Here are a couple more photos from 2×2:

I think Henry tries to sneak out of his room when Regina resorts to magic. Yet, based on other spoiler pictures, Regina comes to the window and uses magic to suspend Henry in mid-air, like Cora used to do to Regina as “punishment.”

Oh, I’m so excited for that newest spoiler! First, we get to see more of Red's backstory (ep. 7) and possibly how she met the wizard who gave her the red cloak. Also, get to see what happened to August/Pinocchio. 🙂 I think the clip of MRJ in 2×1 could’ve been a glimpse of what will happen in the future, not necessarily what has already happened. Adam and Eddy might have intentionally put that clip in to keep us guessing about his identity, but that event might not take place sequentially until episode 6 or later. That way, August really could be the sender of the mysterious postcard, now that we know Eion will reprise the role.

I think we’ll get to see Emma meet Captain Hook! Oh, could he become one of Emma’s new suitors about whom Jennifer Morrison hinted recently? Jennifer was very excited we’d meet the pirate in S2.

hjbau wrote: I really do not think that is Whale in either of these pictures. And these are from Ep 2. Maybe it is Regina’s father. Though it doesn’t look like her father at all to me. I think it is just a new character. Maybe he will get killed and Jefferson will get his hat.

The promo isn’t just for episode 2×2; it’s a mash-up of the first five episodes of S2. For example, the promo has scenes of Captain Hook (whom we know we won’t meet until episode 4) and of Lancelot (who first appears in episode 3). That’s why I think David Anders (Dr. Whale) is in the picture stills, taken from episode 5, which is when we finally discover his fairy-tale counterpart. IMO, the man on the left is Dr. Whale’s counterpart, because he has red hair, a doctor’s bag, and is seen with Sebastian Stan (Jefferson), who is also going to be episode 5 (guest star list has been confirmed). By the looks of it, the picture of Regina is also from episode 5, and she seems to be with Dr. Whale, who is wearing that long Victorian gentleman’s coat in the picture and carrying a doctor’s bag. We know from spoilers that Regina has a juicy history with Dr. Whale, and in the synopsis for 2×5, Regina will struggle to learn the “dark arts,” which I think includes trying to bring back Daniel to life. Also, given the bolt of lightening hitting the tent and what appears to be an experiment on a body, it’s 99.99% likely in my mind that Dr. Whale is Dr. Frankenstein.

Emma must not know that her parents believed only one person could go through the wardrobe or that her mother was planning to go through pregnant, but Emma was born early. She probably doesn’t realize that her dad basically died defending her as a baby to send her through safely. All she knows is that her parents sent her through the wardrobe without them, and that little Pinocchio was “supposed to be there” for her, but he wasn’t. She must’ve though her parents were unwilling to accompany her, and that the only companion they sent with her was a little boy who couldn’t handle that type of responsibility.

I agree with what was said above. Snow White took a huge risk of sacrifice just for Emma, and that action will speak volumes more than her words did at their initial reunion. Emma has been the one to sacrifice for love, risking her life to fight the dragon and save Henry in 1×22, and consequently, everyone else. Now, Emma gets to be the recipient of a mother’s sacrificial love, and that is going to have powerful effects on Emma and hopefully begin a healing process.

The last shot of Jiminy and Blue Fairy makes me hope they’ll become a couple. 🙂
Also, Cora’s necklace pendant is heart-shaped, and there is a heart on her book of spells. QoH.

I wouldn’t say Emma’s thinking is “flawed,” per se, since she was speaking emotionally as a child who suffered a great deal, and not necessarily as one who could objectively see the bigger picture yet. She’s going to have to process it, talk it through with Snow, and understand that there really was no better choice. The curse was designed to rip apart Snow White’s happiness, and there’s no way that Regina would have allowed Snow to keep her baby or her husband. Emma would have ended up in a foster home and remained a baby all her life, or she would have been killed by the Evil Queen’s guards back in FTL right before the curse hit.

I agree with Faux Pax’s assessment. Prince Charming was referring to Snow and him as “family” since they were about to be married or already were by that stage. Husbands and wives often refer to each other as family (with or without kids), and they are, by marriage and commitment.

I understood the rule to apply to the hat in general, not just wonderland.
