I’m interested to see how they’re gonna cover this up in regards to Greg Mendel lol…I mean its hard to miss a freakin’ giant 😆

I was wondering about that earlier myself…hope he doesn’t look out the hospital window.

Nurse Ratched is going to have to slip Greg some of her “happy pills” so that Dr. Whale can say the giant was a hallucinatory side-effect.

    Re: Baelfire = Neal
At Comic Con 2011, before the pilot for OUAT even aired, (7.27.2011), Jennifer Morrison gave an interview about Emma’s destiny. Listen to her answer closely starting at 8:08: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RNaXBmsH_cY&feature=player_embedded

Interviewer: “Was it Emma’s destiny to have Henry?”
Jen: “Uhm…I think in a mythology that probably will be revealed, there are things that I know that I will not tell you…*sneaky grin*”… Eddy and Adam, once again, they just blow my mind with the stuff they come up with….They tell us stuff, and I’m like, “No way!”…Just the detail of the mythology that they’ve come up with. I literally sit and talk with them, and I’m like, I feel like they watched the show for 6 years and they’re just telling me about it. You know, how does your brain work in a way where you can kinda connect all this complex mythology without it having happened yet? And they’re just completely inspired to be writing a story like this. You will see what that all means, and who’s Henry’s father, and how that plays into the mythology. It’s all very intentional and very important.”

Who else could possibly fit in there and connect all of this complex mythology except for Baefire?!

    Re: Bealfire = Peter Pan
In 2×6 Tallahassee, there was a line, which could be an important clue to Neal’s identity.
    Starting at 40 seconds: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NorPPJzdDyk

Neal: Maybe it’s time we get a real place.
    Emma: Are you saying…?
Neal: Why not? We’ve been on the road long enough, Baby. It’s time to retire the Bonnie and Clyde act. So, I think it’s time.
    Emma: Together?
    Neal: Don’t you want to?
    Emma: Like where, Neverland?

I believe Emma’s reference to Neverland is more than a throw-away line and is a huge clue to who Neal is. The fact that she’s talking about settling with Neal in a fictional place suggests that is exactly where Baelfire went after Rumple let go of him. He became Peter Pan of Neverland.

On this show, nothing is mentioned flippantly or without significance to storytelling later down the road. Back in the pilot, Emma and Henry had a little dialog that turned out to be a direct foreshadowing of August’s identity.

Emma: Convenient! All right, I’ll play. Who’s he supposed to be?
    Henry: Jiminy Cricket.
Emma: Right, the lying thing. I thought your nose grew a little bit.
    Henry: I’m not Pinocchio!
Emma: Of course you’re not, because that would be ridiculous.

Low and behold, August turned out to be Pinocchio, which many people, including Emma, thought was just too ridiculous to be believable. Well, the only major unaccounted for character still is Baelfire, who could turn out to be someone as iconic as Peter Pan. Just my thoughts. 🙂

I wonder if after the Queen dies, this servent is the one who takes over the mother role for a young Snow until Regina comes into the picture?

I agree that Edith probably steps into a motherly role for young Snow after Eva’s passing. I wonder where Edith went though when Regina came into the picture a few shorts years later.

Yes, I’ll guess that prior to the death of her mother, Snow might have suffered from only child syndrome magnified by pretty princess syndrome. The sudden illness of her mother and subsequent loss of her mother is probably what sets Snow to become less self-absorbed and to become the selfless, loving woman she is now.

First look at actress Lesley Nicol, who plays Edith, an attendant to Queen Eva:

In the picture, it looks like Queen Eva is suddenly taken ill.

    The casting call is,

For episode 2.15, the guest role of Edith is being cast. She’s 50, kind, and serves a wealthy family whose members think of her as one of their own, and to whom she’s very loyal.

Lesley also plays Mrs. Patmore on the British series Downton Abbey.

That scene of Belle going crazy is when Ruby visits. Does Ruby morph into a wolf to convince her magic exists? Or maybe amnesia Belle just is crazy and that’s why Nurse Ratched is there.

The only way Rumple became immortal was through the curse of the dagger…if he is still immortal or immortal again I would think that the curse was reactivated through the bringing of magic to our world. He’s still the Dark One…he’s just been able to make better decisions with Belle’s help imo.

Rumple is still the Dark One in SB, since he said to the wraith, “The dark one summons you,” in 2×1. That being said, however, we’ve heard it repeated that magic is different in SB than it is in the Enchanted Forest. Mr. Gold brought magic derived from true love to SB, which could mean dark magic doesn’t have full sway there. Even as the dark one, Rumple said in 1×16 that true love is the greatest magic. Daniel repeated this same line in 1×18. True love being the greatest magic of all is a major recurring theme in this series. Cora, who taught Regina that love is weakness, learned from Emma, the product of true love, that love is actually strength in 2×9.

So, true love magic seems to be greater than dark magic, and magic derived from true love is what permeates SB. That could be why the dark one curse has less power in SB, why Rumple isn’t greenish-gold in color, and why Mr. Gold still has his limp and needs a cane. The presence of true love magic could’ve already diminished the strength of the dark one curse so significantly that Belle’s true love kiss didn’t have much more to “undo” in terms of Rumpel’s curse in SB.

    Phee wrote:

As for Belle’s true love’s kiss…one of the big mysteries of OUaT for me personally…it’s supposed to be able to break any curse and yet Rumple resisted when she first kissed him…I’m beginning to wonder if the one who is cursed is unwilling to give up their curse that even true loves kiss might not be able to break it. If that were true, Belle kissing him might not matter…either that or he has perfected a way to resist.

That sounds like a reasonable explanation, that one has to be willing to give up the curse for the kiss to work. The other time we saw a kiss not work was with Snowing, when she didn’t remember. The kiss did work when he almost sacrificed his life for her, so it’s fair to say that she was willing to give it up when that happened and they kissed again.

So perhaps Rumple just isn’t willing to let his curse go yet, and no amount of kissing can change that. Only glitch with that is that when he kissed her in the hospital, I got the sense that in that moment, he would have given it all up to bring her back. But it didn’t appear to affect him.

I like the idea that Mr. Gold has to be willing to release his curse before it can be completely removed through true love’s kiss. I don’t think it’s a glitch that when Mr. Gold kissed Belle in the hospital, his curse wasn’t lifted. Rather, I think that kiss didn’t result in a rainbow beam because Belle doesn’t remember who she or Rumple is, and so she can’t love him. So, in order for the dark one curse to be lifted, the stars have to align perfectly such that Mr. Gold has to want to give up his curse and Belle has to fall in love again with him. Voila, rainbows! 🙂
