This has Merida written all over it. Hope I am wrong.

Best episode in a very very very very very long time. And here I thought Emile de Ravin couldn’t act anymore. Her and Bobby were incredible in that final scene together. All the “Up” feels……good stuff. The montages…the music….Belle falling from the window again. I’m not sure anyone has mentioned this yet either, but I think the idea of the only way to get rid of the dagger and the darkness is for the dark one to find true love and for that true love to die was kinda of dare I say genius. At first I was like…oh god not a magical river…but the dagger came back. Then it was a magical sunset at the Edge of Realms (cool name too by the way) and I was like no no more macguffins for this big thing. Then we realize the truth and it was soooo good. And Belle kept it from him so they could live their life in peace with their son. FINALLY. and WITHOUT MAGIC. I was incredibly impressed with this episode and Alice is also quickly turning into a fun breath of fresh air the series needed. Too little too late but still.
My big question is why Rumple didn’t die at the hands of Alice. It seems at some point Rumple must have known the curse was happening and told Alice she will have to shoot him so he could die…but I still have so many questions. Why is she the “guardian?” How did Rumple know that’s what needed to be done? How does the guardian get picked? Will Alice become the dark one next? I guess not right because Belle died but then shouldn’t have Rumple died when Alice shot him then? He saw Belle briefly but then he woke up. Anybody have more clarity on this?
Ivy is hilarious. Jacinda and Henry are developing a better chemistry level and next week we have the shadow man. I think OUAT is slowly bringing me back into the fold.

I’m mildly more intrigued now. And I thought Cinderella was better and Lucy too. Everything just seemed to be better in this episode. And Regina continues to be perfect.
thedarkonedearieParticipantThey killed him off bc the story line was garbage. Everything we saw last season…the court of owls…the old trainer guy…all was supposed to lead to Rhas Al ghul. And all he wanted was for Bruce to kill him. Laughable. Butch as Solomon Grundy is hilarious…I guess in an entertaining way. What do you guys think Rha’s Al Ghul did to Barbara? Could that have something to do with his expected return to the show?
thedarkonedearieParticipantWow. Just wow. Are they serious?

I am here still bc Regina is actually Regina on the show in Hyperion Heights and her story “is not over yet.” She is the only one I care about still so I will watch to see how the end of her journey plays out.
Sidenote: Dania Ramirez may be the worst actress I have ever seen.
thedarkonedearieParticipantDemon’s Head:
I’m not even sure what I just watched. What on earth was that Anubis thing? And the weird zombie guy? Ra’s Al Ghul is so bland. He reminds me of Theo Galavan. The whole Nygma and Oswald wanting to kill each other thing is getting reallllllllly tiresome. The best scene for me was honestly Jim seeing Barbara again. For me, this was one of the worst episodes of the series. Did not care for it at all.

Liked:
– Henry. The actor I thought did a good job
– Rumple as a crooked cop
– Roni and her bar
– The idea that bad things will happen bc Henry is meddling around in someone else’s story
-Tiana. I will probably like her.
Disliked:
– Lucy. I think the actress is bad.
– Lady Tremaine…idk I’m not into her really.
– Hyperion Heights…..just didn’t have the same quaint town feel that SB had. It just looks like Seattle.
– Lady Tremaine just killing the prince right near all the people at the ball. How did they not see it????
– They need a legit villain in here fast. Lady Tremaine is just not enough. She is a worse version of Regina from season 1.
– Idk how I feel about Alice. I don’t get her motivations so far.
– Cinderella was awful. I thought the actress was quite awful for most of it.
– The names of the characters…..Roni, Jacinda, Weaver? It’s like they aren’t even trying anymore
– They have to develop these characters. Roni, Weaver, Rogers…..They are treating them as new characters so let’s see some new stories. I need new backgrounds and motivations and personalities to get my mind to stop looking at Roni as a cursed Regina.
thedarkonedearieParticipantNothing is really captivating me either so far. I like Barbara. I like how she basically fills the voids of missing DC characters like Harley Quinn and now Talia Al Ghul. Ed is back so that is good. Jim’s sunglasses and the whole miami thing was hilarious. David Mazouz was awesome in this episode. I loved bratty Bruce. The whole auction scene really was great. And I guess Barbara coming back to life makes sense now….if you believe in magical lazarus pits.
thedarkonedearieParticipantI liked the first couple of episodes for the most part. The whole batman turning into batman thing I could do without. It just seems so early for that but they couldn’t think of anything else to do with Bruce. It looks like they are making Barbara a good guy again which I don’t like. I want diabolical Barbara. I wanted Harley Quinn. What the heck happened to that. The whole killing licenses thing is good. I’m intrigued. No Riddler is a bummer at the moment. Tabitha and Selina has been good. Ivy has been horrendous. I thought the scarecrow was ok. Parts of it were cool and was basically a batman begins rip-off when it came to the special effects. But the whole embracing your fear seems way too close to the whole Tetch story line for my liking. The show needs a big bad overarching villain like Tetch last season and I’m not sure who that is right now. Ra’s? Like what is his deal? I’m liking Gotham right now, but I fear it could be drifting a bit.
