He doesn’t have to be working for the witch willingly. It could be more of a sadistic choice type thing. The witch needs Henry or Emma for her own purpose and tells Hook, “Get Emma back to the EF or I kill everyone in it, including you, Hook.” So the witch sends him back and he tries to kiss her memories back to no avail and tries to warn her. Which obviously didn’t work (yay SwanFire 😛 ) anyway, I’m just saying its possible.

The ruby slippers have the power to send other people who aren’t wearing the shoes away. In Return to Oz, Dorothy gives the shoes to Ozma and Ozma sends Dorothy back home by clicking her heels. So its possible that Hook was sent back that way. But its a stretch. Unless the person wearing the shoes didn’t know Emma, I dont see why they’d send Hook of all people. I’m sorry guys… But I still think it’s possible he is working for the witch >>

I think magic is simply something ANYONE can learn. Unless under certain circumstances like with Rumpel, do I believe that magic is actually within the person. Cora learned magic and does it well not because she has the ability in her, but because she learned it from the best and she practiced. Same with Regina. Emma has magic, yes, but without learning how to use, its nothing. In Wicked (both novel and musical version) magic and sorcery is literally a class anyone can take, the only thing is most people just don’t pursue it. I think that is the case. I think the only person who was already born with magic is Emma. MAYBE Henry considering his heart. Everyone else in my opinion, just took the time to learn what they needed to know. There is nothing stoping Charming or Snow or Hook from being just as powerful as Cora or Regina. (rant over) I’m sorry, I’ve seen this topic come up before and I have rarely expressed my opinion of it, but the bottom line for me is that generally no one really has innate magical ability. It just has to be learned like everything else.

As far as psychological effects goes, I think if their are any people who are aware that there a many different realms (an infinite amount, according to Jefferson) and know that their lives are sometimes stories in the realms of others, I think that creates a terrifying feeling T.T not that because somewhere, your story is being told, but what about the stories you tell your kids? Imagine. We have stories and legends of actual boogeymen who steal away children and eat them. Some who take their skin and take their form. Others who slowly suck out souls in your sleep. How can you rest easy knowing…. Knowing…. That nothing is merely a story. That somewhere… In some land… That is life. Its horrifying.

Most of their wants and wishes can be solved with magic (maybe not resurrection, but longevity, riches, youth, etc) So religion in magical lands is bound to be less…reliant? Assuming they even have religion. Ariel (in the Broadway version) apparently prays to fates (in the song Beyond My Wildest Dreams, she mentions she hoped and prayed the fates would hear her pleas)

I’m on my phone and can’t skim through all the pages as id wish.
We know he is in our land, in New York. We know they have been calling him Henry between shooting. We know hr has a connection with Emma and that he kisses er on the forehead. I would like to point out out that Glinda kisses Dorothy on the forehead to cast a protection spell on her in the book series. Throwing that out there for discussion.

Maybe one who has taught him not to believe in fairytales >> but I’m still caught up on one thing: Y We No Get Name? Keeping his name a secret, even on set, is VERY suspicious. I will not drop that subject. Whoever this guy is, we know him whether by story or movie or previous mention.

I’m mostly a Dearie though I too am Grumpy fan (is there a name for Grumpy fans?) But for some reason…. I’ve always thought his role in the show should have gone to Dopey >> Snow and Dopey have a closer connection in my opinion, though I have only seen Snow White in bits and peices, I think you could have easily set dopey apart from the other dwarves, who could have hard working and focused while Dopey is the dreamer, clumsy, and weird one who gets no respect until he does something to show them all that he is just as much a dwarf as they are >> not that grumpy is bad, but Dopey just would have been a more interesting character, especially with the clumsybfairy Nova.

It just doesn’t look right.
I actually loved that. It reminded me of that baseball scene from Twilight when the nomads show up and even though they are walking, its like they are….gliding across the field. Very supernatural looking.

Yup. A and E want us to forget GOAT as quickly as possible. We’ll probably never hear of them again.
Thats what bothers me the most. I’ve been rewatching certain episodes from the first season, and it agitates me that here we are going on the second half of season 3 and we still don’t have answers from the FIRST season. Leaving GOAT as one big question filled thing really makes me want to curse an entire village. A lot of people have left the show because they don’t get answers. I’m not thinking of leaving the show at all but if this trends continues it will become very difficult for me to stay as attached. Like with True Blood. I use to anticipate the summer just to watch that show. Now I’m just like “ehh, True Blood is on. I guess I will watch.” Bottom line is, all we need is a line of dialogue from Brothers Darlings to explain what Tamara wad all about and I would be fine with it
