I think there are several possibilities:
1. Hook figures out how to get to our land and therefore he goes. He loves Emma and isn’t going to stop trying to get to her.
2. Both Neal and hook come to our land but split up and Hook is the one to find her. Since Henry is Neal’s son, I feel that he has a strong motive to find them. I ship CS but respect Neal’s role as a father. Neal does want to do right by his son.
3. Neal is stuck in the EF for some reason which could be Rumple related or related to the hospital scene or due to blood magic he is the only one that can do something in EF.
4. Hook might be a double agent.
i think it is 1.

December 28, 2013 at 9:25 pm in reply to: 3×05 “Good Form” — FAVORITE AND LEAST FAVORITE MOMENTS #234115sweetgrassParticipantI never posted my thoughts on this episode. casper peeves ate my post.
Anyway, i was dreading this episode. I did not like that Hook was given a brother and that they were naval officers. I thought that storyline made as much sense as Pan being Rumple’s father — meaning it made no sense and weakened the character’s back stories. I still feel this way somewhat bit have learned to live with it.
I thought Colin did a fantastic job playing the earnest young lieutenant Jones. He is a completely different person. Unfortunately, therein, lies the rub. Backstories should help you understand how the character became the character he is today. This backstory doesn’t do that. The move from upstanding, virtuous naval officer to devil may care swashbuckling pirate is not there. At best, Killian would have become a bitter, angry rebel. So how did he become the rum drinking, story telling, devil may care, hedonistic, charismatic although arrogant pirate in Crocodile pre rumple duel. How did Hook become so good sleight of hand and double dealing? This backstory does not fill in any of those blanks. I feel it’s because the writers wanted to give Rumple the Fagin like father even though it made better sense with Hook. Instead we get this rushed story were suddenly Killian and his whole crew become pirates. It defies common sense. It’s too bad because this episode should have had epic sword fights and adventure. the ship flying was cinematographic ally beautiful but the Pegasus sail was a little much.
It’s weird, but typical,of OUAT. The acting really elevated the storyline. As noted earlier , Colin did a great job as the lieutenant. The scenes between the brothers were very good. They were believable as brothers with a deep loving bond. It was heartbreaking to see Liam die and Pan was awful in making Killian believe he was at fault for “goading” his brother, when you know Pan set the whole thing up.
The Pan Hook scenes were fraught with tension, foreboding and danger. Pan was very creepy in his talk with Killian on the climb up. You can tell that Pan took delight in stripping down Hook’s confidence and self -esteem. I wished we got more backstory on what is one of the most iconic rivalries in literature. I am angry about that being completely dropped to give us Rumple’s garden variety daddy issues.
i liked the flirting and kiss between Emma and Hook. I thought it was funny that pan is basically a peeping tom.
i liked how Charming acted when he said his good byes and when he saw Snow again.
There were several good lines: one handed pirate with a drinking pirate, Snow’s “not that I mind”/Emma’s “I do”.

sweetgrassParticipantDoes anyone else remember seeing a bunch of shots of Emma and chris g in front of cab? I seem to recall him taking Emma by both hands and swinging out her hands away from her body, like you would when you see a kid that has grown up and you swing out their hands to get a better look and say “look at you. How you’ve grown/changed”. Doers anyone else remember that picture? I am going with foster brother or guy who helped her get her life together after she was released from prison. They haven’t seen each other in years based on my reading of the picture. I don’t rule out thatch he could be a fairy tale character as well.

sweetgrassParticipantI’m somewhere between Mulan and Hook! Lol
that is such an unlikely combination. I would have thought Hook would have been an Extrovert.

sweetgrassParticipantSweetgrass–Cora explicitly said any child she had would not be Rumples. This was not about Xavier expecting Cora to be untouched but Cora was not going to fulfill her bargain with Rumple because he could only claim a child he fathered by her under the changed deal. If he were the father, she would have to give him the baby and we know that didn’t happen. That’s not to say Mal, & WW could not have been cousins to Regina, give them excuse to bring Rose back as young Cora with three girls playing together in the background or something while she and Rumple spar about something, maybe the Globe she gives him later, that he eventually uses to find Bae. Maybe Cora did something and put the blame on Aurora’s mother, and that’s why Mal cursed her in the first place, then went after Aurora? Anyway, If they do this thing of Mal & Wicked being sister, it would restore some faith for me in the storytelling if they pick up all these dropped things going all the way back to Season 1 with Mal and Regina, who made the curse, S2 about Aurora’s story, the wraith and all this.
KFC I realize Rumple and Cora had a deal. In my post, I speculated that is why Cora sent WWW to Oz so that Rumple could not collect on the deal. Cora doesn’t seem the type to abandon her child. Henry Sr. was completely cowed by her and if she became pregnant I don’t see why she would not have passed off the child as theirs.
Honestly, I think Rumple being related to Oz characters makes way more sense than being related to Pan. I can see Malcolm becoming the wizard, but not becoming Peter Pan. Malcolm and the Wizard of Oz are basically con men and the transformation fir one to the other makes sense. Malcolm and Pan have nothing common at their core. Malcolm was a very desperate man and not particularly clever. Pan is smart in control and clever. It was too big a leap for me to stomach. Sadly, the ship has sailed on that matter.
I think Rumple having a long lost daughter is far more interesting and gives more interest to his relationship with both Regina and Bae. for Regina it sheds new light on Cora and Rumple’s relationship. It also explains rumple’s interest on her. With Bae, it has him face a new sibling and relate to his father as someone who just found out he had a child. At this point, I don’t care who is related to whom because the family tree is already and mess and the Pan reveal botched the tree for me. basically in for a penny in for pound reasoning at this point.
Despite everything I’ve written, I am not wedded to the idea that WW is Rumple’s daughter. It would have been a way better route to take than the Pan father. Like I said earlier I can get behind a Malificent sister storyline.

sweetgrassParticipantI like that idea too HE. As a kid Sleeping Beauty was my favorite. It had the best villain and prince. It’s sad that OUAT hasn’t done better with them.
