ParticipantAs far as I understand, time in SB is no longer frozen since Emma decided to stay in the town. As a result, the clock that had been formerly stuck at 8:15 PM, started working again. Hence, I think time has resumed as normal. That would mean the citizens of SB have resumed aging normally, including Ashley’s baby, Alexandra.

ParticipantRegina obviously hates Emma (in a similar vein to how Voldemort hated Harry Potter). She abhors the idea of Emma trying to reclaim Henry.
Regina fears the return of Snow White and Prince James’ child based on the exchange between her and Rumple in FTL. Rumple warned Regina (in ep. 2) before the curse was enacted:
Rumple: Nothing can stop the darkness, except, of course, their unborn child. You see, no matter how powerful, all curses can be broken. Their child is the key.
I think Regina already has her suspicions about who Emma is in SB. Mr. Gold toyed with Regina at the end of ep. 2:
Mr. Gold: Perhaps you should have come to me. If Miss Swan is a problem you cannot fix, I’m only to happy to help, for a price, of course.
Regina: I’m not in the business of making deals with you anymore.
Mr. Gold: To which deal are you referring?
Regina: You know what deal.
Mr. Gold: Oh, right yeah. The boy I procured for you. Henry? Did I ever tell you what a lovely name that was? However did you pick it?
Regina: Did you want her to come to town? You wanted all this to happen, didn’t you? Your finding Henry wasn’t an accident, was it?
Mr. Gold: Whatever do you mean?
Regina: Where did you get him? Do you know something?
Mr. Gold: I have no idea what you’re implying
Regina: I think you do. Who is this woman, his mother, this Emma Swan?
Mr. Gold: I would say you think you know exactly who she is.Interestingly, there is a medieval looking tapestry of a white unicorn in Rumple’s estate in FTL (ep. 12). Rumple seems to be very scheming. One instance, he seems to be offering to help Regina “fix her problem” and yet, it seems like he is secretly planning to call upon Emma with the favor she owes him. In ep. 8, Desperate Souls, Rumple does help Emma get elected town sheriff. He seems to be playing Regina and using Emma to do it. He is the one who procured Henry in the first place, in order to attract Emma to SB.

ParticipantEmma does share her mother’s sarcastic wit. I love the banter between Snow and James.
Snow White: You. You found me.
Prince James: Did you ever doubt I would?
Snow White: Truthfully, the glass coffin gave me pause. In a similar vein, Emma has a funny way of putting things.
Emma: Hang on. The evil queen sent a bunch of fairy-tale characters here?
Henry: Yeah, and now they’re trapped.
Emma: Frozen in time, stuck in Storybrooke, Maine. That’s what you’re going with?"That’s how you know you’ve really got a home. When you leave it, there’s this feeling that you can’t shake. You just miss it." Neal Cassidy

ParticipantIt’s quite interesting how much Emma takes after her father, David (aka Prince James). In FTL, Prince James is excellent at finding people, most notably, Snow White. He is very fond of saying to her, “I will always find you.” In SB, Emma, is also very capable of finding people. Before she became town sheriff, she made a living finding people as a bale-bonds person. In a conversation between Mary Margaret and Emma in episode 3, they said:
Mary Margaret: That’s an interesting job, finding people. How did you fall into it?
Emma: Looking for people is just what I’ve done as long as I can remember.
Mary Margaret: What made you start? Your parents? Henry told me that you’re, er, were from a similar situation to his own. Did you ever find them?
Emma: Depends who you ask.Emma is as tough, brave, and resilient in SB as her father, Prince James, was in FTL. Emma will defend Henry in the same way that Prince James defended her as a baby. Emma saved Henry from the mine shaft in episode 5, That Still Small Voice.
I also think that David, Mary Margaret, and Emma will be thrown together a lot more through the mystery of Kathryn’s disappearance. Since Emma will have to investigate both of her parents, it’ll bring them all much closer than we’ve seen thus far. Of course, if Henry has a part in it, he’ll be quick to remind them of how they are family. But also, I think that it’ll take a big reveal for Emma to actually start believing in the truth of the story, hopefully by the end of season one. However, I don’t think Mary Margaret and David will believe until next season.

ParticipantI think it’s interesting that in episode 2, Regina says to her father, Henry Sr:
Regina: But I can’t keep living like this. What Snow did to me, what she took from me. It’s eating me alive, Daddy. Her very existence mocks me. She must be punished.
Henry Sr: But, if the price is a hole that will never be filled, why do it? Stop worrying about Snow White, and start over. We can have a new life.
Regina: What kind of life? All I’ve worked for, all I’ve built will be gone. My power will disappear. They already think I’m nothing. How is it that not enacting the curse would cause Regina’s power to disappear? Her power must be something that she gained, and not something she was born with. It’s still not at all clear what her back story is, except to say that her mother, Cora, may have taught her magic.
Also, I think perhaps Cora could be the miller’s daughter who married the king who desired straw be turned to gold. That means Regina, the baby Rumple was supposed to take, would be royal, as indicated by the quote: “…the series will flash back to show Snow White as a little girl and the Evil Queen as a young princess living with her fairy-tale family before her heart turned bitter cold.” That means Regina was a young princess even before she married Snow White’s father, King Leopold.

ParticipantI posted this on a different thread, but think it’s very relevant to this discussion:
After re-watching episode 2, it turns out the honeycomb under the apple tree on the town emblem may simply refer to the name of the apple tree. Regina says to Emma:“Did you know that the honeycrisp tree is the most hearty and vigorous of all apple trees? It can survive temperatures as low as 40 below and keep growing. It can weather any storm. I have one that I’ve tended to since I was a little girl. And to this day, I’ve yet to taste anything more delicious than the fruit it offers.”
The type of apple tree is called honeycrisp, hence the honey on the emblem. I think that the apple tree is also a metaphor for Regina. When she is speaking about how the tree can weather any storm and freezing temperatures, she is referring to herself. The more I think about the connection between Regina and that apple tree, the more I think her last name, Mills is connected to the Greek word milo for “apple.”
