ParticipantMother Gothel sounds plausible, especially if we see a new version of Rapunzel. However, she seems too young. Maybe she is the Witch of the East from Oz, as everyone has already suggested.
Also, I know this wouldn’t happen because of a rights issue, but I would love to see THE witch from Narnia as in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe!

ParticipantThe title could be about Rumple finding his own inner beauty or learning to love himself rather than the title being mostly about Belle.

ParticipantIf Gideon can still dreamwalk, then age is really just a desktop theme.
Great point! He could be appearing as Morpheus. Maybe Rumple dreams about his wife and child or has a waking vision.

ParticipantThe book seems to be about a world were all possibilities happen at the same time somehow. I haven’t read it, just a little blurb.
So in other words, there are multiple versions of each story, as Henry said in the sneak peek for 7×1, each one like a parallel universe. So, the book we saw Lucy holding in 6×22 is the story of her mother, Cinderella, whereas the book we’ve seen the last six seasons is the book of her father, Henry and his family. If we conjecture that there are multiple parallel universes, then there could even be a version of the story in which Neal never died and Emma and Neal found their happily even after together. It is similiar to the idea of Robin of Locksley and the Evil Queen getting to live happily ever after in the alternate Wish Realm.

ParticipantMore than one author? It feels like we’ve heard and seen this plot before like in season four when Henry met Issac.

ParticipantIt could mean that, but I think it’s more likely that the writers will insert some random exposition about how Emma’s “dealing with the problem” from Stroybrooke (keeping the residents safe, example) because “she’s confident that Henry can handle things” in Seattle. I actually find it hard to believe that A and E would kill off Emma forever.
If JMo really has no intention of even filming again on the show (as she has made very clear), then I don’t see how Emma could just be offsceen since everyone will keep asking about her return. Would the writers really just leave Emma petrified in stone all season? I don’t see how the writers would get around this issue of Emma’s absence unless she is dead since Henry and Hook would try and free Emma at all costs. Unless JMO secretly filmed a scene in which she is unpetrified from the rock formation beneath the troll bridge to be shown in a future episode, I don’t see how the writers could get around the biggest elephant in the room of why Henry and Hook aren’t doing everything in their power to get Emma back. The only way to avoid the question of when Emma would be freed from her curse is if Emma has died and gone on to the afterlife because she had no unresolved issues left.

ParticipantWhat wouldn’t make any sense whatsoever is Adult Henry calling Hook “Dad” since Henry will always see Neal as his father. Henry firmly wishes he could have better known Neal, whom he frequently called “Dad” even many seasons after Neal died. Henry told Hook he wasn’t his father in season six although Henry does seem to accept Hook as Emma’s husband (not that he had any choice in the matter). Henry always just seemed to tolerate Hook more than like him (if only for Emma’s sake). I just don’t think it’ll happen. Even August and Henry seem closer than Hook and Henry do seeing how August gave his motorbike to Henry and taught him to ride it in the sneak peek for 7×1. Henry and August always shared being authors in common. What exactly do Hook and Henry share in common (other than Emma)?

ParticipantHow does Henry have gas in the FTL though? I guess this is what Colin was referring to? The land without chevron lol
LOL! That is what I was wondering!

ParticipantPeople who say that Henry takes after Hook strike me as super desperate; they’re the same people who are desperately asking if Emma gave birth to Hook’s child. Why are they so intimidated by Henry being Emma’s only child? Because Henry is also Neal’s son, not Hook’s. I don’t care if Emma did marry the pirate. Clearly, Henry’s new leather jacket reminds the audience of Emma’s own leather jacket, but also of Neal’s sienna reddish-brown leather jacket. Henry takes after Neal and Emma, not the goth pirate.

ParticipantVladimir Ruzich is very tall, dark, and very handsome like Colin O’Donoghue is, but I agree that he does have more of a Mr. Gold vibe about him (what with his tailored suit). Also, Gabrielle Anwar certainly has a S1 Mayor Mills look about her. It’s basically a rehash of S1. *Lather, rinse, repeat*
Could he actually be a new version of Rumplestiltskin?
Actually…yeah, now that you say it…that sounds pretty likely
Since my theory was debunked at Comic Con, my new one is that Vladamir Ruzich is playing Dracula. He has the right look, the actor may be Romanian (couldn’t find out from a quick Google search), OUAT hasn’t done vampires yet, and I believe Dracula was in the original draft for Pilot so the character’s been on their radar from day one.
I’m wondering if we have already seen Dracula. The drawing is from Henry’s wall in his room.
Well that drawing is clearly of Bela Lugosi. What episode is that screenshot from?
Probably from 1×2 “The Thing You Love Most” or some other early episode when we saw Henry draw pictures of people from his book of fairytales.
I hadn’t considered Dracula. It would actually be a good villain to introduce. A quick search for Dracula on OUAT yielded this result from an EW Hot Seat from Spring, 2016:
Will Dracula ever come to Once Upon a Time?
KITSIS: Can’t say.
HOROWITZ: I love Dracula, but can’t say.
Based on that reply from A&E, I’d say there is an excellent chance of seeing Dracula in 2017. “Can’t say” is usually code for “probably yes” although it must be taken with a grain of salt because A&E often say they would love to get to something that they just don’t have time for in the show. But I think this reboot would give them their best chance to introduce the characters they always wanted to introduce but never had the time for previously.
