ParticipantThey clearly weren’t thinking clearly, because that evil creature would’ve grown up to terrorize the kingdom. But whatevs.
This is why I don’t think this is a retcon of the Charming’s characters. They have both made choices based on a very myopic view of the world and DO NOT think about their choices long term. Which is why they are so easily manipulated.

ParticipantSee that actually bothered me because how does the Sorcerer have any influence in our world? He mentioned Walt, but then also “a man who watched shadows on a wall” is very clearly Plato and then there were “playwrights” It actually sounds like every Author was from our world….
I think there are multiple Authors. One for each realm. It just so happens that the Author for the Enchanted Forest decided to influence the outcome of his realm by nudging people along to do what he thought would make a good story.
We know that the Sorcerer at least has some ability in our world because he sent Ingrid to the Land without Magic and gave her the scroll to enter Storybrooke.

ParticipantYes when Snow said, “it’s not a child. It’s a monster” I was pretty floored. I don’t think it’s in line with her character at all.
The last time the Charming’s saw Maleficent she roasted some guards because they were in her way to the Tree of Knowledge. I can totally buy Snow making a huge judgement call on any of her spawn.
This is also after Snow was proved wrong that Regina could be redeemed. Her faith in ‘goodness in all’ has been shaken.
Also, why didn’t Mal seek revenge on these two in the months following them stealing the egg? Why was she just chilling in her castle with a pet unicorn?
Didn’t she already know the Dark Curse was coming? She just had to wait for that to happen.
One thing I didn’t like was the assumption that its ok to transfer evil into a living being because its TOTALLY not really a baby.

– Cruella being so over the top villian-y. She does love a good murder.
– The Charming’s plotline. We see hints of Snow just being completely fed up with Regina after her wedding threat. She begins to think about weapons she can create to defeat her. I think this is a completely different tone from before the Charming’s got married where they were constantly on defense and never on offense.
This episode fed into that mindset. Snow is convinced that they have to ‘do something’ about the problem. In a very Snow-like way, which is not to consider the full ramifications for her actions.
Great new insight into these characters. And as we’ve seen with Regina, parenthood will drive some people to do most anything.
– Cruella and Ursula falling into the vortex. Didn’t see that one coming!
– August’s enthusiasm about The Author. Me thinks he’s been auditioning for the gig in his own August-like way.
Disliked
– The shout out to Walt Disney and not the Brothers Grimm. (purely personal opinion)
– Charming’s lack of empathy. Dude, so screw Regina and this Author you have never met, because something hypothetical might happen? Ugh. Also, the way he yelled at Henry was hard to watch.

ParticipantMy theory is that Zelena visits Rumple in the hospital and shows him she’s not dead and is Marian. I’m sort of think she takes his heart, hence, Heart of Gold, but not 100%.
We see Robin sneaking into the Wizard of Oz shop and talking to Gold in NYC. Now that Mr. Gold has Regina, I think Gold blackmail’s Robin into getting Pan’s cuff to neutralize Zelena. We know Rumple had the cuff on when he died so the cuff should have gone to the Dark One vault with the dagger in the Enchanted Forest.
Later we see Zelena in Storybrooke wearing the cuff and no long posing as Marian. What happens after that? IDK.

ParticipantI think this is fake, Regina is only pretending to betray Henry.
I agree. This is a sneak peek. Regina was at the Charming’s in the last episode to get the page. They probably produced a fake to give to the QoD.

Participant(Also, Jafar, guys….Jafar)
So Sydney Glass is roaming around somewhere in Storybrooke, right? Jafar and Sydney team up together? That would be kind of amazing.
(Don’t think it would happen because both actors are PoC and that could get sticky.)

ParticipantI think its interesting Enchanted Forest Snow automatically says “Oh shes Evil!” I don’t think Storybrooke Snow would jump to such a drastic interpretation. She’s learned the world is not so black and white.
I think because Snow was already worried when she touched the unicorn’s horn, that’s why she saw what she did. While Charming was already optimistic that things were going to be okay, he had a positive vision.
I also liked the fact that Snow and Charming saw Emma at different ages. Charming wanted to think of the child as good, so he saw an infant, who can’t be evil. Snow had her doubts and she saw a teenage Emma.

ParticipantOn the other hand, B&B is a really popular Disney cartoon, and A&E might not want to disappoint fan-girls of the Rumple and Belle pairing. So maybe the writers could find a way to wrap up Rumple’s story without necessarily killing him off, and instead write him as having his curse undone by TLK
This actually reminds me of Beauty and the Beast. Rumple never really dropped the Beast. Maybe Rumple finally losing the Dark Curse could reintroduce that story.
As far as Belle leaving Storybrooke, it would be a shame if they didn’t develop Belle’s character further. I had hopes when they introduced the mystery of her mother and her relationship(?) with Will

ParticipantSeeds of this idea were planted in the 415, first when Killian mentions that he should have plunged the dagger into Rumples chest to Emma and then on board the Jolly Roger with Poseidon when he spoke of finally getting his revenge.
Agreed that they put those moments in 415 for a reason. But they also had Emma say that’d she stab Rumple through the heart as well. So, agreed that we’ll be seeing a new Dark One in some sort of AU style season finale. Just up in the air as to Hook or Emma
I like this idea. Rumple wearing a Killian suit might also show shades of this as well. Colin can certainly play dark. With the Jolly Rodger being back in Storybrooke, that would just open up all types of possibilities.
