse. It was thrown into the fire and is no more. Unless she has some heart dust kicking around and can rebuild it, which I highly doubt, I think we have seen the last of present-day Henry Sr.
Belle: I’m glad you agree! I think it would be the most heartbreaking way they could possibly go with this story. If Whale is Frankenstein (pretty likely at this point, almost certain xD), we all know the Frankenstein/reanimating the dead thing never really works out too well. I think since the problem would likely be with his replacement heart… and Regina’s specialty happens to be removing hearts…
Well, let the water works begin for the Evil Regals and everyone else with an ounce of sympathy for the woman. xD
Golden: Do you think we’ll ever see Daniel back and not evil/crazy? Do you think she’ll give up after this and try and move on, or do you think she’s going to try and keep him hanging around for the future? I personally think that she’ll realize that it’s not fair to him to keep dragging him around everywhere and poking and prodding and magic-ing and science-ing him, and she’ll come to a really powerful character moment where she decides to let him go in one way or another. Maybe have a funeral or something. Maybe even the beginning to a possible reconciliation with Snow?
