Sci-Fi GirlParticipant
I get that he thought that he needed the crystal to save her, but…
The way I saw the scene, when the room started to shake, for one second he was paralyzed, torn between which to reach for. One hand toward the box, one hand toward the crystal, glancing back and forth, a moment of agony … and then he dove for the crystal.
It’s the same choice he always makes of course. He always regrets it, and deeply, but always a second too late.
He always acquires the power as a way to keep his loved ones. But holding onto the power is always the reason he looses them.

TVLINE | What do you mean by his “goodbye” to Little John, if Robin died on the spot…?
Actually, that’s not correct — it was me coming back [from the Underworld] and seeing Little John. He had been looking after Roland, so it was more of a reunion than a “goodbye.” But again, because Jason Burkart (Little John) is a lovely actor, and I love Raphael Alejandro…. It would have been nice to have those scenes seen by the audience.

Sci-Fi GirlParticipantLooks like they are all at Far Far Away now too. Maybe they were just adjusting the site or something. *shrug*

Sci-Fi GirlParticipantReads a little more like a rip-off of Loki and Thor in the Thor movie, to me. At least the setup.

Sci-Fi GirlParticipantI mean, Hades told Zelena he had been watching her for a while before he introduced himself, right? Could this be when she first caught his eye?

Sci-Fi GirlParticipantHere’s an interesting observation: I don’t see one single gender reference for this “leader”. In fact, the leader is called “the leader” way too many times, in what seems like a conspicuous effort to not say “he” or “she”!
And, why the emphasis on Hades admiring the leader’s fashion sense more than their anger? Could this actually be Zelena? 😮 Was Hades in disguise, or did she just forget all this?

Sci-Fi GirlParticipantHi. I apologize for the painful things I am about to say. 🙁
~
I had an interesting thought.
When I first heard the spoilers about Robin’s death, and some hints about how it would happen, you know what it reminded me of? Something about the randomness, the pain for the sake of pain, the loss because of a magic so unnecessary, but so unavoidable. And the heroes so helpless to do anything about it. And all the lost potential of of all the happiness that could have been, should have been.
Do you know what all that reminded me of??? Sirius Black!!! 😮 😥
~
But now that I have actually seen it, and thought about it, I am thinking something rather different. Because, the way Robin dove in front of Regina to take that blast instead of her: now I am reminded of something else.
I am thinking of when Lilly jumped in front of Harry to save him from the death curse!!! 😮 😮 😮
Amiright??? So, now I am wondering if Robin’s act of sacrifice has created some new magic, all it’s own???
But sadly, no one on this writing staff is JK. Jane Espenson is the best they’ve got, but I’m afraid she’s not enough anymore. 🙁
~
Yeah, like I said, sorry. 😉

Sci-Fi GirlParticipantOther questions: if Hades had this Olympian Crystal that can kill gods AND if Hades can poof himself to other realms (see: 515, The Brothers Jones) why didn’t he poof himself to Olympus and y’know…kill the gods until everyone relented and agreed to let Hades be king of Olympus??
I always thought in a sense that since Zeus was the most powerful God, he could more than likely survive an ambush like that and actually make Hades punishment worse than the first time.
So he decided to just settle for ruling Earth instead? (Or was it just Storybrook?)
Hades just doesn’t seem like much of a ‘settler’ to me.
