The hate in the OUAT is disgusting. My gosh, I even saw a post on tumblr that people are hating on Ginny because she gained a lot of weight. I’m like, seriously, what do you think happens when a woman get pregnant? They need to gain in order to help the baby grow. Anyone who doesn’t get this needs to pick up a book in biology and re-read that section on female pregnancy.
I try as much as possible to block it all out but yeah, there are some things I simply cannot ignore. I can’t stand the way Jen is treated by the haters whenever she talks pro-CS in interviews and says something negative about Neal, that the haters feel the need to attack her.Sorry but real ‘so-called fans’ would not attack a human being like that for stating their honest opinion about their character and their relationships with other characters. I am seriously disgusted with anyone who participates in that kind of hate against Jen or anyone on the cast.
I’m sick to death of it too. It’s all ridiculous. I really hope baby Neal gets a nickname…

A&E will probably be asked about killing off Neal (it’s inevitable really, it’s the one place where they can’t ignore the question) but I hope the question is asked in a more “what made you decide to kill off Neal? what prompted the decision? Why not revert Neal to Baelfire?” kind of way rather than a “How dare you kill off Neal!” kind of way. I’m fed up of hearing how Once has “jumped the shark” when it is nowhere near close to that point. Yes they made Snow a little bit dumb in 3B and naming the kid Neal was just wrong, as a middle name fine but not as a first name, but still Once is nowhere near to jumping the shark. I’d be interested to know that if the decision to kill off Neal was made between season 2 and 3, why bring Neal back for Neverland only to kill him off again when they had the perfect opportunity to kill off falling through the portal in season 2?

HOROWITZ | It was a storytelling choice but one that was made in the context of the larger story we’re trying to tell. When you’re telling a serialized show, you reach a point where you see the avenue it’s leading you towards and what’s going to happen there. You then have a choice – you can try to resist it and do something that doesn’t feel organic, or you can be true to it, even if it’s painful. And that’s what we did. We leave it to you and the audience to judge how you feel about it, but for us as storytellers, that was where it felt like it had to go. We didn’t want it to be exploitative, we didn’t want it to be about shock, that’s why it wasnt in the promos…. Why did you decide to kill off Neal?
Eddy Kitsis: Well, you know, it was part of the larger story we’ve been trying to tell with all of our characters and the family that is Once Upon a Time.
Adam Horowitz: What we were really telling, when you look at the story of Neal and Emma and his father Rumplestiltskin, is when he was a young boy, he tried to get his dad off magic and out of his evil ways. He always felt his dad was not a hero. And then as we showed you in the winter finale, those two actually came together, and the father actually sacrificed himself for his son. What we liked was the idea of history repeating itself and Neal going down the same path as his father. He was just as obsessive to get to his own family, and then realizing that mistake and having the father repeating the same heroic thing for his son, as his father did for him. That’s the long way of saying it. …….

The only way Once has Jumped the shark is if the fans have jumped their own sharks & decided that Neal was the be all & end all of OUAT, that he is essentially the whole show & everyone & thing revolved around him & him alone. This also applies to some of ‘interpretations’ of SQ of the show & it’s messages- I dont really know how many times it needs to be said (infinite is probably far short of the number required sadly), that Once is an ensemble cast, it is Not a one-man-band show & thats the bottom line.
Hook will probably always get hate from some of the SF and SQ fans because of the fact that he was the one who was chosen by the writers to be the other half of Emma’s present day canon ship instead of Neal or Regina. SQ is never going to happen in the romantic sense because Regina is Emma’s step-grandmother and Snow still considers Regina family.
Sadly I have to agree with you here- haters are going to hate & if months after the fact they are still harping on like cracked records, with the same ridiculous rubbish as ‘reasons & justification’ for their hate, then I doubt anything will change it, like you say- sour grapes because Killy is with Emma & Neal or Regina are not.
I’ll be interested in seeing some Hook and Henry bonding time in season 3.

Henry is the perfect obstacle for CS. He’s not some big bad that can be fought, he’s Emma’s son.
I guess he is if they want to do the same old, same old. But honestly I think Henry isnt some bratty Teen/kid anymore, who’d get in the way of his mother’s possible love/relationship. Henry has only experienced Emma in a happy relationship once, he knows what Neal did to her now & he knows why Emma is very closed off to ‘relationships’ in general. He loved spending time with Killian, asking to be with him over Grumpy or Snowing, now he has all his memories back, has his 2 mothers (both whom have proven without a shadow of a doubt, that he is their TL), I would be sorely disappointed if A&E had Henry drop back into a whiny little kid again…. & I think a good hint that that wont be the case, was Henry ‘looking at a place for Emma to live “close to the water” After he had his memories back, he wants to live with both his Mum’s & both his Mum’s now have boyfriends (sort-of 😉 ), Henry has the “heart of the truest believer,” so innately & wholeheartedly believes in TL & Good winning over evil etc. Plus he’s not blind, I think pretty much everyone in SB knows Killian & Emma ‘have a thing’ for each other 😉

Haha, great minds- this is my concern as well- I will be ‘rabid’ if they ‘cover him up’ in public… my hope is it’ll be too problematic to shoot in Stevenson for 2 mths & keep Colin’s dress under wraps, before the air date.

I think of Hook’s outfit as his uniform or his “armor”. Leather doesn’t get cut through easily in a sword fight. He wore military garb when he was younger so he probably didn’t give much thought wearing the same clothes for hundreds of years, too focused on his goals to care what he wore. I hope he gets to keep the coat. I love his coat. But wear long sleeve shirts (white, black, blue) with waistcoats, like I’ve seen Colin wear. One waistcoat has to be red. Dark blue or black jeans. Rounded toe boots with heavy metal buckles. Keep the jewelry the same, because those could have sentimental value to him like Emma’s. I hope it’s Emma who takes him shopping or just buys him the clothes and asks him to try them out. Yeah, I’ve given this some thought… Totally with you here, I pretty much said the same thing in the CaptainSwan thread lol :p
