Also, where was Hook during all this? What if someone saw two Hooks? Rumple wouldn’t be sloppy enough to take that chance. Was Hook frozen in time somewhere?
And, was that the real Hook outside Granny’s? What about in the library?

The problem though, is there is probably more than one book. Blue mentioned multiple works, and it seems likely that the special book in Oz was by the author as well. Didn’t Glinda say that it told the entire history of Oz, including the future?
But I still think there is some connection to Pinocchio via enchanted wood.
