I wonder how many takes it took to film that kiss. The editing room must have been going crazy.
I don’t see this as Hook coering Emma. Emma was in complete control the whole time. She choose to initiate the kiss. She chose to end the kiss and even sent Hook away. Hook was completely surprised by her kiss. I don’t see any coercion here.
In the beginning Hook was being his regular cheeky self, which I find funny. I don’t think he wanted Emma to kiss him against her will.
I think that Hook reverted to his flirty self, because he didn’t know how to handle Emma’s gratitude. They both try to keep others out. I don’t think it is a setback to his redemption.
I have mixed feelings about Charming being cured. Since the writers decided to go this route, they should make sure that milk some drama out of it. I would like to see Emma and Snow getting worked up about Charming’s injury.

sweetgrassParticipantI guess I am the only one, but that promo made less excited about the episode. Hopefully, I will be pleasantly surprised by the actual episode.

sweetgrassParticipantIn my line of work as a military historian one gets familiar with military uniforms. In this case I would say our young captain is a junior officer aboard a naval ship. The cut of the uniform is similar to Royal Navy uniforms worn during the Napoleonic era from the late 1790s to 1815. His shoulder boards have three pips with no tassels which has no equiv. in the RN. An educated guess would place him as a junior officer perhaps a lieutenant (although the possibility exists that he is a midshipman i.e. an officer in training apprenticed to an experienced naval officer whose ranks were drawn from the gentry and non-inheriting sons of aristocratic families).
You know I’ve always found it funny that Hook is three hundred years before Snow White’s time. It seems to me that Hook should have happened after Snow White’s time. The naval suit is anachronistic given OUAT timeline.

sweetgrassParticipantAnother parallel, in Straight On Till Morning, Hook offered Bae the opportunity to be a family, to change, everything he had, and in tonight’s episode Rumple did the same. In both cases, Bae said no.

1, Pan/Pied Piper. The kid is great.
2. The Snowing scenes.
3. Regina.
4. Hook telling Charming to tell his family about the wound.
Things that intrigued me:
1. Peter Pan did not have lost boys before Bae’s time. Children only visited him in his dreams. So I am very curious about Rumple and Pan’s relationship.
2. Hook knew about Bae’s cave. This would imply they saw each other after Hook betrayed Bae to the Lost Boys.

3) Bae. I want more interactions between Hook and Bae (both young and adult Bae). I like the idea that Hook tried to rescue Bae. This could be the basis of the traditional enmity between Hook and Pan. I could also see Hook having to use intermediaries like Tink to help Bae to avoid the risk of Bae rejecting his help and to possible mutiny. I’ve wondered if Hook kept tabs on Bae and if that is how Hook knew where to find the Crocodile in NY. I want to know how long young Bae and Hook were together. It can be anything from a week (which I think is a little too short, because Bae had new clothes and Hook had time to gain Bae’s trust) to centuries given how time works in Neverland. Personally, I think the range should be at least 6 months to a few years, but not a century). I would like it to be a year or so to really give the Hook Bae relationship a strong foundation. I could see Hook teaching Bae how to sail, navigate, swordfight, drink Rum, and may be even advise Bae on his first crush — you know all the “manly” things that a pirate would teach a boy becoming a man. forgot about adult bae. I am curious to see how they act around each other and how Rumple will react when he finds out that his cowardice sent his son into the arms of probably the last man he would want his son with. Rumple will flip out if he thinks Hook built a relationship with Bae. Note I didn’t say stole his son.
I really want to learn more about Hook and Bae.
I realized that they are filming episode 10, that makes me concerned that we won’t see the showdown between Hook and Pan. That’s going really chap my hide.

We haven’t delved into it a huge amount at the minute, but you’ll definitely see them meet
I would be rather sad if we didn’t get a PP/Hook face off. This is NL after all
Same here. I would be very sad and angry especially if they gave this confrontation to another character as this is Hook’s fairytale.
slurpeez108 wrote: Because we don’t fully know everything that’s happening and all that kind of stuff and then you go, “Oh, my god! Really?!” Yeah, there’s lot of surprises, which I can’t really go into at the minute. But it’s good. I think it should be a really good episode.
Hmm. Well I don’t think Hook lied in 222 but it sounds like there is a lot more to the story than just “my papa left me”
slurpeez108 wrote: o him giving that to her says, “Look, I’m letting go of all the rubbish. I’m giving you this because I care about him too.” And he says, “I miss him.” So it’s hard, if he has that sort of thing for Emma, while, essentially, Neil has died in their eyes.
Ok. HOW LONG WERE THEY TOGETHER? Is anyone else bothered by this?! I just want to fill in that gap. Like it had to be more than a month. He kept that sword for like 200 years (more actually)
Given the way time works in Neverland, Bae and Hook could have been together from 1 week (min) to centuries. I’ve always posted I thought it was a minimum of 6 months to about few years (not centuries or decades) together. I would be sad for Hook if they had been together over decades because Bae rejected him so thoroughly when Hook had been a better father for a longer period of time to Bae than Rumple. I think that abandonment pushed Hook back into his quest for revenge when Hook was already looking to get past it.

But like Jen and A&E said at NYCC she’s not going to go running into his arms the moment they find out alive at least the romantic running, i can’t see her not giving him a hug. That they have 10-11 yrs worth of abandoment broken heart issues to get through not to mention he was just engaged and whilst engaged kept saying he needed that person and then suddenly i love you seconds after finding out that person isn’t who he thought she was and being shot by her. So with all those issues it may be a little bit before anything romantic in the present happens with them if at all. I thinkg at the moment he’d be closer to getting punched then kissed.
I think that they said that wouldn`t be a happy reunion would be if neal arrives in the kiss moment, and start a discussion with emma and hook, this is the only way that i can see her, thinking in punch and kiss him at the same time. I also think that the kiss will be in the beggining, neal arrives and see, has a discussion with all them and we will start to see hook story, since he feels guilt about Bae. No one asked Adam yet, how will rumple react when he finds out about emma and hook, that reaction will be fun to see.
Rumple’s reaction is the one that has me worried for Hook’s safety. Also if Rumple doesn’t know that Hook has already told Neal about Milah’s cold blooded murder, rumple may want to make sure Hook stays silent.
