ParticipantSo, I suppose we can add the possibility of Jefferson returning somewhere — FTL, SB, or Wonderland to the list:)
If we had known Regina’s father was missing, we could have guessed him as well 😆

ParticipantI will say, that with all the comments about family, at the beginning, I almost felt like Regina and Jefferson were somehow related and estranged. So it would be interesting to know how they knew each other, especially since he told his daughter he didn’t know her, which means he hadn’t seen her for quite some time, but obviously he knew her when they talked in the house and had some sort of history.
I posted this about an hour ago on the forum thread Regina and the Queen of hearts 🙂
The way she told Jefferson he should never have left his daughter, when she left Wonderland with her father seemed to have an accusation to it. Jefferson said his wife was gone because of the magic (I assume hat) that he had. It seemed like he quit practicing whatever magic he had because of this. So perhaps his wife died or got caught somewhere and he inadvertantly had to leave her. The hat apparently has rules on traveling in and out of the worlds. Or perhaps there is some issue of abandonment/ estrangement between he and Regina some other way. Maybe he is her true love’s brother. Who knows where the writers will take us with that.
But yes, I agree there seemed to be more familiarity between them than just acquaintances.

ParticipantMaybe it’s the apple Emma was going to eat but Henry threw away into the street in one of the first episodes.

ParticipantThere have been sci fi series with the idea of ley lines, forces of energy that are intersections between worlds. Stephen Lawhead has a series out with that concept right now. So defintiely possible.

ParticipantWell, in the Alice in Wonderland story eating a bit made you grow big and drinking the potion made Alice shrink small. So several people theorized it wasn’t Henry Sr.’s heart in the box but a miniature Henry Sr. And Regina said the Queen of Hearts held him as collateral against her. I just thought for sure that looked sin=milar to Regina’s heart box vault and being in wonderland and the Queen of Hearts… so I’m having a hard time swallowing a miniature Henry Sr. myself, but I won’t discount it for lack of any other explanation. Although, I have to wonder who fed him and kept him alive? I don’t think a heart ate that piece of mushroom.

ParticipantYes, Emma carried out the theme well, by saying to MM you don’t turn your back on family,… I mean friends… you know what I mean.

ParticipantI think going back to the room of portals/doors makes the most sense. And although he may not be able to get back to the Enchanted Forest, maybe he can enter elsewhere to another world. I guess I am wondering how he got sucked into SB if he was in Wonderland trying to get back to the realm of the Enchanted Forest? I guess I just thought as a FTL character he was automatically included in the curse? But what if the characters from all those worlds/doors are included? Would it be only FTL characters that have been dispatched to other worlds or does the Curse include them all? What was it Jefferson said about them all being strung together and connected?
For that matter, how did Regina get back? Was there an Enchanted Forest door? Because they didn’t enter the room of doors through a door, but from above, didn’t they? Were they whisked back out by a whirlwind to her castle?
Ahh, more questions than answers I’m afraid.

ParticipantI’m with Hjbau, it is all about what gets Mr. Gold the farthest in his plan. I think he knows Emma has power, but notice he is not helping her find out the truth, he is letting her discover it other ways, so he is not eager to have another power player to contend with at this point. I can’t believe he is on Regina’s side at all, knowing the rivalry between them in FTL although they obviously consulted one another. Regina did nothing to help him when he was imprisoned. She is totally about herself and everyone’s unhappiness, which is her victory as I recall from the pilot. Mr. Gold is also about himself and his agenda and whatever it takes to further it to get there. If it is in his best interest he will side with Regina while it suits him or Emma, but it’s all about his best interest. Our problem is that we don’t know exactly what Mr. Gold’s agenda is… we just keep theorizing. Forum writer Phee has written a theory that suggests perhaps Mr. Gold’s agenda is to be free from his curse and all magic. I like that idea, but it’s still just a theory.
