Emma and Graham had like 7 episodes together and their story was a better story than what we ended up with.

2) I can deal with Emma and Neal not being together. Unlike Hook, both Emma and Neal can be stand alone individual characters without relying on the other 🙂 Ur go to excuse is that everyone is bitter because you can’t accept different views. I’m here to be cordial and engage the thread. Neal died seasons ago. Hook story hasn’t even evolved remotely since. I have an issue with the latter not the first.
3) Swanfire isn’t a crack ship given it actually happened, “dear”. You are the one trying to undermine it by literally ignoring the show called their love TRUE LOVE and actually showed their love to be true in a completely clear way. It’s one thing tosay you didn’t like the ship. But be real here. Also I believe even JMO refereed to it as true love but I’ll have to search for a direct quote. You seem very bent of validating your ship. Hook and Emma are together. They can stay together. Calm yourself, love. ❤️
4) Emma didn’t know love until she met Killian? You mean….after she loved Neal, right? Wait didn’t you just say they were first loves?? Wait, didn’t she use True Love’s kiss to break henrys curse? WAIT: Didn’t she also use True Love’a kiss to break GRAHAMS curse?!?! Didn’t she also tell Neal that she loved him? And that she never stopped loving him? And that she will always love him?????!! Lol. That’s hilarious.
I guess we have to forget canon in order to accept this ship. That would explain it. But okay. No love for Emma prior to meeting Hook despite being shown she clearly has. Whoosh.
anyway, I’ll be the bigger person here and move the conversation on to something Else, and direct it to any other CS lurkers here who may have more varied opinions. So since we know next season Emma won’t be returning and I think it’s safe to say we all know Hook doesn’t really have much of a story outside of floating around her, what do we think is next for him outside of her? Michael has suggested that he will be trying to get back to her (as usual) but beyond that do you guys think this is a good time for Hook to be focused on in a different light other than CS or should his story remain ship related? I think that because the season is a complete reboot I think it’s a great time to show Hook as that old action packed dude we all fell in love with. While it’s understandable that he would want to break the curse and get back to his wife I really hope that in the decade that has passed since that he has more going for him and I would like to see that. Am I alone?

The way that Hook makes his lines about it is actually pretty decent viewpoint.
It also reminds me of something Snow said to Charming an episode or two ago where she said “Is this about Hook? Charming that ship has sailed and there’s a pirate on it, let it go”. It seems the writers are saying “This wasn’t something that was planned from the start, but we’re here now so just deal” and I agree with that. I think we all do. It’s not a bad thing.

Thats kind of a contradictory sentence. You say they weren’t destined to be together but then say they were destined to be together. Neal and Emma never had TLK either but we know their love was true based on the their totem, the swan pendant which survived even the dark curse. Beyond the parallels between (ironically one that you mentioned awhile back when you called Emma a lost girl and Hook a lost boy despite that Neal was the actual Lost boy, or that he’s the child of darkness and she’s the child of light, that fate and destiny brought them together over the course of centuries and had they not then the curse itself would never have been broken at all). Neal and Emma offer a more juicy story that was clearly intentionally planned (you say it’s because of Pan, but remember Pan was not intended to be Rumps father nor the main villain for season 3. that, like Hook’s heightened role in the story, was added in later so the idea they were only mean to be together to have Henry because Pan wanted his heart is pretty strange but whatever helps you accept that Hook and Emma were never pre-planned despite the fact that Hook himself literally said it. You are contridicting yourself by saying it’s not meta but then saying it is). Also, you are citing the words of other characters as a way to confirm Emma and Hook have true love but don’t you recall the times other characters also said similar things about SF? Belle confirming the swan pendant being a product of true love or Neal saying it was fate or destiny that brought them together? Does one count and the other doesn’t?
Their love is so strong that it was counteracting a memory curse.
But then why didn’t TLK never break any of the curses placed on Emma before if that is the case? She has had her memory taken before. And Hook did try to kiss her to break the spell. And then there was the time Hook was cursed and a kiss from the savior let alone a kiss from true love did nothing. I’m just saying. Food for thought. The true love heart test thing would be a good indication if not for the fact that Emma has a heart full of love regardless of Killian simply by way of being the savior. It would have worked no matter what. Had that occurred to any other non savior couple I would have believed but there has be some logic here and Emma’s heart was already shown to be all magical “love is strength” in season 2 so we KNOW tha has nothing to do With hook.
In the SF thread, I said the fact that they weren’t given TLK is very interesting given there have been plenty of opportunities for it and even their wedding could have been written for a kiss to show something magical. It never did. Her death could have been undone by a kiss from Hook. But it wasn’t.
mind you, I’m sure Emma loves Killian. She married him. And I’m sure Hook loves Emma. There is nothing more to him outside of that. But I’m pointing out that showing if their love is supposed to be the same as TL it’s not very consistent with how the show has shown it throughout. Think of all the ways true love has been confirmed (breaking of a curse, pixie dust, TLK,) in terms of that magical True Love, it’s never shown itself between them and they ended it by seemingly not caring to do it. It’s really, very strange. But who knows. That story is over and done now.

xD I’m sorry this is my new favorite thing ? But seriously because plot. The only real answer I can give is for why the kiss awoke Emma. I think the sword stabbing her was more of a magical thing instead of a physical thing. So the kiss undid whatever that was going to do.

Ingrid killing herself also broke the spell of shattered sight, if that means anything. Do we know any other examples of killing a magic user stopping their magic in this show? I think Killing Medusa saved Charming, right?

Oh yah, you know A&E love to play with their toys and they’ve still got a few on the shelf. I wholeheartedly expect to see Moana and Princess and the frog at least. Hocus Pocus would be such a great addition to this show but idk if they’ll go there. Who else could play Winnie except Bette Midler?!?!!
