Yeah @Epona_610, Hook was a little whiny, but I would be too if the person I loved kept ditching me for whatever reason. The poor guy has been dreaming about taco time with Emma for ages and she’s always got something better to do
I found this cute write up. Emma’s facial expression didn;t even register while watching the episode cause I busy watching Killy complain.
<h2>You know one of the best parts of the Captain Swan forest scene was though?</h2> Emma’s face as Hook is calling her out and telling her he’s perceptive and gooooooddddddd Swan give me some credit. Let’s look at that face real quick:
He’s huffing away at her and SHE LOVES IT. She loves her huffy pirate. Because as always, he’s just being completely honest with her about how he feels and what he thinks. And it’s obvious that he isn’t mad, just frustrated. Because he loves her and wants to be with her. He’s fighting to be with her. Even when he’s not 100% sure what he’s fighting against. Even when it’s just some nebulous “something else”. He’s still there, supporting her and staying by her side, and giving her the space she needs to figure stuff out. Even when he’s huffy. And THAT is something Emma Swan has NEVER had: the constant partner. The one that’s there even when you’re frustrating them. The one that calls you out when needed, but only because they want what’s best for you. The one that no matter what, you know will still love you. And Emma’s face shows that she is very aware of this. That she is comfortable with it, and that she appreciates it. That she’s becoming confident in his feelings for her, for them. IT’S JUST SO BEAUTIFUL OK.

Many, many interesting mysteries developing, as any good premiere should create! I have to say I think the Frozen characters are so spot on it is scary. I like Elsa more than I did in the animated version, and I would swear that that IS animated Anna, made into a CGI human! The CGI is improving. But I hope we don’t have too many scenes of Elsa running. (laughing) in that dress she runs funny. Lots of (too many!) things to fit into an hour so everything seemed a bit more rushed than usual. They had many starting points to new adventures to cover for all the characters and they did a pretty good set-up job of where things will be going 🙂 With our main characters they managed to give everyone some air time, with the promise of more to come. Which is all anyone had time for. It’s just good to see them all in action again!! Now, let’s get on with the meat of the stories!

Specifically, Grumpy still gets some of the best lines *Suddenly we were in a meatlocker* Having *liquid eyed* Sydney back is a huge plus, though I am guessing he won’t be around a lot in future episodes. Regina for now IS a hot mess. Clarification, hopefully will come in the next few episodes. She is borderline crazy again. CS with Emma once again, initiating the sweet smooch and it seemed very comfortable. *Be patient* Yeah right, we are all well practiced in that but it gave us an indication that she IS further down the relationship path. In truth the short scenes were about all they could handle with all the Frozen introductions they had to cover. No one got excellent coverage but the mysteries are piling up!
Yeah, things were kind packed in tight this ep- to be expected with so many new characters & storylines to introduce along with having to continue old storylines forward, but they did a darn good job with it IMO- we got a look see at hat every one was up too & agree Emma is further than she was last season in the ‘relationship comfort zone’ 🙂

LOVED all our CS stuff this ep & Regina’s arc looks like it’s going to be AWESOME! Finally we get the answer of who wrote the book- been waiting for that since S1!!!!!!!!! I’m thinking it could be Mickey’s master/sorcerer/?Merlin? from Fantasia…. although I’d always assumed it was the fairies until now

We are supposed to see Emma fight for Hook this season- which I’m on board with 😉 & I dont think TLK for Emma has to wait until last season either- there’s her dealing with having a TL after the kiss & we all know just because you should live happily ever after, doesnt mean you will on Once 😉 As for the Jolly Roger- I’m not worried either way- we saw Hook spend a chunk of time happily “land pirating”, so I dont feel as strongly as I once did about him “needing” to have a ship etc. I’d be o.k if he worked in the white rabbit or something- rum is his second love after all 😉 😛 & We have more of Hook’s back story & his meeting his father in 4B to look forward to as well

Let’s take count here of Killian’s fighting skills. He’s over a hundred years old, survived god only knows how long on Neverland vs the Lost Boys and the shadows. There’s a reason that he’s the only one left on the Jolly Roger afterwards. He’s a survivor. He’s tough. He’s a skilled swordsmen and technically a duel fighter with his hook.
A ton of rocks fall on him up in Anton’s castle. He may have been trapped under them for a bit, but he manages to crawl out and take Emma’s hand meaning that he wasn’t knocked out.
Belle kicks his ass. Twice. She knocks a bookshelf over on him which barely does anything, but then she smashes him right in the face with a beam from the Jolly Roger. He falls straight down into a gully and still gets up to the deck quicker than she does.
Rumplestiltskin straight up whollops his ass on the Jolly Roger. Beats him with his cane. There’s blood everywhere and yet, Killian is conscious. (also worth stating that he was weaponless at this point)
He gets hit by a CAR tumbles over the roof, breaks his ribs and he’s still conscious to try and joke with Emma when she finds him.
All this above, Belle, Rumple and the Car all happen in ONE episode. ONE DAY. He gets his ass beat all over Storybrooke and he’s still conscious in the mud.
Regina shoves him off a cliff and he lands in a pit with Maleficent. Not only does he remain conscious after the fall, he defeats the ethereal form of the villain and climbs back out.
David punches him right in the face and all it does it knock him back a step.
He kicks Blackbeard’s ass up and down the Jolly Roger, defeating one of history’s most fearsome pirates single-handedly.
He takes on a group of Lost Boys with the Nevengers and holds his own, even stating that he was the one who killed Rufio which shows that he’s fought these kids before and not only survived, but killed one. He’s a damn good fighter capable of killing with his sword.
He gets slammed up on a tree by a Shadow in the Dark Hollow and almost has his shadow/soul ripped out, only to be dropped back to the ground facefirst.
He gets flung across a room by the Shadow, lands rough and skids across the floor and can still get back up.
Back in the Enchanted Forest during the missing year, Ariel knocks him to the ground with a surprise attack and he goes down in pain but he just kind of rolls over and looks at her. He’s fine and awake.
While trying to protect Henry, he shoots at least two flying monkeys, hitting on the first shot so his aim with a gun is just as good as his sword play.
Both times that he goes through the time portal and lands, he lands right on his face. And gets right back up.
To cover Emma in Mida’s palace, he takes on at least 5 guards by himself with only his sword and a fake hand. Did I mention damn good swordsmen?
And more that I’m sure I’m missing but this post is getting far too long and I hope I’ve made my point by now.
Now going back to the Enchanted Forest, his fight with Emma where she knocks him out cold with nothing but a compass to the head. After he saved Aurora’s heart from being lost forever too. He’s a damn good swordsmen but if you watch the fight, he’s more dancing around and defensive fighting. He goes down too easy. He threw the fight. He has the magic bean and knows he can revive it, there’s no reason for him to really fight for that portal and he didn’t want to hurt Emma.
This is later confirmed when Killian tells Emma, “I was there when Cora tried to take your heart, I saw the power inside you.” Woooah wait a second Killian, you were supposed to be “knocked out” during that.
