All that being said, it was really beautiful and I think Regina’s character goes down as the most successful in OUAT
Completely agree. A fitting end for her.

Literally incredible.

The rewriting of her character in Season 2 was the first major flaw in this show. They rewrote her again in Season 3 and i actually really like the Regina that they write now, but it is inconsistent and her arc is completely unearned. It makes no sense that she would be the queen of anything. Emma is the leader and has always been the leader.
Completely disagree with this. She was the written character on the show and I fail to see the inconsistencies you mention.
Also, do we get any points for still believing the Henry would be his undoing? FINALLY.
thedarkonedearieParticipantYeah, I am glad that it is Rumpel rather then a random. I think having our Rumpel stab fake Rumpel and that breaking the dark one curse and killing Rumpel would be a good enough ending for that story.
I definitely do not want this. Zozo would have done this if he could have….stabbing himself. He needed someone else to kill him. Rumple killing Wish Rumple should not work. And I don’t want the guardian story line to be forgotten like Facilier. I want the guardian to be Henry still.
thedarkonedearieParticipantThe solution cannot be Rumple stabbing himself. Otherwise Zozo would have done it all those years ago. He needed someone else to kill him to rid himself from the dark one powers. It has to be something else and they better land it. If they introduce this silly Wish Realm Rumple and don’t stick the landing to the Belle and Rumple storyline, I’m gonna be pissed. I’m still holding out hope that Henry is the guardian. If that storyline gets pushed aside like Facilier, it will be beyond disappointed.
thedarkonedearieParticipantUhhh so I have very mixed feelings about this. First of all, Facilier got the ax and I really quite enjoyed him. Does this mean the guardian is going to turn out to be nothing……after all that build up?
And with Rumple being the last villain…..ok, that would be great. Except that we already got Wish Realm Regina as a villain. Are we so far into this that we have used up all the villains we can use? I’ve always hoped that the finale of the show would have to deal with Rumple and Emma. Rumple should be the final villain. But then….Emma left…and they had Rumple try and redeem himself to make it back to Belle. Which is all well and good…I enjoy the Belle and Rumple story and am looking forward to its conclusion. But, now, having Wish Realm Rumple be the final villain is the writers trying to have their cake and eat it too. It feels cheap. Rumple battling himself and basically taking center stage for the final episodes here is good! But because it is Wish Realm nonsense, it ruins it a little for me.
thedarkonedearieParticipantMaybe it is going to be that Facilier can take the dagger but only if Rumple proves that he is worthy of not being the dark one any longer, that he has a pure heart? So while Rumple was testing Alice, Facilier was testing Rumple?
I love this theory.
thedarkonedearieParticipantWhat about when Gothel touched the fountain looking thing in her tree nymph world at the end before she went in the portal with her coven sister. They sort of did a weird flashforward thing that made it seem to me like they were suggesting the well from HH was THAT fountain. So, did she create Hyperion Heights with the well being where it all started for in her tree nymph home? Or am I just completely off base here?
I too thought that Facilier and Gothel must have known each other prior and yet they still have not shared any screen time together, and somehow he knows she wants the dagger. I am getting the idea that the line when he said that may get ignored bc it doesn’t seem like she wants his dagger at all. These two villains could have been fun parallels with each other, with him representing humanity and what not but it’s too late for that. I’m sticking to Facilier being the key to Rumple reuniting with Belle. I think the fact that we don’t know if he is truly a good guy or bad guy is kind of intriguing and it makes me really want them to close him out well and not have him be a side show with no importance at all. I love the actor playing him as well. They are still keeping his motives close to the chest. We have to get them at some point right? I refuse to believe we won’t and if we don’t, I riot.
thedarkonedearieParticipantYeah it looks like Facilier is just going to be a guy who pops into other people’s flashbacks and stories but doesn’t get his own. Which again makes me wonder why he was brought in to begin with. Was it simply to fix Henry so when the curse was finally broken it wouldn’t kill him? But then why have him want the dagger? I know you said we may not see him after next episode but call me crazy…..I still think he’s mainly a good guy who will have something to do with Rumple being able to reunite with Belle. He may be the guardian or may not but there’s no way his story won’t have a little closure. I mean they have to tell us why he wants the dagger. And they linked him with Rumple for a reason. They didn’t have to have him want the dagger. I know these writers do random things sometimes but I’m still betting on Facilier being important for Rumple to reunite with Belle. There are too many coincidences.
Anyone else love that Henry and Jacinda’s kiss didn’t break the curse?
I quite enjoyed Alice/Tilly in this episode. I also appreciated that Jacinda wanted to kiss Henry as Jacinda and not as Cinderella. I thought their chemistry was better here than it has been all season.
There were a few things wrong here as others have pointed out but I was definitely entertained throughout. I enjoyed Gothel’s backstory and appreciate them answering why she is called Mother Gothel and why her cursed name is Eloise GARDENER. The whole tree nymph thing was so out there and ridiculous that other than the random butterflies in their hair, I kind of enjoyed it.
So what exactly does Gothel want todo with the Coven? Does she want to wipe out mankind again? How is the curse going to get broken? Anybody think young Henry will have something to do with it?
thedarkonedearieParticipantI liked the ending of LOST too. That’s why I’m saying maybe there is a slight chance they could successfully land this story and this ending.
