Not sure what you mean by time distortion. Rumple was exempt from aging because he became immortal once he became the dark one. To my knowledge, Blue is immortal as well. As for Hook, the premise about Neverland is that one never grows up so that would have stopped him from aging. Everyone else in the Enchanted Forest aged and most likely did in other worlds as well.

Now, Bae could have easily come to the real world at any point of time throughout the past 300 years. While being in Neverland can certain explain him not aging it isn’t the only explanation. Magic can transcend all time. It could have taking him 300 years to arrive here.

I think if you check back throughout all the posts on this thread, including the title post, you’ll find the connection about Hook, Bae and Rumple was mentioned and then discussed. It was just one more clue that supported this theory.

Well, EvilQueen, I think we will just have to agree to disagree. To me their differences from their original selves stand out much more than their similarities. It wasn’t until Emma showed up and started helping them that they started reverted to their real selves.

Here are a couple interviews that do use the word “opposite” just in case you are interested. One is with Josh Dallas and the other is with the actual creators of the show. Kitsis and Horowitz have stated this themselves.

I’m going to have to agree with the creators/writers and actors of the series. They repeatedly made a point of explaining that they were complete opposites of their fairy tale characters.

They also made quite a point of showing us how Archie was under Reggie’s thumb and how much he changed after Emma to town. Post Emma arriving, Archie finally found his conscience again and stood up to Regina.

The creators and writers of the show, along with the actors portraying those characters, would know better than we would. I’ll take them at their word.

Thanks for finding those links Kellyn. 😀

I think Embry would make a wonderful Wizard of Oz. He did star as Frick in the TV series The Witches of Oz. The only problem I have with it is his age. In 2×05, The Doctor, we know that Dorothy was already in Oz and we heard about the Ruby Slippers. That means the Wizard was there too. If Embry is the Wizard, and he came from outside, he would have aged over the last 28 years. We know he was an adult male when he first went to Oz. So that would put him in his early 50’s. Age doesn’t seem to match up as Embry is only 34. Unless, time froze for 28 years in all the other realms as well. The age thing with Bae, Neal and Embry/Barrett make me want to tear my hair out! 😆

Certainly looks like Neal is Bae. I also think that Neal/Bae is too important to only be a lost boy. He’ll either be Peter Pan or he won’t be anyone from Neverland.

I like your theory, and you bring up a lot of good points.

I totally agree with your assessment of the FTL/Storybrooke characters/counterparts.

A lot of them DO exhibit opposite attributes.

Josh Dallas and Ginnifer Goodwin, apparantly agree with you, too….they both stated as much about David/Charming and Snow/MM in seperate interviews 🙂

Have to agree with both of you. It was confirmed numerous times last season that the curse made them opposite to their FTL characters. Many of their characteristics were reversed. Where once there was confidence, now there was uncertainty; where once there was courage, now there was timidity; and where once there was gallantry, now there was fear.

I don’t think it’s Lost related Slurpeez. Gypsy would know best as she’s an expert when it comes to Lost.

While I’m still holding tight to my Bae/Neal/Peter Pan theory, something tells me that Barrett may be Peter Pan. David Barrett is one of the directors for OUAT. Wilson Barrett wrote a 1902 screenplay called The Never Never Land which many feel is where J.M. Barrie got the name Neverland from. Brent Barrett plays Hook, alongside Cathy Rigby in the current production of Peter Pan and another David Barrett wrote a musical version of Peter Pan.

I do paper tole/decoupage (three dimensional pictures). Love the Antoine Peck prints as they are so pretty when done. Birds are always lovely but so much detailed required when doing the feathering. Tiny scissors and so many little cuts. 😮

Does not mean Cora and Eva aren’t related. They could’ve stopped keeping in touch even way before either of the daughters were born.
It’s all very well believing is something but it still doesn’t mean we cannot be right too.

Will you please stop putting words in my mouth. I never said you couldn’t be right. I said that I, you know plain old me, TheGoldenKey, do not believe in the theory. I have a right to voice my opinion without having to repeatedly justify it to you. Seems like you are saying that unless one agrees with a theory, they shouldn’t post.

It’s a discussion board, Opinions will differ. Please accept that fact without taking it personally and repeatedly jumping all over someone for expressing theirs.

You base your theory on Snow White and Rose Red’s story. I don’t agree because Cora is the miller’s daughter (K&H have already confirmed that) and I believe we will finally see the Rumplestiltskin fairy tale. Well, K&H’s version of it anyway. It’s as simple as that. 😀

It’s all down to how we perceive Stable Boy then – it’s been confirmed that it was Cora who spooked Snow White’s horse and she’s probably helped with Snow White’s mom ‘disappearance’. However, none of this implies that Eva and Cora were not related. The fact that Snow didn’t know Regina means absolutely nothing to me. Cora could’ve planned this all along (as she normally does) and hence not introduce her family to Leopold before. From what we see, even Leopold doesn’t know Cora so if Eva and Cora were to be just acquaintances, wouldn’t king know about it? So it looks like Eva hid that fact from the King either way, and if she was such a good person, hiding a secret from a husband would be a pretty big thing. Now, of course we don’t know if it was Cora that Snow’s mom had a connection to, but if we’re assuming it is just that – then it’s not that risky that they could be relatives too. That could explain how Cora knew so much about Leopold and his family.

As for Cora not being evil from the beginning – I know, the writers confirmed that but if they repeated Regina’s story it would be just boring and pretty lazy. I cannot see Cora being a saint either plus you don’t have to be evil to have a competition with your sister, trust me 😉

There is a story of Snow White and Rose Red that has been presented in Henry’s book (it’s not Red Riding Hood story) and we all assumed that it was about Snow and Red – they truly bonded as sisters. What if the story was actually about Eva and Cora, raised in a cottage in the woods? They both took care of a ‘beast’ that turned out to be Rumple and he presented them with a deal? A result of which would be Snow White’s marrying Leopold and Cora being left with nothing, hurt and vengeful?

Of course, these are just speculations and theories but they are just as good as yours so please don’t dismiss it just because you see some facts differently.

I’m fully aware of the story of Snow White and Rose Red. They meet a bear (not a beast), who is really a prince, but was cursed by a dwarf. Long and short, in the end, the dwarf is killed, bear transforms back to a prince, Snow marries the prince and Rose his brother. We see this story, as well as The Golden Bird’s, several times in Henry’s book.

I’m not quite sure why you keep coming at me about this. I merely stated my opinion that I don’t see them being sisters. Are you saying that unless I agree with a theory that I can not express my opinion? Because, it’s certainly starting to look that way.

Kudos to you if you’re right. I’ve been wrong before and will be again but this is a board where everyone’s opinion is welcomed, even if they don’t agree with something.
