I regret asking the question now but when I did the spoiler had *just* come out and it was a really hard one to take and I was a little upset. …Again, thank you for answering and maybe we should just retreat back to our corners. no problem. I thought it was a funny question and wasn’t sure if I should respond but saw hat no one had, so I did. I actually rarely visit this thread. Whatever happens I hope everyone has a successful acting career.

Because you asked, I don’t nor do I know of any CSers that want Neal to die so that CS can happen. I think most CSers feel pretty confident in CS happening and don’t really see Neal as an obstacle. I would prefer that Neal not die and that he gets his happy ending with someone other than Emma. I feel like Neal has had a hard ,I’ve and deserves happiness. I just don’t see it with Emma.
What I find bothersome is how many SF ers want Hook to die or sail off into the sunset never to be seen again, even before this spoiler made its debut. The whole Hook should die like Syndey Carleton has been on this forum for awhile (at least Six months when I started lurking), as well as this idea that Hook happy ending lies in sailing the sea and not with finding true love. That bothers me a lot because Hook had his true love brutally taken from him and has always been portrayed as a sentimental romantic, so I can’t see him having a happy ending without true love. It won’t be fair that Rumple can kill someone’s truelove but Rumple gets to have true love. I also don’t think that Hook has to die to redeem himself. He is no where in the same league as Rumple or Regina on evil deeds –both of whom are both on course to find their happy endings with their true loves, so why should Hook have to make the ultimate sacrifice when none of the others had too. I actually find Hook’s story more tragic than Rumple’s.

I have no interest in speculating on this anymore. It’s exhausting and every person is going to believe something different based on how they interpret the show. But this is my question: how many of you will stop watching if it is your favorite character/second favorite character? (don’t cheat and come back with “but RG!! It won’t be my favorite character!!”) Everyone knows my favorite character is officially out of the running but my second favorite character is getting a lot of “it’s him” and I find myself conflicted. I always imagine I was here for the long haul. And I probably will be. But I will be profoundly disappointed.
if my favorite, Hook, dies, I see myself watching OUAT very sporadically. hook is the reason I became a regular viewer of Once, without him my interest would wane. See the thing is I hate Rumbelle, and find no joy in SF. So having two ships I don’t enjoy watching would mean I would pass on the show.

Yeah it is but it’s a very ship heavy thought. When I came up with my very accurate theory of the finale I kept it here because of that even though it was basically 100% dead on. When you post a theory like that it comes off like you’re rooting for Neal’s death.
I agree. I think that ship focused thoughts/theories should stay in their ship threads. Here’s the thing, every character has fans and one of the fan base is going to be really disappointed. I don’t see a reason to fan any flames of shipping wars or character hate. To be honest, since I think Hook is in for the long haul, I think we should be gracious.
i am not worried. I think working on OUAT is a good thing for actors. Think about it Abigail, Blue, Tink, Red, Graham, Nova, Hatter, Aurora and Mulan got other series and projects since joining Once. The casting department has a great eye for talent.

Adam is getting more hate for something out of his control again by rumbelle fans. Cuz abc is promoting cs and Colin made the buddy tv list but non of the other cast did except emilie aka belle. Abc promoted Colin but not Emilie. Like someone else said, it’s getting less enjoyable shipping cs when the guy that has been giving us these amazing moments r getting hate.Edited: Just look at this

you know I sometimes wonder if a significant % of SF shippers are really mostly Rumbelle fans that resent Hook for his screen time and that he was once verbally mean to pre-Dark Rumple, so they therefore support Neal to Hook’s detriment. For such SF fans, SF means more Stilkin family time. Hook is a threat to that because Emma is the hero of the series, so her romance would get screen time and Hook is the only one unwilling to turn it blind eye to Rumple’s vileness. I know that there are true Neal and SF fans but it seems that some of the Hook and CS hate is fueled by fans that ship Rumbelle primarily and SF By extension.

I have always been against the Hook’s backstory in Good Form. I opposed giving him a brother and outlined my other objections in the episode thread. As for Hook’s obsessive nature and seeming sudden change, I agree that Hook has single minded focus and that has probably helped him survive, but I also think he has been looking to bring more meaning into his life. Unlike Regina or Rumple, Hook hasn’t had anyone until Emma in the season two finale, who is willing to give him a chance to be more than a villain. Even with Emma, she betrayed him at the top of the beanstalk, forcing him to continue to work with Cora. She didn’t give him ad chance to prove himself. Before that Bae rejected his pleas to be a family and his pledge to change for Bae. Bae threw that all into Hook’s face and I understand why. Both Bae’s parents failed him and were unwilling to change for him, so why would he think a pirate of all things would change for him. Bae was probably angry that his mother chose Hook over him. Bottom line for Hook, it left him nothing but his revenge. To me this shows me that Hook was ready to change back then if given a chance. i suspect that Pan kept Hook for moving on as well. I wonder if the nature of Neverland hard been different if Hook would have been able on move on. In addition, I think that hook (again unlike Rumple and Regina) limited the collateral damage of his acts, which to me shows that he was completely blinded by vengeance (cough Regina cough). I don’t hold Hook accountable for Cora’s acts any more than I would hold Belle accountable for eerything Rumple did while they were together. I don’t blame Hook for Tamara and Greg’s acts. Once he knew they were up to, he went to the Charmings to stop them. Just like he turned on Regina when she said she was going to kill everyone in StoryBrooke. He stopped from doing so by teaming with Greg and Tamara.
