Participant@ Phee: You’re right; the Sleeping Beauty story is very fitting, since it’s as if everyone is awakening from a long slumber.
Also, it just occurred to me that Prince Phillip being from a less-well-off kingdom sounds familiar and very similar to Prince James’ story with King George.

He is a guest star.

ParticipantI saw this really perplexing and interesting Dr. Whale theory on tumblr: http://phoenixwrites.tumblr.com/post/27221106565/question
Question.
Have we actually met the Duke of the frontlands?See, I thought the Duke was the guy who took Morraine (“She’ll ride with me”) and forced Rumplestiltskin to kiss his boot and was later killed by him. But my younger brother pointed out, ‘why would the Duke be riding around doing stuff his servants and knights would be doing? Did they ever actually call him the Duke?’ and I thought, hm, good point.
And then, during the scene when Rumplestiltskin broke into the castle, my younger brother looked at the tapestries.

Him: What is on that crest? A fish?”
Me: I dunno. A whale?
*pause*

Him: NO WAY.
Me: IMPOSSIBLE.
Us: CAN’T BE. NO WAY. It’s…it’s…yes.
.There is the difficulty of the Duke of the Frontlands being centuries old, but what if he were cursed as a whale (Monstro) by Rumpel to live in an altered state for a long time?! 😮 Just an interesting theory.

ParticipantI think the spoiler lines could be broken. I tried, and they usually work for now. That’s why I suggest posting spoilers in the specially spoiler-allocated folders.
