Much like Dark One is to Rumplestilskin, and Evil Queen is to Regina, Captain Hook is to Killian. It’s something that will forever be a part of him, it’s just how he uses that persona now that defines him as either good or bad, and in my opinion…he is neither. Hook is an Anti-Hero…the guy who gets the job done whether it’s the right way or the wrong way, and it has it’s advantages and disadvantages, but being an Anti Hero is somewhat better than being fully Hero or fully Villain. Killian Jones will be Killian Jones, but when it’s time to put on that pirate hat, then it’s time to put on the pirate hat and be Captain Hook.

Has Hook let go of the Captain Hook persona? Can he ever? And if he hasn’t, what does that mean for the future of his character?

It’s slowly slipping away. As I said earlier in this same thread, Hook is changing in a way that *I* personally don’t like. He isn’t the same guy he was before. I get he is evolving as a character, I guess >> but they should make him more interesting or just as interesting as he was before. But ofcourse, this is my opinion. Can he let go of his pirate persona? I think the better question is SHOULD he? This is Captain Hook we are talking about. I want to see that pirate rapscallion, not some sweater vest wearing business man (just using that as an example). Hook IS a pirate. He is one of the most well known pirates. They have already taken most of the pirate from his personality which was really what interested me in him in the first place. Now he doesn’t have a ship, is rarely effective in the story anymore, and I swear if he decided to have Emma magic his hand back, I will be very upset.

Here’s my question of contribution: What do you guys think will be in store for Hook (besides his relationship with Emma) in the coming season?

If he had his memories I would be…okay with that….. It would be a great oppurtunity for the young Bae actor to get in some great acting.

two episodes could focus on Anna and Kristoff (and maybe a CGI Olaf :P) and not involve Elsa… Maybe them searching for her, not knowing she was trapped, etc Also, killing off Elsa would be a bad move. We know Frozen will get a sequel… They may want to use something from Frozen 2 later on but if they kill her, its make it difficult probably. Can’t count your chicken before they hatch…. Can’t count your snowmen before you build them 😛

What Neal did was, ultimately, for the greater good. And it hurt Emma and it hurt Neal and it hurt Henry and it sucks. But he owned up to it, and she forgave him. He can justify it, but he doesn’t excuse the hurt he caused. He gave an actual apology. Snow and Charming don’t even apologize to Emma for sending her through the wardrobe, even though it was for the greater good.

find it interesting, how some struggle to call it a betrayal what happened in Phoenix, from Emma’s point of view in that moment and years later it certainly was.

Thatd the keyword. From EMMA’S point of view. She doesn’t know who she is, why he left, or whhat she is destined to do. From her mind, she thinks she gave her heart to someone, he got her pregnant, then he left her to rot in jail as he got away. We as an audience knows that is not true. What Bae did was something called being Selfless. He loved Emma and wanted to stay with her but knew she had something GREATER to do, to save countless people trapped in the curse. Staying with her would have put her offcourse and those people would be doomed for all of eternity and you know who would be to blame for that? Beal. Because staying with Emma would have been a un-heroic and selfish thing to do. What he did was make a choice for the side of goodness and it was a brave choice that would hurt the both of them, yes, but NEEDED to be done. He acted opposite what his father would have done. Because old Rumpel would have said “screw everybody. I want my own happiness” and stayed and that is villainous in my opinion.

That is your opinion. True no one is entirely good or evil, but in real life plenty of people are like this. I know two people who it seems fell off the delivery truck from sunshine and rainbow valley, who wouldn’t even J-walk across the street because their parents told them not to (seriously, this actually happened) and they are always nice, smiling, and always helpful to everyone and while they are boring as a sack of leaves, they exist. And plenty people like them too.

Betrayal is sure something hard to overcome in matters of a romance or friendship, but it’s not impossible to build new trust. Overcoming betrayal is more of an epic story than blind love.

Exactly. Which is why I don’t get why a lot of people cite that Emma wouldn’t ever chose Neal because of his “betrayal”. I would have been interesting to have gone this route but we all know what happened.

Question: Did Neal call the police on Emma? I’m getting spiel from a CS’er and this was said but I can’t recall that happening. I know she was caught and I just thought it just happened because he didn’t show up abs she was recognized (wasn’t her face on a wanted poster or something). But I can’t remember….

I was actually formulating a theory (can’t recall if it was discussed or not) about why Blue split up Grumpy and Nova and the funny thing is, its the exact opposite of what POM is saying…. I dont think Blue split them up to keep Nova pure and good… I think she did it to put Nova on the path to darkness.

Listens to Blue’s speech to Grumpy. It sounds very much like she is actually predicting the future (although rather vaguely). She says that the two of them will bring untold joy to the world but also that Grumpy must let Nova go so that she can become the fairy she was meant to be and that Nova can be a GREAT fairy only if grumpy lets her. This is odd since prior to this scene, Blue spent the entire episode being a flying b*** to Nova literally shutting her dreams of being a godmother down. Why? Because Blue knows Nova will NEVER be a godmother so much so to the point where she LAUGHS in Nova’s face. I think Blue wanted Nova heartbroken… Why? Because Nova was destined to become The Black Fairy and if she fell in True Love with grumpy, that would never have happened. Look at how grumpy changed when he split with Nova. He lost his dreams. He turned to the dark side in his own way and became grumpy and bitter. For all we know, Nova did the same. And Blue, playing as a “good” fairy banished her away somewhere. Anyway, rememeber how fairy dust comes from diamonds? Grumpy got busted with a stolen diamond that he was planning to give to Nova which I assume was really stolen from Regina. We know Regina has a BLACK diamond. Maybe BLACK diamonds make black fairy dust? Just saying >_> *takes crack theory and walks away*
