It’s also important to remember that Emma is supposed to bring back the happy endings and her time travel shenanigans give her the moral need to make amends. Likewise Regina will need a reason to re-open her heart and leaving her bereft of true love with no reason to embrace her true self which has been on display all this past season would be very poor drama.
Let us all remember what Robin said about “things working out when they’re supposed to.” Robin is Regina’s happy ending after all.

storytellerParticipantIn the end Marian was never meant to survive so let’s not discount the possibility that Marian will meet with her fate so that Regina and Rob will fulfill their destiny together.

storytellerParticipantUltimately, hope springs eternal Rob and Regina are soul mates and are meant to be together and we’ve proven Regina is capable of opening her heart and powerful light magic.
In the interim Emma is definitely on Regina’s…well, we know what list. By the way Emma is going to be feeling guilty and will feel the need to heal the wound she’s opened in the family and if Regina falls back into darkness, Emma and Henry will go after her a la Luke going after his father.
For now let the faces turn red and the steam whistles blow

storytellerParticipantI think that given Emma’s magical training arc and the selfish (IMHO Regina-esque) decision making process that she’s been in ever since she came home to Storybrooke, we are going to see Emma take a journey to find belief, hope, faith, love in short all the things that make her magic work. When those elements are in place Emma’s magic will come back and because of the journey she’ll have matured enough as a person to handle the gift responsibly. Emma’s use of magic since coming back to Storybrooke to my mind is reminiscent of Luke Skywalker circa Empire Strikes Back, full of talent but no calm controlled center to focus that potential. I get the feeling that next season will in part be Emma’s trip down the river to meet her Col. Kurtz.
On a side note, I should also point out that the fact that we’ve now seen Regina exhibit the powers of light magic (which by the way I have been saying she had all along) we need not assume that Regina is the more powerful of the two (nor should we neglect the possibility that she and Emma have equivalent power). The situation may be analogous to the way the Force in the Star Wars universe manifests itself more strongly in some individuals than others. Regina may be a Yoda to Emma’s Luke or some other such Jedi or Jedi/Sith combo. What’s clear is that the synergy bet. Emma and Regina will be integral to whatever endgame we’re in for (fingers crossed) a couple of seasons down the pike.

storytellerParticipantI think there are two types of magic at play here. The first is the magic that is an inherited trait that is a gift from parent to child which while inherent must be cultivated and brought to fruition. The second kind of magic is as the result of being cursed with it a la Rumple. Now in Regina and Zelena’s case we still need to know how Cora came to her gift which need not have been turned towards her nefarious ends. My suspicion is that Cora’s mother was a magical being of some sort.

storytellerParticipantWhat could she possibly want with the baby? It has to be PG and nothing too sadistic because of the audience. Are their any myths that deal with stealing babies and give the why? I keep coming back to the whole Angle/Conner thing. I have to think it isn’t that.
Quite a few actually, the most common mythological motif is the child with a special destiny that is spirited away for its safety or to be destroyed. Probably the best known story is that of the Changeling. A fairy child left in the place of a human baby. The changeling assumes the identity of the human child and becomes the source of mischief and mayhem more often than not.

Seems I always get the wise guys.

storytellerParticipantActually what that is, is a statue of Pazuzu, the Assyrian and Babylonian demon king of the wind. The ancients regarded him as the bringer of locusts, storms and drought. The same figurine makes an apperarance in the movie The Exorcist near the beginning of the film during the scenes in Mesopotamia (i.e. Iraq). See Images below:

storytellerParticipantThere are three possibilities that I can foresee based on what little we have so far. I don’t think we are looking at an alternate universe or some other rupture in the space-time continuum.
1) Perhaps it is possible Jennifer is playing a character other than Emma.
2) The boundary bet. the world of SB and the EF is breaking down.
3) Everyone goes back to the EF for some reason.
Side note: Jen’s costume is very similar to the one Lana wore in 2×10 another connection bet. the Regina and Emma may be in the works.

storytellerParticipantIt’s the SB well just real close-up. Wonder if lost courage, brains and heart are the things it’ll bring back this time? Time will tell…
