I don’t think Laine MacNeil’s youth precludes her from being Ariel. If anything, she best fits the profile in my mind, since Ariel was only 16. She’s got the right color hair, which would satisfy a lot of Disney “purists” who insist on Ariel being a red head. The Little Mermaid doesn’t necessarily have to include the pirate. I actually prefer Ariel be with the traditional Prince Eric. And Once doesn’t have to show Ariel getting married; it could just be a sweet teen romance. Finally, I agree that we may just see a glimpse of Ariel in the finale, and we’ll meet her more in S3.

Unless Baelfire fell through a time-warp and “crossed time and space” as Rumple said he did in “The Return.” If Rumple designed the curse to locate Bae in A Land Without Magic, as it seem Bae came through into our world, then Rumple must’ve expected to find Bae alive and well, despite the significant passage of time in this realm. If that’s the case, then I wonder if Rumple also knew Neal was stuck in perpetual adolescence, not aging, while in NL, on the run, so to speak.

While I’m sure neither Regina nor Snow would die, it might give them more empathy for one another. Maybe, just maybe, this will trigger a thaw and a possible breakthrough in their mother-step-daughter relationship.

Regarding Captain Evil, I was so excited to see it confirmed by Jane Espenson that people can have more than one love on this show, even in FTL. That gives me actual, concrete hope for Regina and Hook, whether or not they’re a couple by S3.

As far as being a kid again…Dylan is talented but MRJ is really great and I think he’d be a very welcome addition to the cast.While I don't think Neal will actually die, he does end up in the same place where Philip's soul was sent (perhaps NL). There are BTS pics of Neal with Mulan, Aurora and Philip, meaning Neal's not actually dead. His soul might just be separated from his body, making him seem dead to everyone. Hence the promo called the finale “devastating” and there were those BTS of Emma and Henry in mourning.
