Jacinda’s not gonna keep her job if it catches on fire…

Have I missed something, or do Sabine and her mom also work at the same fast-food joint as Jacinda now? That seems new.

I am convinced that Rumple is awake and up to his old tricks. How? Besides the obvious “dearie” line, Robert Carlyle brought his A game when he switched from Weaver’s cockney accent to Rumple’s more standard British accent.

I strongly suspect that Eloise Gardner is the witch whom Victoria (aka Rapunzel) has locked up in her tower. As far as I can tell, she is the only missing person in the story so far, and we know the winter finale is called The Secret Garden. I think it is going to be the old bait-and-switch kind of reveal in which Victoria Belfry turns out to be Rapunzel, who is really a villain, while Gothel is the misunderstood anti-hero. It is a well-worn trope now on OUAT like when Peter Pan was really the villain and Hook was the anti-hero or in which King Arthur was actually a power-crazed schmuck.

With the information that Eloise Gardner is the name of the missing person for whom Rogers is searching, I strongly suspect that Alice/Tilly is not the daughter of Wish Hook after all and that the chess board was indeed a red herring. Props to @Phee for calling it!

It’s not like they haven’t done it before.

Good point! Let’s not forget the August-is-not-Baelfire period of S1.

While I thought Belle’s death was emotional and well acted, it only serves to further Rumple’s story. Sadly, how she lived is how she died: as a catalyst for Rumple’s story, rather than her own.

How would you feel about the show ending with “Going Home”?

It would have been very bittersweet, but I would have been more than satisfied with that ending.

How would it affect the show’s legacy going forward?

I think the show would have had a better legacy as far as both the critics and the fans go, especially knowing what we know now. It had a real series finale feel to it. It seems like that would have been one of the best ways to conclude the series. It would have avoided so many prolonged ship wars if Emma’s happy ending had been her son, and the writing quality wouldn’t have suffered as much.

I thought it was interesting how scared Victoria seemed to be of Tilly when Tilly showed up in her car. Victoria seemed more afraid then seemed normal, like it had more to do with who Alice was in the Enchanted Forest and maybe some interaction she had with Tremaine in the past. I don’t think that is the first time Tremaine has met Alice.

Makes me wonder if maybe Alice cast the dark curse.

Rogers uncovers a crucial clue in his search for Eloise Gardener

I’d say that Alice/Tilly was indeed a red herring after all since the missing person that Rogers is searching for is presumbably his daughter. Eloise Gardener sounds like a name from the Rapunzel story.

Tiana looking for LOVE, scares me. I thought she was looking for a CAREER or fight for the people.

This! This version of Tiana might start out thinking she needs a man to save her. Hopefully, she’ll soon realize she doesn’t need anyone but herself and her hard work ethic to realize the impossible. She must realize this at some point since she becomes a resistance fighter.

Isn’t that step-sister-in-law? (Presumably, no proof they ever got married yet, by any custom)

Technically, yes, it would be step-sister-in-law, but that seems like it is splitting hairs. Kin is kin, even by marriage. Henry and Cinderella did get married. In 7×1, Lucy declares to Henry, “I’m your daughter, and my mom is your wife and your true love!”
