Well that’s encouraging news and looking more and more that he will be Dr. Frankie. Here is something interesting that runs along with our theory that he is there to revive Daniel. In the promo pics, where we see Reggie, Jefferson & Dr. Whale going down the stairs, Kiwi posted that those stairs look an awful lot like Reggie’s heart chamber. She thinks that it was originally Cora’s chambers and they were headed down to recover Daniel’s heart.

I can see similarities between Bae & Neal in that both are well traveled and have seen many adventures (aka Magic Trip). Rumple is looking for his lost son whereas Neal was always looking for his lost father. Both abandoned their families.
If in fact MRJ turns out to be Bae, I’ll find it disturbing that they used Neal Cassady as Bae’s pseudonym. Cassady was no hero and I’d hate to see the two associated. In my mind, Bae represents goodness & innocence whereas Neal represents immorality and corruption.

Actually Nonnie, Dr. Whale ending up as Peter Pan wouldn’t surprise me. While Dr. Frankenstein is still my first choice, and I’ve hoped that Bae would end up as Peter (though Jack is looking more likely these days), I’ve also posted about the possibility of him being Peter Pan on another thread, earlier this month. (I’ve copied and pasted it below). It sure goes along with your train of thought Nonnie.
Now I know I’ve been on Dr. Whale being Dr. Frank for quite some time now and have posted tons of stuff about it based on research Gypsy and I have done. I’ve also been theorizing about Bae being Peter Pat since last Feb and have posted about that. Still my top theories and hoping to see them realized, however, here’s the thing about Dr. Whale being Peter Pan. It wouldn’t surprise me as there are lots of clues that can lead one in that direction.
1) Peter was could never be physically touched. The ladies loved Peter (Wendy, Tiger Lllly & Tinkerbell). How ironic that Dr. Whale is the one crazy about the ladies?
2) The Greek God Pan could be quite lecherous. Sound like Dr. Whale? God complex?
3) Peter was always the victor against hook. He also felt misunderstood as no one understood why he didn’t ever want to grow up.
4) Inflated sense of self. Well in the broadway musical, there is a song titled I’ve Gotta Crow. In it, he’s boasting about how wonderful he is.
5) In the movie Finding Neverland, J.M. Barrie says to a young Peter Llewelyn, “Write about your family, write about the talking whale” “What whale?” “The one that is trapped in your imagination and desperate to get out”.
6) He did seem like a young adolescent when asking if nuns date, did he not?
7) Disney is planning on re-releasing Peter Pan and recently did a poll asking people which rock singer best suited Peter Pan. The answer? You guessed it, Sting. (dating video listens to sting).
Have a few more things that sort of tie him in to Peter Pan, but you can see where I’m going with this. While the recent promo certainly points to Dr. Franky (thrilled about that!!!) we know that previous promos did the same thing pointed to August potentially being Bae. Can’t really trust the promo.
Important note though. His parents wanted him to be a Judge and not a Doctor. As for the copyright issues, I don’t think they were lying as there were many factors involved. There were copy rights to the first book Little White Bird, copy rights to the other books, copy rights to the script and copy rights to the musical stage play. The latter will not have public domain, in the US, until 2013. So it all depends on what exactly K&H wished to use from the series of books, scripts & play and whether or not those character portrayals required approval. If that makes any sense.

The way it was mentioned made it sound like it was common knowledge who her parents were, which probably wouldn’t have been the case if she was born centuries ago and has since ducked back into FTL at some point after running away from Hook, who she’d run away with to Neverland. *headdesk*
Love the way you’re thinking here Phee! Milha did look an awful lot like a young Cora. Even if she isn’t Cora, though, would be fan-flipping-tastic if she were, I think the Hook & Milha connection makes it clear that Bae is Peter Pan. I completely agree with you about Neverland being the reason Bae never aged. I figured he may have arrived, in the real world, a few years after Emma & AWB.

Thanks Clockwater 🙂 I think the family dynamics could get very interesting! LOL! I’m also seeing too many connections between Bae’s story and Peter’s.

I believe he did grow up. Peter had the ability to come and go from Neverland. I believe he came, saw Emma and stayed. Similar to what happened with Moria in Hook. I’ve posted about this, on another thread, and won’t get into it here again. However, one thing is standing out crystal clear for me. In the story, Peter gets Wendy so she can be a mother to the Lost Boys. Bae lost his mother and to Hook no less. Makes absolute sense that he tries to replace her. Or he tries to avenge her. There are just too many connections to Bae’s story and Peter Pan’s story.
Man, this season keeps continuing to blow me away!

Wow! You are all so right! Young Bae is adorable! Love what I’m seeing and sure seems like Bae will end up as Peter Pan. Who else, other than Rumple, would have reason to tangle with Hook? Speaking of which, just had to post this clip of the best Hook ever, Cyril Ritchard from the Mary Martin TV version of Broadway’s Peter pan. Enjoy 🙂

I’m still in Frankie’s court, especially after all the work that went into that theory YET I somehow can’t shake off the possibility of Peter Pan. If personalities were reversed in SB then Dr. Whale’s womanizing lecherous ways is the exact opposite of Peter Pan’s lack of interest in the opposite sex. Plus, lets add in the fact that Peter Pan could NEVER be touched by anyone. I’d be happy with either two. If he does end up as Peter, than that would mean Bae is Jack.
