It feels like the Sorcerer would be too important and powerful of a character to be killed off, in my opinion. I think something has happened to him. But I don’t think he’s dead. Maybe he is with Nimue somewhere at the bottom of a lake. Maybe Emma has him imprisoned in the SB asylum or whatever it is. But there is no way in my head he is dead. None. No way.
UNLESS…… If the darkness is Nimue…and she is the one who merlin loved (and vice versa)…and Nimue is inside Emma….maybe Emma used Merlin’s heart to cast the dark curse that brought everyone back. Assuming it was the dark curse. Idk.

I mean, she had no idea that Regina’s tears wouldn’t work. Why did she plan for it in advance? I would have understood if after taking the tear, the darkness rump showed up and told her it won’t work because such and such reason and then she decided that has to the violet heart thing and then during the ritual she “accidently” drops the bottle containing Regina’s tear and then Henry just so happens to show up at that point, wherein she takes his tear and sets merlin free.
It’s just all to convenient that this happened the way it did.

And how did she get into the office?
I briefly thought Rumpel was telling her to go steal some things to do some kind of a spell or something but he apparently knew nothing about what was occurring so….. idk. Maybe Emma’s order on her heart led her to do it. She has to force this man to be brave by amgical compulsion…maybe it just enlighted her on where to go and what to do.
Example: In Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince when harry drank the luck potion to help him get a memory from slughorn, it just made him feel like he should go see hagrid which in turn led to harry getting what he wanted (a memory from Slughorn). Maybe it was like that. The order was teach him to be brave and in order to do that, she had to give him a reason to, so the magic pushed her in the direction of the book, which led her to the cup, which led her to fulfilling her order.

Now before everyone throws puppies at me, Emma has a job to do. She has to free merlin to free herself and her family. If not, she will be consumed by darkness. She can spare henry’s feeling this one time to get the tear and then explain it all later after giving violet her heart back and letting that relationship run wherever it does.
Surely henry could understand that? I mean…honestly, I am surpised REGINA didn’t think of it. It seems like something she’d do. I personally think it was a brilliant plan. I think she should have told henry what she did and explained it all to violet too but yeah.
Can henry forgive her? I think so. Again, I think understanding the situation is key.
But then again, I’m just extremely dark myself. I would have done it.

I LOVE HIM!!!!!! I find the lost love backstory a bit cliché. Well. REALLY CLICHE. But this seems to be the formula on this show. Lost love or missing/crazy/evil parentals..
But yeah, Merlin is already epic. Cant wait to see more.
Who was the Dark One?
Honestly… in knowing that merlin tied the darkness to him, I am guessing either 1) Someone that his love also loved and so tying the darkness to him was sort of a way to get rid of the competition (hey everyones got a dark side, right?) and so perhaps the dark one killed her or imprisoned her as a way of revenge. 2) Family. Some kind of crazy/evil family member of Merlins. 3) A close friend turned enemy. Literally the dark to Merlin’s light.
Who was the woman?
Lady Of The Lake? Black Fairy? Both?

Emma then tricked Henry into crying over Violet’s rejection of him, even though Emma was controlling Violet dark magic. Yet, juxtaposed with those two events in Camelot is what we saw in present-day Storybrooke: Emma crying over a dreamcatcher after Rumple warned Emma that dark ones always lose the ones they love most. Yep, tell me again how Emma has moved past her lost love again.
Before Henry walked in the scene, after regina’s tear didn’t work, I thought Emma would use her own from her memories of Neal. which of course would have confirmed she still has not moved on. But I guess Adam does not wish to hear the moaning of the CS ship. But still. Even the scene of her crying over the dreamcatcher still shows intense feelings for him still remain.

– I love how deliciously evil Emma is. Yes, taking violet’s heart was so horrible but it was what had to be done….. She got results didn’t she? It’s sad and horrid but I loved it!!! And I called it somewhat earlier in the episode before it occurred 😛
– Merlin. MERLIN!!!!! I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE MORE OF HIM! Also first dark one had a cool mask.
– The usage of the dreamcatchers.
– And of course: NEAL REFERENCES!!! NEAL REFERENCES EVERYWHERE! HE IS NOT FORGOTTEN. Well at least, he was not for this episode. Next week we go right back to pretending he doesn’t exist, I bet.
DISLIKES:
– Merida/Rumpel. I am still not following this. It was one of the downsides of the episodes. I really hate seeing Rump like this and I don’t understand how making him brave makes him worthy to take the sword out of the stone.
