ParticipantI guess I thought they couldn’t go back to FTL. In the pilot when the curse was enacted it was literally being torn apart piece by piece above Snow White, Charming’s and EQ’s heads. We saw there was a remnant of Snow’s glass coffin under SB, but I guess I haven’t thought that breaking the curse would restore FTL, I just thought it would restore the Happy Endings of them finding each other and remembering who they were.

ParticipantI think there is more than Sidney on Regina’s side? Dr. Whale called her about David in Snow Falls, eps 3.
Obviously that nurse in the psych ward at the end of Skin Deep is with her.At this point I would put MM on Emma and Henry’s side.
I think Rumps/Mr. Gold is his own side. I don’t think he is on Emma’s. I think he is on whoever suits him best side and affords him the advantage. Remember how he told Regina in The Thing you Love Most how she should have come to him regarding Emma. He wasn’t on Emma’s side there. He is on Mr. Gold’s side:)
Not sure where I would put Archie or Leroy at this point. We will see about Ruby.

ParticipantHowever, in episode 4, the Price of Gold, the mines are shut down and have been renovated into a jail for Rumpel. So, do the fairies get their magic from the dust? I thought the beginning of last nights’ show said the dust was “the most precious in all the land, this is what powers the world,” the Blue Fairy said. I didn’t hear anything about them getting their magic from fairy dust.
I just posted a similar topic today under the Price of Gold episodeThread https://oncepodcast.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=226
also wondering about a comment regarding the magic wand made in that episode https://oncepodcast.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=225

ParticipantJust re watched Price of Gold, there were a few things that tie in here.
1) Rumpel told Cinderella that the magic wand was pure evil, and that all magic comes with a price. So are fairies playing around with good and evil in their use of magic, trying to use evil for good? Maybe fairies are only supposed to be fairy dust shakers like Tinkerbell, and they have expanded into other magic.
2) The mines are no longer in use and have been converted to a special place to hold Rumpelstiltskin. So is fairy dust no longer needed?
3) The quill used to freeze Rumplestiltskin had a spell put upon it by the blue fairy. No fairy dust involved that we know of.
and 4) Cinderella questions using the quill since she has learned that all magic comes with a price and feels that is what has gotten them into trouble in the first place; to which Thomas replies he is willing to pay the price to save her and the baby. So I am wondering if his disappearance is the price paid for using the magic quill? ( for comments on that topic visit https://oncepodcast.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=226? ) And so if the fairies do help using magic is there a price for it like Rumpel said in this other epsiode? I was assuming fairy magic wasn’t costly in that way, but in fact freely given for helping the people of FTL.

Participant@ hjbau AGREE about Rumpel’s plan
I’m not sure about the good fairy/evil fairy thing. I know some people are saying Malificent was an evil fairy, but in FTL when EQ went to visit she looked more like a witch than a fairy. I mean she could have made herself small when the chandelier wrapped her rather than be captured and held fast, couldn’t she, if she was a fairy?

Participant@ weedith Love those thoughts — the human polygraph
and maybe she can’t see through Sydney because he is a mirror;)
What they are trying to do is create irrefutable evidence that goes against Emma’s instincts and conscience. It will be interesting to see if she figures it out. Maybe that is part of the finale:)

ParticipantSo the 8 of them, or 7 leave. They can always hatch a few more eggs. There were a lot there.

ParticipantI’m sure the fairies didn’t mind helping to get him jailed and powerless since he had assassinated Cinderella’s fairy godmother through a deal with King George, to get the magic wand.
I wondered too about how the nuns would leave SB? Especially since bad things always happen to the people who try to leave. I’m sure Mr. Gold doesn’t care if anything bad happens to them, since he knows who they really are.

ParticipantI also liked granny lighting MM candle. A flicker of hope for the future of MM:) pardon the pun.
I thought when she went to get in her car and saw the paint she decided to walk home rather than drive, I think home was through the crowd. My least favorite moment was the egg hatching. So cheesy. I think I could have handled a stork dropping them off better.
My favorite transition from FTL to SB was from the egg hatching to the egg cracking in the diner as Leroy ate his breakfast. That was so good, I noticed it.
