ParticipantSome more news on what to expect in ep. 16:
The March 18 episode, “Heart of Darkness,” tunnels deep into the animosity between the Queen and Snow White while exploring another recurring theme: Evil is made, not born. “The Evil Queen didn’t start out dark,” says Kitsis. “The question is, what took away the light in her?” But this time, Snow’s at the crossroads of good and evil. “The potion she drank in an earlier episode took away her love for Charming, and now there’s a void in her heart,” Kitsis says. Since she’s plotting revenge against the Queen, it seems darkness has the upper hand.
Meanwhile, back in Storybrooke, David’s estranged wife, Kathryn (Anastasia Griffith), is still missing, and Mary Margaret, David’s proclaimed true love and sometime mistress, is the prime suspect. She’s troubled enough to ask the town’s shady fixer, Mr. Gold (Robert Carlyle), the former Rumplestiltskin, to represent her.

Also, some more news about what’s in store for Prince Charming:
Mary Margaret won’t be the only one behind bars. Lest we forget, Prince Charming ran away from the kingdom, and even though he helped Abigail reunite with her golden lover, King George won’t be so forgiving. “King George takes him, so he’s locked away in fairytale land,” Josh Dallas teases. “He’s going to have to do some fighting to get out.”

Participant@ mia: I agree that it’s unlikely the Huntsman will make an appearance this week, because as you said, he's not in the credits. Still, one can wish. 😀 More likely, it’s gong to be the case that the Huntsman’s wolf will come to Snow White’s aid when she uses her whistle. We’ll see what happens. I’m just hoping that we’ll get to see the Huntsman in a flashback to FTL one day.
“Jamie Dornan, who played the dearly departed Sheriff Graham, may just reappear on the show at some point. Edward Kitsis told E!Online that they are ‘trying to move heaven and earth to hopefully make it happen.’ If the scheduling works out between Once Upon a Time and Dornan, a return is likely. http://www.buddytv.com/articles/once-upon-a-time/once-upon-a-time-spoilers-what-44357.aspx

ParticipantOne thing I keep wondering is how Emma’s arrival made it possible for August to arrive in town. I wonder if he’s ever been to SB, since Regina said he looked familiar to her. Maybe he is from FTL? To me he is the most intriguing character of all so far (except maybe for Rumple). August seems to be working against the queen by causing characters like Emma and now Ruby to question the status quo. Looking forward to Sunday night’s episode!

ParticipantHere is another short description for ep. 18, airing on April 1 (aka April Fool’s Day): “Emma keeps searching for evidence to prove Mary Margaret’s innocence in Kathryn’s murder; the root of the evil queen’s disdain for Snow White is revealed.”
Guest starring in the episode are Anastasia Griffith (Kathryn is back? Or is it Abigail?), Meghan Ory (Ruby), Tony Perez (The Evil Queen’s father Henry), Barbara Hershey (the Evil Queen’s Mother), Giancarlo Esposito (Sidney), Alan Dale (King George), Noah Bean (The Stable Boy), Richard Schiff (King Leopold), and Bailee Madison (Young Snow White).

ParticipantGinnifer Goodwin and OUAT creators, Kitsis and Horowitz talk about what to expect in episode 18 regarding the EQ and her motives:
Those parallels will play heavy into an early April episode, where the audience will finally learn the catalyst of the Evil Queen’s hatred for Snow White, which ultimately lead to the curse. To tease the upcoming reveal, Kitsis asked fans to ponder this: “Why was the Evil Queen so unhappy at their wedding? Why did her very wedding make her so upset?” Adds Horowitz: “True love seems to piss off the Evil Queen, why is that?”
“It’s a real gift to the audience that we’re going to tell that story this season,” Goodwin notes. “It’s a very important piece of the puzzle, and folks will sympathize with the Evil Queen in ways they’re not expecting.”
From a recent interview of Lana Parrilla (Regina) regarding the EQ’s mother and her love for Henry:
As TVGuide.com previously reported, that episode will flash back to a young Evil Queen – and a young Snow White not played by Goodwin – and the Queen’s own mother, Cora (Barbara Hershey). “Cora helps me understand Regina more because the way Regina is with Henry – we see that she loves her son, maybe not in the healthiest way, but she does and that’s very similar to how Cora loves Regina,” says Parrilla, who also teases that we may see more heart-crushing before the season is up. “Cora loves her daughter, but she wants the best for her and she controls and manipulates the situation in the same ways that Regina does with Henry.”
While Parrilla was shy to say whether Regina might ultimately change her mind about the curse, she noted, “There are some concerns and questions around the curse that you’ll see, like, who really made that curse and what was in that curse?”

