ParticipantSomeone suggested in the chat that Chris Gorham’s character could be a younger version of the Wizard of Oz, similar to the younger version portrayed in Disney’s new Oz: the Great and Powerful.

ParticipantI would not be surprised at all if the Wizard from Oz turns out to be Rumple.
I think you could be right! If Rumple lost his actual powers as a wizard and was transported to Oz, then maybe he now has to fake being a wizard to get home.
Or maybe the Wizard of Oz is actually Chris Gorham’s character.

How many of you think Rumple will be transported to Oz and end up becoming the Wizard?

ParticipantGreat pic of Snow and Emma!
Gorgeous! Is that a new old pic though? It looks like filming for S2 “The Outsider” or “In the Name of the Brother.” Ginny doesn’t look pregnant in it.
OUTLAW QUEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That is a lovely photo of Lana and Sean! 😀

ParticipantI agree. It shouldn’t take saving a parent and a challenge for a kiss to happen. The kiss for me was very unromantic. It was a challenge and almost “I’ll prove you wrong!”
To me, that scene was very similar to S1 E2 when Regina challenged Emma by sending her to jail. Regina said, “you have no idea what I’m capable of.” Later on Emma cut off a limb of Regina apple tree and replied, “Sister, you have no idea what I’m capable of.” Emma is not one to back down from a challenge. Period. In fact, the more someone provokes Emma, the harder she punches back. Now there are going to be a lot of SQ fans who’ll read a romantic subtext into that scene between Emma and Regina, but I mostly just see two strong women who were challenging one another.
Likewise, the CS kiss in S3 E5 was more of a challenge than a romantic moment in my opinion. Sure, Emma went in for the kiss in a major way, but only after Hook insinuated that Emma owed him something in exchange for helping to prolong Charming’s life. She said he couldn’t handle it and did it almost to prove it to him. The way Hook asked Emma what her father’s life meant to her was just a major ick-factor. Even if I didn’t ship SF and had never scene another episode of OUAT, I would have cringed over the way Hook used helping save Charming as leverage to expect some sort of “payment” other than a simple thank you.

ParticipantIf that TV Guide spoiler turns out to be reliable, then it’d certainly be quite interesting for Chris Gorham to be playing Flynn Rider. It’d certainly be fitting, since Flynn is the fake alias for Eugene Fitzherbert, the thief from Disney’s “Tangled,” which is actually quite similar to Neal Cassidy being Baelfire’s alias, who is also a former thief. The only sure thing we know is that Chris is playing someone “very important in the life of Emma Swan,” and so he could be a foster brother, an old friend, or even another love interest. We’ve yet to see how Emma got her flower tattoo on her wrist, which is the same as the flower on her family crest. We’ve also yet to see what set teenage Emma on the path towards thievery in the first place, since by the time she met Neal, she was already committing grand larceny by stealing a car. Perhaps Chris’ character is originally from the same kingdom as the Charmings who somehow ended up in our world like Emma, Baelfire and August did; maybe he is the one who influenced teenage Emma to start stealing things in the first place, and he my have unwittingly influenced Emma to choose the same flower as is on her father’s coat of arms.
