@ mia: Thanks for posting the behind-the-sceens shots. I’m excited to see Kathryn return (so long as she doesn’t come between David and MM again).

Here is another thread with speculation about the meaning of August’s full name: https://oncepodcast.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=130

@ hujbau and NONNIE: Snow White is only about 12 in this episode, so i doubt you’ll have to worry about her getting entangled in a love triangle with Regina and the stable boy.

@ mia: I think Kathryn/Abigail is going to reappear, too, based on the credits. Where did you come across photos for this episode of Kathryn? I’ve been looking, but haven’t been successful.

I’m also really curious to find out what role King George is going to play in this episode. I’ve been wondering how he fits into the Regina story-line and what connection they may have (step-father perhaps.

Another summary description: “Mary Margaret faces her past as she is prosecuted by District Attorney Albert Spencer for Kathryn’s supposed murder and Emma continues to search for evidence that will prove Mary Margaret’s innocence while the event that caused the Evil Queen to loathe Snow White is revealed along the Queen’s choice between betraying her mother Cora for true love or living a regal but loveless life by betrothing royalty.” http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Once_Upon_a_Time_episodes

@ all_aglow: I like the idea that it was the Mad Hatter who put the key there. He seems crazy and cunning enough to do it. Perhaps he planted the key in the cell, waited for MM to exit, abducted MM outside the sheriff station, and is waiting for Emma to come searching so he can kidnap her, too. Only someone as crazy as the Mad Hatter would be daring enough to abduct law enforcement.

@ Riddlerraven: Rumple said to Grumpy and Snow White, “Love is the most powerful magic of all–the only magic I haven’t been able to bottle. If you can bottle love, you can do anything.”

Although Rumple lied, we know his true motive in collecting the hairs of SW and PC was to make the love potion, and therefore be capable of doing anything (being invincible).

David’s memories are a mixed-bag. On the one hand, there is so much potential for him to remember FTL, and on the other, David is conflicted and therefore bound to confuse his flashbacks with events in SB. I really hope Dr. Hopper can sort out David and give him some professional analysis before David does some really stupid like testify against Mary Margaret in court. (Maybe that fear is what drove Mary Margaret to escape from jail).

I’d forgotten that Rumple told Snow White that Prince Charming wouldn’t even remember who he is. I doubt Rumple meant this about the potion Snow drank to forget Prince Charming, since Prince Charming obviously still remembered SW in FTL. Rumple probably meant it in reference to how Snow White’s hair would be essential to finalizing the dark curse, in which everyone would forget their FTL identities, including David.

I’m really interested to know what’s going to happen next between David and Mary Margaret in SB. Last time, David essentially accused Mary Margaret of wanting to kill Kathryn, although he was going off of hazy memories that he didn’t bother to verify with his psychiatrist. Also, David is having blackouts, which are really his subconscious telling him he is a fairytale character, only he doesn’t know it. Great. My hope is that David will have more flashbacks, and that Archie is going to help him sort these out. David really needs some professional help

Recall how Snow White said she valued actions more than words when it came to love. I’m hoping beyond hope that David is going to remember his days as Prince Charming by the finale and prove to Mary Margaret that he is noble. If he remembers how Prince Charming was willing to die to save Snow’s good heart from darkness, perhaps David will figure out how to save Mary Margaret from her current predicament. If only David could recall what he was looking for during his blackouts in the woods and by the troll bridge. I have a feeling that whatever he was looking for will be the solution to resolving the mystery. Also, we saw in the preview for episode 17 that Mary Margaret not only goes missing, but is tied up. I hope that if Emma can't save her, David will be the one to do so.

August W. Booth is awfully interested in Henry’s book. We’ve already seen him adding pages to it with great care. In episode 17, we saw August prompt Henry to search his book for clues.

Awhile back, people were wondering where Henry got his book from. We know it was from Mary Margaret, but where did she get it? Perhaps August had been to SB before and planted the book in Mary Margaret’s classroom for her to discover it and eventually pass it onto Henry. We have some reason to believe that August has been to SB before based on his conversation in the diner with Emma and Regina’s remark that he looks familiar.

After the scene with August when he advised Henry to look in the book for proof, the next time we see Henry is him sitting outside Emma’s place with a ring of skeleton keys. I think it’s very safe to assume that Henry was inspired from a story he read (perhaps the one added by August). He says:

Henry: I have proof. [holds up skeleton keys] This is how my mom got into your apartment. This is how she framed Miss Blanchard.
Emma: Did you steel these from her office?
Henry: Yeah. The book said they could open up any door.

When Emma discovered that one of Regina’s keys actually fits into Mary Margaret’s lock and opens it, Henry exclaimed, “Now do you believe me?”

Favorite scenes were of Prince Charming and Snow White:

      Prince James: It’s me, Charming!
Snow White: Charming? I’m beginning to see why I drank that potion.

Followed closely by the scene when Charming risked his life to save Snow White and she remembered.

Least favorite scene was of David and Regina. How stupid can a guy be (even if he is brain-injured) to talk to her and not catch her nearly admitting to the crime?

David: [Snow’s] a good person. I know her.
Regina: Maybe you don’t. Maybe you just want to. Everyone has a dark side, David.
David: Sure, but having a dark side and doing something so evil, that’s a different thing. That’s not what she is.
Regina: Perhaps, but I always believe that evil isn’t born, it’s made.
David: With all do respect, Regina, I don’t think you know much about evil.
Regina: [smirks] Well, if she didn’t do it, then who did?

Here is a great theory about why Rumple needed the true love potion: https://oncepodcast.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=359&p=2465#p2465

Also, I think perhaps Rumple knows the future on a limited basis, as King Arthur suggested. Perhaps his foresight is dependent upon the subjective free choices of others (as he’s fond of saying “everyone has a choice.”)
