Who said all the portals go to “our world”?
No one- not even I did thank you 🙄 When you listen to the conversation Cora has, she say’s “they are all” not “it is” so there was more than one portal going to our world, as that’s where she’s trying to get to.

I don’t think Snow knew for sure that it would work, she didn’t even know if it still existed. It’s just that they’re desperate, and that’s the one and only portal she ever knew of to get from FTL to our world, so it was their only option to try. But she didn’t actually have any idea how to get it to work, or if it was even possible.
That’s exactly my point tho- they were desperate for months/quite some time looking for a way to save FTL/EF & no one in all that time mentioned recharging any magical devices (not in the pilot nor during all of S1).

And besides that between just finishing the wardrobe and getting Emma through right before the curse hit there’s wasn’t time to even consider the possibility of recharging it again.
That’s not quite true though- They found the tree which was the ‘last of its kind’, BUT had months/time to wait while it was being carved into a wardrobe, knowing only one could go through. They had every waking minute of that time to consider & think about it, to the point that Snow was desperate to avoid having to go through & said out right, she didn’t want to/wasn’t going to go through without Charming right before going into labor!)- Still no mention of recharging magic here either! They also had the possibly oldest, ‘most powerful’ magical being in EF at their disposal as well & in all that time between finding the tree & the curse hitting, they what, conveniently forgot to think about re-charging portals or any powerful magic that entire time?
That is what I’m disappointed about. To me it is just poor writing- it was a major plot/theme for S1, but is degraded in S2, to, oh we could have recharged it – our bad!I’m a rational person- I think it could have worked (it’d be very convenient still, but I would have brought it) if they’d had a single sentence in there from Snow to Emma or even Charming to Henry, Jefferson or Blue etc, saying ‘we thought about/tried to make it happen before having to send you/her through, but failed’ or something along those lines in any of the previous eps to explain it had ‘come up’ but wasn’t possible at that stage-( enter Emma as a catalyst & there you have a working loop hole to that rule). That would have also allowed some of Gep’s selfishness to be explained away too- but it didn’t go down like that 🙁

The way they worded Snow’s line, “if anyone has access to enough magic”, is a big hint at Emma’s ability to tap into any residual magic in the atmosphere.
Which I would buy IF Snow knew about Emma’s ability- remember Snow didn’t SEE Emma touch the hat- she was focused on the wrath at that point & only saw Emma pulled into the hat, then they got captured, tied to horses, Snow knocked out & dumped in a pit with Cora etc, so because we haven’t seen that conversation (of how Emma touched the hat & it worked), we cant assume they have had it or that Snow knows about it yet- so Regina is the only other one so far to know something is different about Emma magicaly & this being the case, it doesn’t fit that context- at least not for me.
I do agree it’s a hint to Emma’s magic, but only for us.I’m not saying I hate the show now- I still love it (although this weeks E05 was a bit of a let down story wise 😉 ), I just think they dropped the ball here is all, they could have worked it in much better, so it fit the story line they themselves have presented thus far, than they did is all.
[adrotate group="5"]surayyaParticipantThey already said Emma will have a number of suitors who will pursue her Personally I like the idea that Hook ‘falls’ for Emma a little (cant see him being her true love, as they’ll probably want Emma to play happy families with Henry’s father etc), but I think it will be fun to see how that works out given he is hell bent of taking Rumple down, ie will he truly fall for Emma & then have to temper/consider his revenge, how that will effect his ‘deal’ with Cora etc
I like the possibilities personally 😉It’d be darn boring & a whole lot harder to move Emma forward as a character emotionally from where she is, if she doesn’t have a few serious ‘adult’ relationships before Henry’s dad comes onto the scene! At least that’s my opinion 😉
surayyaParticipantThis one has been my least favourite of the season so far, which is a shame as I really wanted to like it!- It just didn’t flow nicely for me & the SB stuff was very flat.
Favourite: Emma outing Hook – so glad the writers done it this way & didn’t turn Emma & Snow into gullible fools 😀 Loved Hook tied to the tree for interrogation hehe 😎 😆 Charming & Henry when he was given his ‘stead’- poor Henry when he realised there was a heap more work to being a knight/prince than just riding around with a sword lol 😉
Least Favourite: Pretty much the entire Whale/Daniel/Regina/Rumple/Hatter story line- it was predictable to the extreme (the Rumple using Regina through Hatter & Vic to get her to rip out hearts was a given by the unicorn, as well as Vic faking the ‘transplant’ in order to keep it for himself 🙄 -I guess I’ve just come to expect more this season 😉 ), as well as it felt disconnected from the story in general- like it was done especially to fit with Halloween & other wise didn’t ‘do’ anything for the story in general…I don’t know- maybe it’s because so far this season it seems that EVERYTHING Regina has done, is a direct result of manipulation on Rumples part (personally that’s getting a bit old for me), I think is meant to be setting up the whole Regina was ‘miss guided’ & was/is really a good person without Rumples influence, along side Rumple grooming her to use the curse etc, it’s just getting to the point where that story line is a bit stale now I think, so I do hope they change it up or move it along there 😐

