True, that’s possible. Dunno if I’d like it though, because the basis for this show is the tragedy that Rumple’s only way to get to our world to find his son was to destroy a whole world. If it turns out he could have just gone to Oz and stolen the Wizard’s balloon, then that makes the lengths he went to for the Curse sort of ridiculous. He knew about the slippers, so by rights he should have also known about the balloon if that was possible.
It could be that he searched for the slippers before the wizard came to oz. And it may not be the balloon that traveled lands, but the tornadoes. The wizard said his balloon got caught in a storm didnt he? And even then, it could be a special magic tornado that can only be created by a magic bean or the slippers or something that isn’t so easy as for Rumpel to just waltz into iz and obtain it. However, though I have to check, I do believe the wizard gets back to oz at some point in the books. I dont think it was by tornado or balloon but I could be wrong

It should already have occured. I know the story of snow white and others (like sleeping beauty) happen fairly recently within the story. But I feel like the story of the wizard of oz should have already occured in the show. So I don’t think Rumpel is the wizard of oz…..
BUT…… Its possible he is a wizard of Oz instead of “the” wizard of oz. Perhaps a new one? With the witch preoccupied and the previous wizard gone, who’s to say Rumpel hasn’t taken over. He is wearing the cuff tho so he may not have any magic… But the wizard of oz doesn’t have magic as it is 😛

Queen Jadis’s (The White Witch from Narnia) castle was located between two snowy mountains or hillls right? Seeing as water kills the witch, I dont think she’d be posted near a snowy mountain.

Considering she and Triton were the spawn of Poseidon (or Neptune if u watched the series) Then its not a big stretch to have Ursula as a goddess. Come to think of it, it’d be a nice if twist if you find out that the real reason Ursula threatened Regina wasn’t because she impersonated her… But because she messed with her neice! 😮

Sounds plausible but how much would a child that means absolutely nothing to Regina make such an impression in her head that she remembers what he may look like as an adult? Remember, Rumpel thought August was his son. If Rumpel couldn’t tell his own son’s face from August’s face I don’t see how we can expect Regina to even remember him if she saw him only once. Especially if she only saw him as a child.

She said something about how she doesn’t care what it takes to get revenge on Snow, even if it turns her green, she’ll do it. Or something.

Indeed. I’d also like to point out that Evanora and Regina kind of dress the same. They got those feathers (which Regina has worn on some of her outfits occasionally). So yes I am 100% certain this a Kermit the frog centric episode. Or a Wicked Witch one 😛
