ParticipantI think Rapunzel looks significantly younger then Hook, but since Hook is this young looking, that has to be like thirty years ago, unless it isn’t a flashback which seems wildly unlikely considering ten years ago, before Lucy was born, Rapunzel’s tower was already destroyed.
Meegan Warner, the actress who playes Rapunzel 2.0, is 26, about 10 years yonger than Colin is. I think a decade is still an acceptable age difference for a romance to happen between Rapunzel and Wish Hook since they’re clearly both adults; it was common in the Middle Ages for men to marry women who were more than 10 years their junior. After all, Belle and Rumple had more than a 20-year age gap! Rapunzel looks way too close in age to Wish Hook to be his kid, so she must be the mother of his daughter. Plus, this is so obviously fan service because for some reason the writers think that we’re all Hook fans who want to see him be Flynn Rider. *eye roll*
It could always be Ivy that is his daughter. Though, why doesn’t Hook know what his daughter looks like? Or what the person he is looking for looks like? There has to be a reason they haven’t shown us what the girl looks like. If it is Ivy though and they are going to “redeem” her and she is possibly going to be in a relationship with Alice, that is all something. Ivy is the character that looks the most like Hook.
I agree with @Rumplesgirl. I think that Anastasia is going to be Wish Hook’s missing daughter. We haven’t seen what she looks like yet. Anastasia is probably the same missing person “Eloise Gardner” whom Rogers is searching for in HH. That is probably the “mystery” that Adam was hinting at in the article. “Hints executive producer Adam Horowitz, ‘A mystery begins to unravel as soon as Hook climbs her iconic tower.’”
Sounds like Hook’s storyline will end up tying into the main storyline of the show then. I know a lot of people have been feeling like it’s disjointed at the moment, but if his daughter ends up going after the Witch who is helping the person who cast the Curse, then it’s all gonna tie together eventually.
Agreed, I think that Hook’s storyline is going to be clearly tied the the central plot because Lady Tremaine is Rapunzel with whom Wish Hook had a child (aka Eloise/Anastasia). It’s just taking too long to get there.

ParticipantI think TLK clearly exists as a trope on OUAT. It’s just that the writers are not consistent because it is inconvenient for them to follow their own established laws of magic. We’ve seen in Skin Deep that the the dark one curse clearly is a curse that can be broken with TLK, but it stopped working when Rumple pulled away because he didn’t want it then. Later, however, Rumple’s dark one curse should have been easily broken by TLK with Belle once he decided that he didn’t want it anymore. Yes, it’s inconsistent, but the writers don’t care because of PLOT reasons. They just want to keep Rumple as the dark one for yet another season because they really don’t know what to do with him.

ParticipantLooking forward to learning more about the rune and the tower and if there is a connection between them
Has anyone looked closely at the rune or come up with any good theories about it? It must have something to do with Rapunzel, Mother Gothel, and Anastasia. Is is part of the resurrection spell to wake up Ana?

ParticipantThat stuff would fit if this guy is Henry’s uncle.
Agreed. I think those guys know each other. Moreover, they’re acting like family.

ParticipantAside from the fact that Henry’s heart should be protected, let’s assume that breaking the curse could somehow mean the death of Henry. But it shouldn’t matter. Snow and Charming have already proven that they could share a heart, so why not Cinderella and Henry? Regina already knows how to find the loophole as she did for Snowing, so assuming that Ella and Henry really love each other, it should work for them, too.

ParticipantHook’s chess piece is a knight, so I’d guess this ep will be his centric?
Probably.

ParticipantIn Hyperion Heights, Jacinda reconnects with an old friend in a last ditch effort to regain custody of Lucy, but her decision to enlist outside help could put a strain on her burgeoning relationship with Henry,
Does anyone think that the person Jacinda will enlist to help her get custody of Lucy will be the man she believes is Lucy’s father? That would certainly create a rift between Jacinda and Henry.

ParticipantI’m guessing they mean against Rumple so it’s a good chunk of time ago, meaning Rapunzel is more likely to be a love interest–rather than a daughter-like many of us have speculated? Yeahhhhh. I’m like 99% sure that Rapunzel is Victoria/Tremaine and Anastasia is their child.
I’m starting to think so, too. It’s a shame that the writers didn’t seem to tell Colin and Gabrielle that important piece of information because based on the way they acted during their first scene together, one wouldn’t believe that they were really more than acquaintances. Lady Tremaine did say “after what you did to me,” but based on the delivery of that line, I thought that was more like being double crossed because Wish Hook is a pirate. He certainly didn’t seem to look at her as the mother of his child whom he really seems to care about as a father. One would think that if Lady Tremaine were Rapunzel and that she were Wish Hook’s baby mama that he would have looked at her differently than he did. I’m pretty sure he just smirked at her without much feeling or concern for her.

ParticipantIsn’t suicide what we’re already dealing with for Rumple’s story this season though?
It depends how they handle Rumple’s death. There’s a young adult novel called Tuck Everlasting. It deals with the idea that living forever is not something to wish for but really a curse. Rumple might not want to kill himself. After all, he still has Gideon and Henry to consider. Rumple just doesn’t want to be immortal since it has become a burden to him. He has already lived for centuries. He might just want to die a natural death. I still don’t get why he just doesn’t go kiss Gideon on the forehead. True love’s kiss should break any curse! It should have with Belle. It makes no sense whatsoever.

ParticipantThis does seem to confirm that, like many have been speculating for awhile, Rapunzel is Wish!Hook’s daughter. The real question is who is Rapunzel *now* (Eloise Gardener, Tremaine, The Witch), who’s the mother, and what happened?
Seeing how young Wish Hook is, it could be a flashback. He and Rapunzel are about the same age, so it looks like Rapunzel could be his baby mama and not his baby.
