I think Cora wanted to show Snow the truth about who her mother really was, and why she hated her, and why she killed her. By doing that…it has opened Snow’s eyes to the fact that everyone has a past, and shifted Snow’s “Holier Than Thou” perspective to the grey area where she can understand both the good and dark sides story.
Snow White really was the only Charming left who never understood the grey area, as she always lived in black and white. But upon seeing her own mother being snobbish, and uppity…she really can see that there isn’t a total good or total evil. And I think that scene where she and Regina are joking and laughing about their pasts, shows that Snow White finally understands…
As for Cora being violent with Regina…I think she knew that she didn’t have much time, and Regina had the wrong impression of what her mother was going to do to Snow. So she had to do a “Move the **** out of momma’s way” on Regina in order to show Snow before she could leave.
But I would have loved to see Cora at least give Regina a hug, and did they have to make her look so ghostly…unnecessary much. And because we haven’t seen that magical showdown between Cora and Rumple…maybe we’ll see mama Cora again in S4 for another séance flashback special! Or that Cora vs Rumple has gone down the LOST PLOT HOLE of DOOM
Next séance….could it look like this because I really need to see Regina and Zelena confront their mother… 😛
