Yeah, see I HATE this theory – 1st he was already a REAL boy in FTL, Not a wooden one when the curse hit (as far as we know & it looks likely he stayed real from the Ep 20 promos), so He’d either be a puppet again if he wasnt saved from the curse (if indeed the curse does undo enchantments- ie Jiminey cricket back into a man), or a real boy still if he was saved from the curse.
If the curse is turning him into wood again, there’s plenty of ways around it, like he could just leave for a few days & then turn up again etc
I mean IF the curse is effecting him in that way after being saved from it, it means it has to be effecting Emma in the same way as well ie she never gets a happy ending & everything & one she loves will be taken away ….. which is a pretty big hole to get round since they’ve outright said she’s not effected by the curse like everyone else in SB 😉

I actually didn’t like the Pinocchio theory either, at first, but that’s largely because it’s not my favorite story. Someone earlier pointed out that they make the fairytales quite a bit more awesome, in general, so even if August is Pinocchio I’m sure we’ll enjoy the story.

I posted this on another thread, but I’ll repost it here too, Jiminy was turned back from a cricket into a man, it seems previous enchantments could be eliminated in SB, sooooo if August is Pinocchio then he must be changing back into a puppet- if he isnt August then Pinno will either be puppet somewhere in SB or is bumping around our world somewhere.

Personally Im really hoping August isn’t Pino- I really dislike that theory, its got so many holes the writers will be having to make some pretty massive circumstances appear outta who knows where to make me believe he could have been totally ‘saved’, yet never went & found Emma inorder to ‘break’ the curse & save his farther/everyone if it is the case.
I also wont ‘like’ August anymore if he is Pino – I hate Pino as a character he’s totally obnoxious & arrogant in the original tales (he really doesn’t need to be pushed into doing bad things- he wants to do bad things!) – Disney ended up totally changing his personalty for his cartoon as even he didnt ‘like’ Pino 😉

I dont know……only because the knife was buried in a very different part of the woods than the Graham/Gold spade scene (very possible he went & dug it up & buried elsewhere I suppose)…… However In the final eps promo, you see Pino??? looking into a big tree (as the camera pulls up & away from ground), then said tree has a part of it blasting out/open & Pino? being thrown off his feet backwards (wide shot).
I think that the tree where Gold was digging looks VERY similar to the blasting open tree- both even have holes/gaps in them & in the pulling up frame of the promo you can see saplings & foliage around the main blasty/hole tree just like the one Gold was digging next to….. Im thinking Gold has ‘planted’ a bunch of stuff he doesnt want others knowing about.

Lol quite aside from it being FTL 😉 Some/many people just know what they are having most well before they are told via ultrasound (if they want to be told)- my mother, 2 of my friends who have children, both knew to their cores they had conceived with-in 12hrs of doing so as well, 1 of them also knew her 1st was a boy – which was confirmed by ultra sound later (her hubby thought he was a girl lol), when i asked her how she could possibly know the gender at like a mth old (Im lil miss science/prove it & I’ll believe it in our group of friends), she said “I just know” … I dont know how to this day, but she has been right with all 4 of her kids!!!!
SW was a good 20+ weeks on considering her baby bump – she also didnt really know until Rumple told her she was having a girl/Emma – he’s magic & has a creepy weird obsession with babies, so I guess he doesnt need an ultra sound lol
& Charming is right we all know Emma’s job is to save them all – BUT did he actually say she will break the curse? – I may have to rewatch the pilot while I wait for The Return 😉

Ummm Im pretty sure most people think the bottles are for the cure???? But maybe Ive got that wrong 😕
Personally I didnt really over think his bottles- he is powerful, has magic & makes deals with people all the time, ergo he probably needed/used bottled magic/essences often as he didnt have access to a fairy wand lmoa 😉
Im of the opinion that the fact he has true love bottled when NO ONE else does is what makes it important/ so special & why we saw it being made – was it to break the curse, was it just for his own personal use, was it to neutralize EQ (she’s his only equal from the actors interviews)? – Who knows for sure, my moneys on either his own use (he doesnt believe anyone could love him) or more likely EQ/Regina neutralization – either of those tho could be considered as ‘for breaking the curse’ I guess, so Ill just wait in see lol 🙂

Ive gone off of the whole speculation thing atm ONLY cause I dont want to fall in love with an idea of who someone is or whats going to happen & then HATE what actually happens on the show lol
Which is why Im tending to stare clear of Rumps threads & Im now staying clear of August threads too (to many OMG!! They better not’s!!! for me lol) 😉

So how about we turn this thread away from Rumps reasons for his curse & get back to Emma or how at least how the curse effects her 🙂

The point I was making is Emma was entirely OUTSIDE of Rumps influence – Yep he said she was the savior & well in FTL could have simply just been driving the events to get to the point he wanted them to get to BUT he had 0 control over Emma & her actions once she left FTL- he would have had NO idea if she would have a good or bad life, IF SW/PC would be able to go with her or not, if she would come back to them, if she would have a child or not etc So my point is he has to have some idea of what is ‘going’ to happen (future events) in order to have stared everyone into the positions he wanted them in.

Your example was made with if person 1 says they are going to hit person 2, then does thats not looking into the future – correct its not BUT if person one says to person 2 that person 3 (who hasnt meet either persons 1 or 2 & has no knowledge of their conversation) will smack them both in 2 days & it happens THAT is different & it is what Rumps did as he had no control over Emma’s actions – in fact no one did & the fact Emma was protected & outside the curse means it could Not have acted on her at all- not until she entered SB at the very least anyway.

Sorry but thats not the same thing – he didnt have SW & PC bring Emma into town on her 28birthday did he, he left that up to fate/his vision/feeling of the future ie. he said it would happen & it did. Robert stated Rumps/Gold ‘woke up’ when he heard the name “Emma”, which indicates he didnt ‘know’ about FTL before that moment- why have anyone send the savior off, if you didnt know for Certain they’d be back & knew you couldnt influence their coming back???, Also I picked up Rumps calling out “I want her name” changing to I “NEED” her name just the once! if he didnt really know what was going to happen why would he NEED her name?-Personally I think we’ll see in the next few eps that Gold isnt as happy as expected in town & so why would he want to stay there & never have a happy ending? He knows more than we currently think he does, its just which cards is he going to play next & how do they fall for Emma, SW/PC, EQ & Henry.
