ParticipantMaybe Jacob is using a powerful spell to control the pen from a distance–almost as if the spell were a computer virus that enabled a hacker to control a desktop remotely.

ParticipantFrom Lily’s review:
And I haven’t even started on the Charmings’ haunting their own baby, Henry’s SLEEP WRITING AND SLEEP ILLUSTRATING, or Rumple’s incredible “love it or leave it” speech to pregnant Belle. There was just soooo much crazy stuff implied or onscreen this episode that I can’t even be mad about it, only razzled and dazzled by the audacity, and the show did not bother trying to excuse, recuse, or defend itself. Every time someone asked a difficult question this week they were quickly silenced. “Zelena how did you get out of Oz?” NOPE. “How does this haunting stuff actually work?” Nopetty-nope bro. “Why is it acceptable to abandon your day-old daughter to accompany 15 other people to save a moody pirate when all you can do is fire arrows?” The Audacity of Nope. It’s exhilarating, how little they care to explain to us.

ParticipantAlong with Henry’s blackouts…is he also drawing the pictures? And coloring them? And writing this all in a fancy font? Guys. I have questions.
“Your questions are pointless.”

ParticipantThey really went out of their way not to name that baby. First, it was because Robin claimed not to know her well enough. Then, Regina and Robin claimed it was because they didn’t want Hades to write her name on a tombstone, thereby entrapping her in the UW. The writing is one the wall: the baby will be called Robin. I had to laugh though when Zelena said “please tell me her name isn’t Marian.”

ParticipantI’m pretty sure Rumple will be the person who Merlin predicted would eventually be able to wield great power without giving into the darkness. Hence, Belle will be able to live with his status as the dark one, provided he only uses his power for good, rather than for evil. With all that being said, however, when I actually pause to consider it, I don’t see how Rumple will be able to prevent the darkness from consuming him. His heart actually turned coal black the last time. What makes him think he’s suddenly capable of not letting the darkness consume him again? What’s to keep the darkness at bay this time–just because he has all the combined power of previous dark ones now? I’d expect that to amplify the darkness, not decrease it. *head desk*

ParticipantI know many are thinking it’s probably going to be Emma’s role as savior to conquer death, but at this stage, I’m leaning more towards it being Regina, who’ll inspire Zelena to give love a chance with Hades, which will free Hades from his curse via TLK and let them go from the UW.

ParticipantIs anyone else bothered by Fictional Kansas? How many fictional lands are there? When it was lands like Wonderland, Oz, and Neverland, it made a lot of sense (those are actual fictional worlds) but Kansas, London–Victorian and Jazz Age–and it’s getting extremely silly.
I’m bothered as well. Adding more pointless worlds ruin the worldbuilding. I never understand why some characters need to have a world of their own.
Yes, and not to mention that Rumple was in search of a certain pair of slippers that coule transport him to A Land Without Magic. Back in “The Doctor”, Rumple hired Jefferson to travel to Oz to get him the slippers; however, the slippers had vanished before Jefferson could acquire them from Zelena on Rumple’s behalf. The implicaiton is that Dorothy had used the slippers to return home to REAL Kansas.

ParticipantI would be seriously surprised if Mulan wasn’t in the anticipated LGBT couple.
Me too. But why doesn’t the press release indicate Mulan also goes to the UW in search of Dorothy? Only Ruby going seems strange. Watch Dorothy be a werewolf, too.

ParticipantAlso…okay having a hard time deciding: who exactly is the LBGT couple here?
There were serious lesbian vibes between Mulan and Ruby in 5×9. Then again, Mulan seems to have chemistry with everyone, regardless of gender.

ParticipantBelle turns to Rumplestiltskin with hope of finding a way to protect their child from Hades. However, they disagree over whether to use dark magic, as Belle forbids Rumplestiltskin from using his powers for evil.
Well, the basically confirms what Merlin said back in 5×7.
Emma: Is it possible for someone to have the darkness, but use it for good, use it to protect people?
Merlin: Emma, don’t let those thoughts tempt you.
Emma: But is it true?
Merlin: Someday perhaps there will be a person who’s worthy to hold that much power and not let it burn through to darken their soul. But if we can wipe out the darkness, we’ll never have to ask that much of anyone.Rumple, rather than Emma, is the person who is worthy to hold so much power and not let it darken him. I do wonder, however, if doing so is going to cost Rumple. Merlin’s line “we’ll never have to ask that much of anyone” sounds a tad ominous.
