ParticipantThis will be interesting given what the casting call said.
“…possibly recurring role of a teenage African-American female who comes across as skittish and timid, having had her naturally curious and determined spirit tempered by years of crippling fear. That said, when put to the test, this lass can reach within and summon the strength to be a hero.”
Sounds like a parallel to Regina in some ways doesn’t it (before everything went downhill of course).

ParticipantI was taught Chaucer in the original Middle English, and can muddle my way through Old Norse (like any good Norske man).

ParticipantWe have to be clear that when Regina said she had no regret for the horrors, it was because with out the horrors there would be no Henry in life to do right by and be believed in and have her heart opened if only a crack. We must also remember that letting go of the past is part of her redemptive arc. Her admission can be taken as a sign that she is letting go of the past and if we have a think she has played a part in reuniting Ariel and Eric, Wendy and her brothers and Henry with herself and the rest of the family. Add to that the fact that some SB residents are happy to be out of the Enchanted Forest (i.e. Ruby and Whale and the Dwarf brothers w/ the exception of Grumpy). The reservoir of goodwill and willingness to forgive might just be building on the other side of the scale. The reconciliation will come when the stars align and while they are not in conjunction they are a sight closer together.

ParticipantThe leap of faith is never played out Emma will always need to be taking them. I’m not focused on the ensemble aspect of the story for me ultimately it comes down to the balance of where the symbols fall . And instinctually I feel that Emma’s real leap of faith hasn’t happened yet. Recall that Gold did say that a leap of faith comes when logical reasoning fails you. I also want to make it clear that the bit about Rumple underestimating her refers to him claiming his father was too powerful for Regina to deal with, which is a clear underestimation of Regina on his part. I note that as significant considering the history between the two characters. The fact that Rumple acknowledged Regina’s success as a mother to my mind bears watching given their history but I was impressed that Rumple could make such an admission. Looing forward to how next Sun. shapes up.

ParticipantOdd coinky-dink, two weeks ago Rumple said his father was too powerful for Regina to handle and yet it was Regina who had the ability to break the vines and steal back the heart. A big clue I think that Rumple underestimates her.

ParticipantAdmitting the truth that she has no regrets is a sign of her evolution towards redemption. To paraphrase Malcolm X, she must first become acceptable to herself before she can be acceptable to others. I hesitate to say more till we get a plot synopsis but intuition tells me she’ll retreat back to her house after they get home
