The problem, if you can call it that, is Regina as a character and Lana Parrilla’s great acting. Because the character is so great and Lana is so great, people are getting drawn into the character. And when she is facing hard times, people are going to bash whoever is causing her problems, be it Snow or Henry. Some don’t see things from Snow and Henry’s perspective because Regina is their favourite character and they do not want anyone to stand in the way of her happiness or her ambitions.
And the same now applies to Cora. Because we see her as a good person who is being treated horribly by one of the other good characters, some are going to hate the good characters and have great sympathy for, and perhaps even going along with, the good-person-turned-villain. Simply because the writers have made the villains such complex characters and have somehow not quite done the same with the good guys.
I am not saying sympathetic villians are a bad thing. Please don’t think I do. That’s just my humble thoughts on the matter, guys… 😀

I am not so worried for the furture of Swanfire. Sure, it won’t be an easy ride, and there will be things to overcome.
But this show is full of true love. The moral of the show seems to be that true love will always prevail. You have one true love, and you will always find a way to be together, no matter what. Life is full of trouble and difficulties, but that is not enough to stand in the way of true love. You stay true to each other and have faith in each other. It’s a love and faith that is so strong that nothing can tear it apart. We see it again and again.
So, let’s look at Swanfire. There are loads of clues that Emma and Neal are each other’s true love. First, from the beginning it appears that Neal and Emma play a very important part in each other’s lives when they first meet. We see how they are going to give up their thieving lives and start a proper life together, and they seem deeply devoted and in love with each other.
Emma kept the swan key chain AND the car. It might seem like she is just keeping them because she likes the key chain as necklace and the car is very convenient for her to have. But it does appear that there’s more to it. It seems clear she wears it not only because it’s pretty but because it has more meaning to her. It reminds her of Neal, the man she loved, and likely the only man she ever loved. And the car was their only home, or at least that what’s can be assumed based on what we see as their life together.
Neal kept the dreamcather, a clear sign he still has feelings for Emma. For the past 11 years, he has kept it. So, just like Emma’s key chain, he still has strong feelings for her. Especially if he kept it in front of the window, a place he’d likely look at regularly. It wasn’t just put somewhere out of sight.
And now look at the episode Manhattan. It is clear they are both shocked at seeing each other again. And based on Emma’s reaction, she is not over Neal. She is still torn by her love for him and her hatred at what he did to her. She had previously told Henry a false story about his father, to avoid the pain of the memory and to shield Henry from the truth. And she denies that something good came from their relationship. She is deeply hurt, and the pain has not grown less over the years. And Neal also shows a lot of regret at what he did. It’s clear it’s not at all like: oh well, it’s in the past, let’s move on. No! These two have clearly still love for each other, though there are things in the way.
And let’s not forget that they have a child together! If anything shows true love in a show like Once, this must be it. If a couple like Emma and Neal have a child, they are meant to be. It wouldn’t be right for couple that love each other and have a child not to be together.
So if Swanfire isn’t true love, I don’t know what is. But they will be together, otherwise all this attention to them and their relationship would be for nothing. The writers know what they are doing. They would not set them up as a couple only to have them not be together in the end. It might not be a simple and relatively easy road to true love, but they will get there eventually.
Sorry about the rant, but I have seen some concern about this ship, so I just wanted to present my thoughts on the furture of Swanfire.

Sure, I understand. But I just have my own thoughts on the matter that may be different. 😉

What I don’t like about CaptainSwan is that it clearly is supposed to be a kind of psudo-Elizabeth Swan/Jack Sparrow relationship. It’s just… I don’t want to use the word, but I feel like I have to: dumb. It’s only there to connect to fangirls who’ll just go: OMG! CaptainSwan! Hook is just Sexy…!!!
Sorry for the ranting, but that’s what I feel about it.

Sure, but he could have done some jail-time for something and not need to change his name because of a crime.

I have a feeling Neal uses another name in New York. Doesn’t Emma say: “here’s you boy” when they are looking name sign? If it really said Neal Cassidy, she’d freak out and know(or suspect) it was him before she catches him later.

Of course we’ll only see him through flash-backs. It would make no sense at all to bring him back to life in Storybrooke, and it would undermine his death so bad I’d call it bad writing.

I prefer Colin by far. Jaime doesn’t have the same charisma and is not very memorable to me. He’s a good enough actor, but nothing about him really stands out.
But I still don’t like what they have done with Hook. He’s supposed to be older. That is the point of the Peter Pan story. But I supposed they were not allowed to use too much of that story, so I’m fine with it. And DON”T get me started on the whole “Captain Swan” thing. That just really did it for me, and I cannot stand it.

I never bought into “Rumple is Regina’s real father” until now. Now I actually could see it happen.