Thanks for the photos, slurpeez.
But really – to me something seems off about their clothing. Maybe I’m just paranoid. Have we ever seen Snow wear black? Or Emma wear that type of jacket?
No? Well, regardless, the imposter theory seems to have spread to different fan sites. Can’t wait to see how it turns out! Kudos to the writers/crew for adding fuel to the fire. 😉 Like Gold said in The Return, “we see what we want to see”.
LOL- I had the EXACT same thought- Emma’s jacket is sooooo not Emma, but is very Hook-ish, Snow’s clothes seem a bit off as well. Also loving the fact the sheriffs badge is back 😉
However I suppose Emma (as doubtful as it seems), could have changed so much she feels the need to shrug of modern clothing for a more FTL theme/ feel in her dress code 😉surayyaParticipant@hjbau wrote:
But they were making a joke when they said it was herbie. It was a joke. A joke is not a statement of fact. They also said Henry’s father was chucky, that creepy doll with a knife that likes to kill people.
Umm i have no idea what interview you read, but the one I read had no mention of chucky & was about tallahassee, they where telling us about the episode & said something like ‘Fans may like to know Emma's car is indeed Herbie‘ … here is a quote from another interview (not the one I’m talking about- that had quotes from H&K- just one pulled at random off of the net) “As previously announced, Mulan will be coming on board and so will Sleeping Beauty (played by Jamie Chung and Sarah Bolger respectively). It looks like Jack (of “and the Beanstalk” fame) will join the cast, and Emma's Volkswagen bug? It's not your average car. Herbie the Love Bug (!!) will fit in somewhere; that will be interesting.”
As you can see no ‘joking’ tones there either …so I’m sticking with what H&K have told the world at large as fact 🙂Yeah, Emma’s bug isn’t Herbie. The executive-producers were most likely just joking, as you said, hjbau. Jennifer Morrison recently clarified this for us, so we can be pretty sure her bug being in the title sequence is just an indicator that 2×6 is Emma’s backstory (the way that the motorcycle in The Return was an indicator for August).
The interview I read & posted way back, happened a month or 2 AFTER comic con & had nothing to do with any title sequences, as stated above- I do remember her yellow bug being parked in a parking lot in the interviews photo.
No other mention was made of anything- it was just a statement made in relation to another Disney classic just like Mickey mouse, Herbieis a nod to the movie- Nothing more, nothing less- it’s no different than all the lost nods either. So while he wont have a role as such, it’s there as a NOD for FANS.surayyaParticipant@hjbau wrote:

Actually the bug IS indeed Herbie- in an interview approx 3weeks H&K outright stated the bug is indeed Herbie 🙂
I remember posting about it in another E6 thread. The interview came out around the same time as the 1st photos of Emma’s bug in Portland. The interview is linked in the post I made 1st on it &/or in 1 of the interview threads on these forums. It isn’t herbie. Why would that be a connection? The only interview i heard where they mention herbie, it was a sarcastic comment where they like laughed and said yeah it’s herbie, but they were joking. It is Emma’s bug. I don’t see any reason why it would have to do with herbie. That doesn’t make sense to me.
Though if Whale is going to be Frankenstein then honestly all bets are off. Though they are never going to say herbie on the show.
At the end of the day H&K have said out right the car is Herbie in an interview about THIS EPISODE (months AFTER the whole mix up in the run up to s2), so if you still want to choose to believe the car isn't Herbie– that’s your call, but it doesn’t change what the creators of the show have already stated in black & white.
It’s no different than those of us who don’t want Si-Fi elements brought into a fantasy show- what we think & feel is ‘right’ for the show, isn’t what H&K as the creators think & feel, nothing we feel will change that, as we aren’t the creators.I doubt they will do an episode on Herbie either- I think they just put it out there as a nod to the movie/character – much like the mickey phone 🙂

This all seems very random. About Emma’s bug, it is not herbie. Just for some reason people thought that and they said it wasn’t herbie, but meant that they were going to show Emma’s back story. Also i was wondering if the mystery man comes into town, since we now know he has been in Emma’s bug, if he will see Henry in it and make the connection. Since they already showed Henry sitting in it thinking about Emma.

This episode should give us a lot of answers / confirm a lot of the theories that are going around so I’m excited for it.
Don’t get me wrong, so am I 🙂 – I’ve been waiting soooo long for them to do this episode & I had no fear of Jennifer being her younger self …until these photos 😐 I’m just hoping it’ll come together in the actual episode & they’ll pull it off, as it’s a darn big ask to get a 33yr old looking like a passable 16/17yr old! Especially without the help of a period type wardrobe & hair style.