ParticipantHere is an article with some information regarding Emma Swan and what’s to come for her character this season. It seem like ep. 17 Hat Trick will be a turning point for Emma to possibly start believing in fairy tales. From an interview with Jennifer Morrison (Emma), we learn:
Believing that the curse is real, and that the Storybrooke residents are actually fairy tale characters, means that Emma will have to accept that her new best friend, Mary Margaret, is actually her mother, whose actual identity is also Snow White – both of which the roommates often joke about in passing. “Ultimately, there’s going to be a point where that has to happen,” Morrison says. “I think we’re headed toward those worlds having to be exposed in some way. Emma can’t be skeptical for six years.”
Read more here about how Emma feels about Mr. Gold, the shifting power struggle with Regina, her interaction with the Mad Hatter, her developing relationship with August, and the strain that arresting Mary Margaret will have on Emma. ParticipantI doubt Regina knows about the dagger unless she just doesn’t know where it’s hidden. She would try her best to get ahold of it if she could control Rumple without actually killing him to become the next Dark One.

ParticipantThere is an interview that answers that question: http://www.tvguide.com/News/Once-Upon-Time-Bosses-1044444.aspx
The last we saw of Snow White in the fairytale world, she had erased her own memories. When will you pick up that story again?
Kitsis: [This Sunday's episode] takes place right after the Huntsman released her, so before she's attained all her banditry skills. In fact, there's a scene you'll see, where Red (Meghan Ory) teaches her how to track. Episode 16 [picks] up directly after the episode where she drank the poison."That’s how you know you’ve really got a home. When you leave it, there’s this feeling that you can’t shake. ParticipantActually, according to the producers of the show at Paleyfest, they strongly hinted that they would like the huntsman to make another appearance in FTL.
We haven’t seen the last of Sidney Glass or Sheriff Graham. Not only does the man in the mirror have an arc before season’s end, but the Huntsman, series co-creator Edward Kitsis reminded fans, “is still very much alive in fairy tale world.” http://www.tvline.com/2012/03/once-upon-a-time-spoilers-paleyfest/
He could very well feature in a scene that happened in the past. The huntsman released Snow White in ep. 7 in FTL. This week’s show, episode 15, happens immediately after Snow White is released by the huntsman. Since the FTL events are all flashbacks, the huntsman is still alive there and could feature in such a flashback.

ParticipantI agree, Midnight Dreary, that Regina is unusually obsessed with apples. There is an interview of co-EPs, Kitsis and Horowitz, plus Josh Dallas, about what to expect in the run-up to the season finale: There is an upcoming episode that supports this idea of Mills being linked to milo (“apple”):
But the penultimate episode is a different story. I’ll let you theorize exactly what the title “Apple Red as Blood,” means, but I can tell you that it’s part of a final arc that will focus heavily on the major players rather than standalone stories — like the heart-warming one we saw this week with Grumpy. “Next week is who the big bad wolf is. And then we just take off,” said Kitsis. “You’re gonna find out why the evil queen hates Snow White, what happened to Rumple’s son. You’re gonna find out who the stranger is. You’re gonna find out what happened to Kathryn and her disappearance, and it’s just gonna go crazy now.” Crazy, indeed — especially with Mary Margaret and David, Josh Dallas said.
Mr. Gold will act as Mary Margaret’s lawyer after she becomes implicated in Kathryn’s disappearance (and, possibly, murder, Kitsis teased!), and, says Dallas, “Lots of things go down. [David] feels very responsible,” he says. And it will all lead up to the epic season-ender. “All I can say is I just got the script for episode 21 and it is going to go someplace that the audience will not expect it ever to go,” he said.
