The only reason I take issue with Pinocchio’s hair and eye(?) color changing is that when Mr Gold figured out that August wasn’t Bae, August taunted him a little bit saying, “Do I even look like him?”. That sort of indicates that The adult should bear some resemblance to the child. That’s my only beef.
[adrotate group="5"]weedithParticipantThese are just submissions, right? The nominations are usually limited to 5 per category.
How is Lana Parilla a SUPPORTING actress?

Don’t forget though that Mr. Gold said he had buried the knife because when Emma came to town he saw things changing. I took that to mean he wasn’t certain if certain magical items were going to “find” themselves with magic again. Thus hiding the knife from Regina. He said he didn’t want to take a chance. So obviously, he himself doesn’t even know how far reaching the affect of Emma’s appearance in SB is going to be. He must think it is possible she will bring the magic that is in stasis back to life, particularly in some of the objects that held magic.
Agreed.

There are other means of doing any of these things without fairy tale magic, for example, Technology, Science are simply other kinds of “magics”. Perhaps, Graham and the glowing heart are connected in a different way. Consider this scenario: The Queen has apples and boxes of hearts. Let’s say the nectar/poison of the apples still acts as a sleeping potion. Graham was given an apple, he goes to sleep. While asleep, Graham’s heart is somehow linked to the glowing heart which, btw, doesn’t have to be magic to glow. Remember those real-life Glo-Worm bedtime toys? Think like that. So, when Regina has a temper tantrum and crushes the heart, she broke her toy – rather humorous and subtle subtext, if you ask me.
Maybe I’m missing something in your explanation but it still sounds like magic to me. What is this “somehow” that Graham’s heart gets linked to the glowing heart after he has been sedated by a drugged apple? Unless you are saying that Regina put Glo-Worm innards into a real heart and when she crushed it (and it turned to dust, by the way), Graham just coincidentally died at that moment.
weedithParticipantAugust W. Booth. Interesting…….

Anyone notice how Rumpel’s voice changes the more evil he becomes. He had his normal voice in desperate souls then in the return when he said “even mutes can draw a picture” it went into the voice that Rumpel had from the beginning of the series. When Belle kissed him, it briefly went back to his normal voice and generally when he was around Belle his voice wasn’t as sing songy as it was normally. Anyone agree? Could the loss of both Bae and Belle have pushed Rumpel over the edge?
Yes, definitely. We heard a little bit of it after Rumple killed the maid. As I see it, his regular voice and manner indicates his humanity. The more he gives in to the magic and the curse, the less human he becomes. After he lost Bae I think Rumple went a little (a lot?) crazy. When he was a man, he was constantly afraid and tried to shrink and make himself invisible — shoulder’s stooped, eyes downcast, voice quiet. When he became all powerful he became the exact opposite — flamboyant and loud and in-your-face.
What I love is how willing he was to be vulnerable and lose that icy facade when he thought he was facing Bae.
weedithParticipantGot everybody caught up, I think. Great ideas everybody!!
I am calling Archie’s session with Mr. Gold. Especially this part
Archie: “Anger between a parent and a child is the most natural thing in the world.”
Mr. Gold: “I think he’s here to kill me.”
Archie: “Ah. That’s not.”weedithParticipantI think there will always be evil, vengeful people around. Rumpel wouldn’t need to orchestrate events to create one. He just needed to gather all the elements for the curse and then look around to see who was evilest of all and manipulate them into using the curse.
weedithParticipantBF did seem a little shifty when she was encouraging Bae to take Rumple away from FTL. Weebeastie makes an interesting point. We have heard over and over that true love’s kiss will break any curse, and we seemingly saw Belle’s kiss at least start to break Rumple’s curse. So why wouldn’t BF have mentioned that to Bae? She might have thought it unlikely that Rumple could find someone to love him, but it indicates that she was lying about the bean being the ONLY way to return Rumple to his pre-curse condition.
I think her agenda was to get rid of Rumple aka The Dark One. We don’t know what happens to The Dark One’s power if the curse is broken through a kiss. Does it just dissipate? Doesn’t seem likely that an enormous power like that would simply cease to exist. Maybe BF feared what would happen in that case and was looking for a way to get him out of that world and into another one. We don’t actually know what happened to Bae. We are assuming he wound up in our world, but there is no evidence of that.
I agree with the previous posters who suspect that there may be more to BF than simply a benevolent granter of wishes.
weedithParticipantEmma has absolutely no grounds to take Henry from Regina. Even if she proved the attempted frame job, unless Regina goes to prison, no court would take him. Even if Archie says she is unbalanced, they would have to prove that she is actually a danger to Henry. AND even if by some miracle they proved Regina was unfit, there is no way Emma, with her transience and criminal history would be considered an appropriate placement.
And if we arent thinking reality, but SB reality, it will never happen because Regina owns every authority there is. Unless Emma takes Henry extra-legally and counts on not getting arrested because she is the law in town.
weedithParticipantMaybe August was talking to Gepetto on the phone. They would not want to be seen together lest they reveal August’s identity while they still needed Mr Gold to think he was Bae. I guess that only works if Gepetto has his memories.
I like the idea that it was Jefferson too, since they would have similar goals. But it makes most sense that it was Henry.
